The Damage nerf on Ana I am not against...the idea of the damage from her grenade being nerfed too sounds fine, but Ana needs that healing for herself or she will be too easy to be taken down unless attacked by a low health gutsy character XD
Cameron waddington yea u should thats what makes playing squishies fun ;). Ik what u mean but having a battle mercy with balls fighting me is way more rewarding
Daily Predicament even if zen discords him, the shield likely won't be down for long and many tank players will block bullets with their body, not using a shield when in need.
EJB9 I agree with you, however if you communicate to your team (especially flankers) to focus him after he's discorded they should be able to finish him off or Atleast force him to relocate. I did this several times with Pharah in my most recent video.
Spinal He doesn't play zen that much and more importantly he was hacked and was waiting for his ult to come back so he could save his team mates i don't see a big problem with it. Also tf does you being on Xbox have to do with this??
Bounty Z everyone makes mistakes i dont think he even plays zenyatta at all but he did for this video thats wy he overanalyzes hero's like the ones he mains
As an Ana main I feel that the damage nerf was needed as she really was doing too much damage as a support. However, the grenade heal being toned down to 50 was a bit too much. I found that before it the burst healing wouldn't be enough in some cases. This also takes away her only method of sustain ( aside from health packs, but those are for the flankers really). But in the end Ana's ability to shut down nearly any ult in the game ( aside from all supports except zen, sorry zen ) is, in my opinion, what makes Ana Ana. I love the feeling that you get when you can feel the rage from the ulting genji as he suddenly takes a nap, or when you kill everyone in the zen ult when you use your grenade. So to me, while I wouldn't like it very much, the nerfs would have be ok with me, it would just require a lot more skill as the healing that she pumps out would be lowered. P.s. To all the people that are moaning about Tracer not being able to kill Ana effectively, I did the maths, if all the nerfs went through she could shoot, sleep, grenade and shoot again and you would be dead.
Nerf Jeff, remove his Tripple Jump ability and reduce his Ult from 8 to 6 secs plss Blizzard, ALSO DONT LET HIM DO LEGDEJUMP ITS TO POWERFUL AND ITS SO EASY TO MASTER IT
BASTION Genji needed a nerf but that was overboard. Nerfing his ult and triple jump as fine but nerifng his mobility made him an inferior tracer. She has 4 get out of jail cards he has one that is on a long ass cooldown that does not reset if you fail to kill someone
Caduceus it's cause they still need to "fix" him..... wall jump is glitchy and when you think it should it won't and all of the hits that dont register make it really annoying.
+Doom Desire _That actually sounds pretty fair to me. Reaper is shit so no one would be playing him anyway, Tracer or Genji would be better picks for flankers._ Not really the same role. Tracer and Genji are backline assassins/harassers. Reaper is an actual flanker i.e. playing on the front with the Tanks until he can move to the sides. Proper Reaper play generally isn't sneaking up behind enemies, he should be with Rein almost all the time.
i disagree with ana rebuff to an extent and i agree with zen renerf also to an extent you should be able to discord enemies behind barrier except barrier maker or only barrier maker and go for the in-between values for anas attacks
Van Nguyen well he said nerf the damage on her so she cant 3 shot flankers and keep the healing as it is so she cant kill as easy but still be a strong healer.
I agree with the Ana nerf but just to the damage not the healing, for Zen I can see why they changed it but that would have been a nice buff as a support main i'm all for buffing healers.
As someone who mains Zenyatta, I was all for the Ana nerfs because I felt a lot more relevant. The Zenyatta buff seemed a little too much though, even in my opinion. Part of the challenge in playing Zenyatta is trying to find that open spot in barriers to slip in a sneaky discord orb. I do play Ana a lot too, so it's not like I'm 100% on team Zenyatta, but overall I find him more fun and would like more opportunities where it feels more appropriate to play him.
