You made a good point, I agree. Some melts are so strong I cannot be in the same room! I love high throw candles are great but mets are even stronger, too much sometimes.
Yasmine Nasir thanks, hopefully it is somewhat helpful and interesting! Scent throw is so varied from person to person though….hard to say what will work for most other people!
I admit it, I cackled when you brought up Yankee Candle, and honestly, I would suggest that BBW is just about the same. I'm an online vendor person all the way. At the very least, the scents are way more varied, but I agree with your overall assessment that most vendors have a very good throw.
sugarapplesweet yup I totally feel you on the YC! I have not melted anything from BBW ever…they only do candles, right? I am not a candle person….not a fan of the flame!
Love it! I think your results are pretty spot in with my experience. Really interesting! I think you and I would get along really well. I always deduce my life using an Excel spreadsheet...LOL! I love Excel!
JustJenny I am addicted to Excel spreadsheets, and I wish I knew how to do Access (although my home compute is a Mac and I cannot get Access on it….boo!) Tracking things on there makes everything so much easier! I think we do think alike for sure!
Re the guys, TDC is run by a husband/wife team (Ken and Amber). :) Have you melted less than 15 of UTC? They are among the the best throwers for me. Concerning Yankee, a lot of the tarts are light to medium, but for strong scents, you really need to know which ones to buy. Even if their throw isn't great (in general), you can't beat their scents. That's why so many vendors do numerous Yankee dupes. ;)
volcrazy89 aw dammit, I knew I missed one…Ken! I have not melted many scents of my UTC yet, just about five so far I think. I really want to get my hands on more but I keep missing the restocks. And I definitely agree on the Yankee….great scents, but their tarts just don't do it for me. I love Storm Watch, Sunflower, and November Rain in particular!
I love this! Great job! I'd also love to know what type of rooms/warmers you are melting in! :) Because in my home I can get a strong throw in my foyer but with the same scent in my grand room it's a medium throw. You are WAY more organized and analytical than I am! Lol I'm chalking that up to your job! Lol Thanks for taking the time to put this together!! ❤️❤️
Gumdrops Lollipops my ceilings downstairs are 10 feet high, I have a combined kitchen/living room area, and my entryway goes up to the second floor. I struggle with the entryway for sure….it is much harder for me to get a decent throw there, although I find that the scents tend to go "up" better than they go "out" in my entryway.
Could I send you a few of my tarts to explore and give a review of. I make Luxury Candles and have a tart line as well as a scoopable wax line. I don't know if it's appropriate to ask, but thought Id give it a shot?
Interesting. The places I've got the best throws from have been 30 St, Rosegirls, Supertarts, and 10 Digits. And then Vintage Chic, Tiffany's, Victoria's, and the Bathing Garden. Ooh I forgot, I also get really good throw from Sassy Girl.
plookie1972 I only use hot plate warmers, and I still have 24 watt hot plates (they no longer make the 24 Watt versions, the 20 Watt is still available though). My favorite warmer is a Yankee Candle 24 Watt hot plate…it throws everything pretty well! Other places to get warmers are from Michaels, Pier 1 Imports, or online on Vista Wholesale and Amazon.
Great video- you are soooo organized! Love the feedback- I strive to keep improving and videos like this help me 😊 btw, my big thumb accidentally clicked thumbs down at first but then I fixed it! Thumbs up all the way- just wanted to clear that up, lol 😉
VintageChic1927 LOL! No worries, I have done that a few times (accidentally thumbs downed and then had to fix it!) Hope your restock today is going well, looks like you just opened!
Michelle Crabtree I have not melted enough of HHS yet….I am melting one or two scents a week from my latest order. Hopefully I will have a better assessment here soon!
You sound like you know what you are talking about can you recommend the best vendor for bakery scents that have good/great throw I have tried front porch and candles by victoria only so far.... thanks for video
I've been buying my eco soy wax from bramble berry. I love their scents but I feel like their scents are very weak when it comes to smell. I add a lot of scent too so I'm wasting my money :( can you recommend a good soy wax?
Wish you would do a 2020 version. This was fantastic!!!!❤🥰🤩

Just start at 6:00 for the actual information
Thank you!

canuckgal LOL, thanks! I am a little hyper organizing on some things…but on other things I am not organized at all….makes no sense!

Love this video, very interesting! Thanks for doing it :)
Rebecca Hopkins it was something I was thinking about for awhile, I am glad I did it!

mechellemybell1000 I definitely need to order more from SGA, I have had pretty good luck with what I have melted so far!
Great video! You are WAY more organized than I am. I think you need to dip into your SGA stash. She's a top thrower for me!
kelly lange I do need to for sure…I have been browsing the website as well, trying to resist placing an SGA order!
I love your videos!! Very informative!! Can you tell me which tart warmer you like the best as
To watt and where did you get it from. Thank you!!!

Great video 👍👍👍
Are you making your own candles or are you buying them pre scented?

Didn't hear HHS? or did I miss it? Curious on your review from her wax.
