Well that escalated quickly! Ok so couple things. I remember taking that photo trip out to IMS in 2016 taking time of pics of like the whole place even outside areas! Think for the most part artists nailed it (we did add lighting around the track so players that wanted to do IMS night racing had a chance). Tire health thingy, when it gets down to 50% means you're done with tread and you're running on carcass layers. That's also why g29 was going nuts at the end. Pretty sure physics of Chevy vs Honda is same, only visually different. We didn't want to get that deep into it but easily could have modeled less reliable Honda engine life and weaker Honda aero efficiency. But 2016 was Chevy dominant and generally like parity in the classes. AI strategy is weird, I guess and they do run dumbed down physics. If they ran same exact player high detail physics it would blow up ps4 xb1 and most PC's. 120 AI is hella fast, you're braver than me! Get well bud.
Sato didn't achieve his only f1 podium at Indy in 2005 because the race was finished by only the 3 Bridgestone-tired teams which were Ferrari, Jordan and Minardi, sato was with BAR - Honda which ran on Michelin tires
I'm relatively new to indycar, this will be my 5th 500, but going to the first Indy Grand Prix is still one of my favorite racing memories. The original first turn was much more harsh in angel but it was a standing start. Someone in the first row stalled on the start and was impacted by somebody in maybe the 8th row. Being 150 yards away the debris cloud was enormous, but the driver walked away. Next year was a rolling start but indycar kept the first turns angle, which allowed an incredible passing zone during the race, causing a huge pile up in the packed starting turn. I miss the standing starts and I think it adds to the already impressive skills of the indycar drivers.
David Land Gotta disagree, after the weeks leading up to the 500 had almost no momentum or attendance in '12 and '13, the first Grand Prix more than tenfolded the turnout in the opening weekend, and in turn that of the rest of the sessions. Plus, the teams don't want to have to go back to IMS on 2 separate occasions; they bring both types of aerokits there in one trip, so making them do it twice would be a waste of time and resources. I think this year's race will be faster and better with the new bodywork, and should again do what it was meant to.

PC2 is cool , but we need a full licensed indycar game , with online , career , the works. I don't get why codemasters don't just get the license and push out a modified F1 201x engine game . its just going to be asset changes so it would be very little work. sure its not going to sell as much as the f1 license , but 90% of your work is done there so should be still easy to make a little profit
In 2014, Indycar started doing the road course race as a publicity stunt for the oval race later in the month… And now NASCAR’s doing the same thing. Get it together, motorsport organisations.
The first two sectors are better than the F1 track, but the final sector blows. No need for those final three turns, just run on the banking all the way down the straight.
I love pcars 2 but cannot bring myself to race the non oval indy track.... the ffb road texture/tyre bite/ffb information to what the car is doing is just non existent :/. Having said that on other tracks the indycar feels really great.