MowseChao I main zen as well and i usually always pick him unless I start feeling like I'm burning myself out on him then I'll switch. As long as you're really good with him no one complains especially since you hardly ever see anyone in quick play picking any healer lol
I feel like the current Ana changes that are on ptr are fair (as an Ana main) but I really don't know why they got rid of the zen buffs I thought that it was a good buff but they nerfed Ana too much
To be honest, I think they need to start worrying about some of the other characters like Reaper, Genji, Roadhog and Winston. Reaper is hardly ever picked anymore cause he sucks compared to Roadhog. Genji can still be good in certain situations, but he has way too many counters who he has no chance against (Symmetra, Zarya, Winston, Mei). Blizzard could leave Roadhog alone for the most part, all they really need to do is decrease the hook range. Winston's playstyle allows for him to get in and out of places quickly, but its not that hard just to tear him apart, even tho he's a tank. (I'll be surprised if anyone actually reads the whole thing...)
Andrew Coates I'm mad that they're giving orisa changes before she even gets out of ptr yet it took like 3 months for sombra to even get just a tiny buff
Elemental Art You are mad they are trying to further balance a hero before it hits live? Perhaps they are learning from their mistakes with Sombra and doing the opposite of what you are complaining about with Sombra. There's nothing developers can do for some people in order to make them happy. "Hey you took ages to adjust the last hero....so don't do what we want and adjust this new hero! Do what I was annoyed at you for again." Makes perfect sense.
It doesn't make sense that a single grenade can heal one person and damage another. She should have to choose which grenade she wants to use for each cool down. Like symmetra chooses for her ult.
Why not give ana interchangeable grenades sort of how you toggle speed/healing on lucio and keep the values that it has right now. That would definitely make her more skilled and still viable but not as unfair as one grenade having both effects right now.
no, actually. he means the grenade itself. not anas healing. just like being able to toggle it to be antiheal or boost the heal. and just do damage if the enemy is hit with a healing one by accidnt.
He could make a 10 minute video about a toaster, not sure how interesting it'd be... I like the guy's channel but more and more his videos have turned into like 2 minutes of actually important news then 8+ minutes of him just kinda rambling and repeating what he said.
You forgot to mention Zens accuracy buff. Its great news for Zen players of all levels, and making the high level proficient players deadly killers. The Zen buff previously didnt mean much at lower ranks, and the Ana nerfs would make her a poor pick down here in Silver (for example). Ana is a close secondary for me, and I often solo heal, often with tanks not smart enough to cover my back from flankers, so i need this sustain (from personal experience)
Tricky I feel like if they kept the discord buff, it would balance out the healers so that both zen and Ana would be strong picks. I mean, think about the synergy if Zen discords the Reinhardt on the other team and Ana went ahead and threw a biotic grenade at him. DPS would shred him.
Your suggestion on Ana where only the damage out put should be nerfed of her granade sounds good. As for the Zen nerf, I don't think it's a good idea. I'm not saying that only because I really like Zen bit also because they need to find a way to reduce the OPness of those barriers. This really is becoming a game where who has more barriers wins!
I wish they would focus more on the balance aspect from the typical player's standard. The E-sports scene will boring as hell to watch, especially if the meta continues like it has been.
Here's a few quality of life changes that could help out the following heroes. Nothing major, just some things that'll help overall. Reaper - Allow him to leave wraith form at will and reduce area of Voice Call out when tping. The idea is to allow him to flank, surprise, and vanish much better. If he needs to escape with Wraith form he can leave the battle and rematerialize at his leisure. Torbjorn - Just give him a smaller head hitbox, and reduce the setup time and upgrade time of his turrets. This will enforce his master engineer role while making him a bit harder to kill. Zen - Increase the time orbs stay on out of sight targets from 3 to 5 seconds, and make the orb of discord more visible on enemies. This will encourage and enforce his role as a commander type her while making allies better able to capitalize on his commands.
To buff sombra, she should be able to hack while invisible. The hack would bring her out of invisibility though. This would allow her to take care of turrets and bastions without getting damaged before she can complete the hack.
A) Lucio can also handle flankers pretty well. B) DVa is not situational, it's just that some situations call for different off-tank picks. She's a great off-tank in any situation though.
ThatTransChickPlays mercy is fine. Only these monster pro idiots complain about her. She's one of the most played heroes. She is viable all the way up to the highest 5% level of play. Think for yourself and stop going by these youtubers.
Actually, due to how Zenyatta positions himself in the air, his hitbox is particularly favorable to spread weapons, as he is somewhat of a floating "ball" rather than a thin upright character. So characters like Reaper, Tracer, Sombra, and Genji's right click are effective against Zenyatta at a decent distance. I think Zen is fine as is (Discord buff would be nice but a little much, I actually do want the alt-fire buff, as it would just make it easier to go back to throwing harmony and discord), and he doesn't need a movement speed buff. He just needs people willing to keep an ear out for flankers and help him out when they come along. I feel comfortable taking on Sombra, Reaper, and Genji, as long as they don't suddenly appear directly behind me, but Tracer can go fuck herself sideways. Everytime I am about to kill her, she recalls. It is like I have to do 300 damage to kill her.
And...when they nerfed dva, genji, mcree, they literally nerfed them to the extent that they hardly get picked anymore ...but for Ana, they are scared that she won't get picked anymore. Kinda feelsbad
I thought the latest changes were balanced correctly. Zenyatta could fight Lucio for the second support slot, Ana was finally balanced, but now... I don't get why people were but hurt over these changes, I admit, at first they were sour, I was one of the people going "OMG! OMG! YOU KILLED ANA!" But then I calmed down and looked, well I can now play Zen, another skill shot projectile support so I could play at least A support if necessary. I don't know a single person who disliked his buffs, the community was happy with him, it was Ana we were angry about! Blizzard need to explain themselves! What did they see that we haven't that made him OP? Even if they want to revert Ana, don't revert Zen, he was fine really! I hope someone at Blizzard sees this and can at least explain their actions. It seems like the high skill cap hate train continues!
Ana, I never liked because she felt like a high damage and healing hybrid. when other supports were squishy, and never liked how she was the exception.
They introduce Doomfist, the barrier buster punch hero. A hero who's ult when used unleashes a massive punch that when it hits a big hero ( a tank type ) send them flying back in to other heroes. Right click is barrier busters, doing massive damage to any barrier in his fist's path.
Make the anti-heal fade over time instead of being a static debuff. (100% heal block for the first 1 second, 75% for the next second, then 50%, then 25%) . Grenade: Reduce the damage to 40 and healing to 50, but to improve ana's sustain, every time she casts grenade she also heals herself for 50 (regardless of where grenade lands), possibly double healing herself.
I'm glad blizzard decided to lay low on her nurf she's a really good healer and needs to be able to heal team mates but I do agree that she needs a Nerf on her weapon damage so people focus more on healing their teammates
As an Ana Main, I agree with reducing the damage on the rifle/nade but maintaining the heal. That was the big problem with the nerf: the loss of sustain, and the reliance it would create on playing around healthpacks
They didn't stick to the change because they were a "test", they made the test, discussed it, decided to go with the damage change for now and see what it does. It's the reasonable attitude, like they should have done with Bastion instead of buffing him sky high and having to emergency-Nerf him two days later. If that nerf happens not to be enough, they'll diminish the grenade damage too and she'll be perfectly fine.
*Talking about Tracer attacking Ana* "It's hard to kill the Ana, whereas with all the other support, well you could wipe them out" Zen: Discord the Tracer and start pelting her with orbs, kick her if she gets too close. Mercy: Whip out your pistol and aim for the head. I can't tell you how many times I've won a 1v1 against Tracer as Mercy. Symmetra: Well... She's Symmetra, she kills everyone who gets close. Even tanks. Lucio: He's a little harder to win with, but stay on healing and amp it up when you're on crit, you should be fine. Every other support except Lucio has good damage. Lucio can heal himself constantly, while taking damage though, which makes up for his lower damage because he can survive longer. Ana is probably the hardest one to win with when you're 1v1ing Tracer because Tracer is hard to hit, and she can recall from the nade.
I think they should give pharah a bigger body-hitbox when flying, and revert it when she's falling/on ground. It encourages pharahs to fly unpredictably, but also gives lower tier people a little better chance to take her out. She dominates lower levels, but isn't really played in higher levels because she's easily taken out. It won't help the higher tiers, but you can't really balance things for the higher tiers only, the lower tiers is a bigger share of the community.
I'm glad we're keeping the right-click buff. There have been countless times that the right-click secured victory (particularly in 3v3 because a cheeky widow is really easy to kill with a volley) but also times where the recovery felt like I died because of it. Also was awkward that you couldn't Discord/Harmony while recovering, so the decreased time will help with that as well.
You realize that buff would make zen go back into the main meta and the reason why people would complain is because blizzard gave us a spectacle of what zen could be in the future and then they took it away and gave Ana her power back (some people don't like Ana and want to see a new meta much like the 3 tank meta)
I'm not an Ana player and I agree that those Ana changes shouldn't go through, but not that she shouldn't be nerfed. 60 or 65 damage on primary fire, would still take 4 shots to kill target. For the grenade, 50 damage and 80 healing would be balanced imo.
It's the same issue with Reinhardt in the tank category. Why is he picked so much. Because he provides a reliable barrier to his allies. Blizzard answered to that by adding Orisa who also has barrirer. If Blizzard wants Ana to be picked less often, they need to provide a new support hero who can compete with Ana's kit. Blizzard needs to ad more content. This is the answer!
Maybe make her biotic grenade deal percentage health damage ... like 10% or 15% of max health. -> 60/90 to Roadhog, 20/30 to flankers or something like that. With these numbers, I as an Ana player would always have to evaluate if I should use it offensively on tanks which makes a great impact or if I save the grenade for self defense.
I agree with this. I remember when Zen was buffed with D.Va, Zen was in every game and if you didn't had one you couldn't won. Because when you tried ult he just made everyone invincible and they ulted back and you had no chance. And Ana don't have best self heal and the nerf would be too big for her.
Patrick Nolan that's overpowered and they wouldn't make a self heal ability for a support , either it's passive, shields, or lucio... self healing is for other things but that would make her unkillable by some heroes
honestly i feel they should bring back the zen buff. because honestly a meta where zen is strong is a meta where high skill heroes like genji are strong and lets be honest zen dive comp is way better than Ana tank meta. also i would argue if your gonna give boitic canister the 100 healing you need to nerf the damage on it greatly (if not just remove its damage) because it just provides to much of a hp swing in duels vs ana (a 160 swing to be a bit more precise ana +100 oponent -100) also the anti heal is still super strong that she would be worth bringing just for that honestly.
They should add a Dmg drop off to Ana's shot. probably like around 10-20m= 80 dmg ,20-40m 70 dmg, then 60dmg over long distances. By doing this it reduces her lethality so she doesn't do as much damage as widow over the same distance.
the thing is some heroes are really good on some maps so we get random maps so we need to change and not play the same hero all the time (sorry for my shitty grammar)
EN9ITY That's not the problem. The problem is the majority is going to not play a specific map, but the minority wants to play that unpopular map but since you can choose, you can't play it.
The Blu Spy Not Really, If you land your jumps on them that does damage , plus his weapon hits multiple targets. I find he just works better in teams though. I have seen too many Winstons just jump straight into like 4 players and then moan that they died but never called out they was jumping.
Well they already buffed his bubble a bit, which is a step in the right direction. Honestly he just needs a bit better survival. As most have already said, his weapon already hits multiple targets AND autolocks onto enemies. Give him a bit too much damage and he might be ridiculous
The Blu Spy no, this comment makes no sense. Winston doesn't kill people that are being supported, he kills the supports. Are you even a Winston main m8? Jump in, kill supports, jump out and that'll make it easier for your team to kill everyone.
I disagree. She's a healer. Healers shouldn't be able to both heal very well, and DPS very well. The damage nerf is very good, making her need that extra shot to kill heros. Even nerfing the damage on the grenade I think would be fine. I'm very glad, though, that they kept the bio nades heal at 100, otherwise she would be pretty much useless.
I agree that dropping the damage on the grenade while keeping the heal would be the best solution. I say this because the grenade also prevents the enemy from healing from anything for a short period so health packs are also useless for that time. The Zen nerf, I believe was a little OP, but I understand the reasoning for testing it. However the Zen nerf is offset with the Sombra buff since she is more likely to bring a shield down with the improved hacks and faster teleport beacon
I'm a zenyatta main and rein barriers are a pain, especially when dealing with a bastion behind. The discord through would have helped a lot, but I can understand why it was reverted
Nade should just have a smaller blast radius. Keep the heal at 100 if you smack it right on someone but only 50 if they're just near him. Apply the same sort of effect on hitting people directly. Like if Ana sleeps you first and smacks you with her grenade right on the kisser then that's fine, you knew the risks before charging her. And leave it 100 for self heal too so that she has some sustain.
Lucio needs a healing output buff on his amp it up. atm it's almost unnoticeable with such a short duration, with such a long cd. I'm thinking lower cd to 8 seconds or take winston route and start timer as soon as it's used. 12 seconds is a long cd for a healers only means of increased healing, and maybe make his sound barrier decay slightly slower to help him stay somewhat up there with zens transcendence.
Tbh I'd actually rather have the damage of ana's rifle reverted back instead of the nade healing and damage. But at least not all of the changes go live and I'm very happy with that ^^
I think that ana should have tracking bullets that fire at 10 shots per second with an infinite clip, 600 healing and 700 dmg. The bio grenade should have a stun effect, a slow effect and the radius should be map wide. Ana should also have her sleep dart hit box increased by 700%, and she needs 400 hit points of armour. This is a non-bias comment on what is needed for the game of overwatch.
I almost think it might be better for "balance" if Ana had to choose who to nade. Say they put in some code to make it so every time her nade is thrown the game checks to see if there are allies and enemies in the blast radius. If so, you only get the heal, not that and the anti healing on enemies. Make you have to decide when and how to throw the grenade instead of just looking for the largest cluster of players in a team fight. Not even sure all that would be possible, but would make her more interesting a character instead of the catch all support she is now.
Not even Ana mains were upset! The most of the community was about the Ana changes. People were saying she was fine where she was. I'm fine with keeping the damage nerf but that means no more Ana sleep combos. Ex: sleep, shoot, bio nade, shoot, kill. That won't happen anymore. Thank god the healing and grenade has been reverted because she just would have been too weak against flankers but dive tanks too like Winston.
Honestly heartbroken about the Zen nerf. I suppose I can understand that the discord was OP - since it does almost entirely ruin the advantage of barriers in the first place -but I wish they could have replaced it with a different buff. Maybe increase his movement speed or reduce the travel time on his projectiles. I feel like he's the most vulnerable healer and has no form of self sustainability. Lucio can wall climb, Mercy can jump to different teammates, Ana has her sleep dart AND grenade....Zen can only scramble to keep up with his team's tanks in a vain attempt to keep behind them.
It would be interesting if Blizzard decided to make Doomfist a "anti-barrier" character, that has abilities that do more damage to, or temporarily disable barriers
I agree with both... but I think Ana having better sustain would have balanced her well. Hey, maybe a decreasing heal amount based on distance from grenade impact? That was she could choose to give herself a proper heal by throwing the nade directly at her feet to heal properly, and force people to clump up for the full heal effect? Zen, having not played against him in PTR, not sure. But the idea of getting discorded through barriers grates on my soul as a Reinhardt main.
I personally think they need to take the damage of the grenade back down as well as the burst healing for her team. Give her a passive that allows the grenade to heal her twice as much to compensate for the survival aspect.
As someone who has recently begun to use Ana I agree with the decrease in the rifles damage I just think they should decrease the damage done when the grenade hits but keep the healing the same. After all she is a healer she is supposed to heal not go for the kills unless it's necessary.
they were pretty clear why they went back on it. they made several changes to ana, which is bad for testing because you can't definitively tell what kind of effect each change is having on it's own. so they scaled it back a bit, and tested one thing at a time. it would be like testing ten parts of a program at once and having it crash. you don't know which of the ten parts is what crashed it.
Wish they'd keep the Zen buff. Especially with more shields coming into play, but I see why this could be a problem. What if they made it so you could at least discord the shield itself. It could help bring a shield down quicker. And depending on the team comp/strategy still make him a viable pick? You wouldn't do it all the time because there's more value having it on another player but it could help on the big choke points. Just a thought.
Mb, they could make discord orb that affects directly the barrier - not targets beyound it. Blizz could even make some visual effect on this: for example barrier becoums blurry for players that are on the opposide side so they can't see sharp through it.
Unit lost just want to say watching your videos daily has helped me beyond belief. It took a while as this was my first god on PC so my aim was shit. I was blaming my aim, blaming people picks, and blaming my position. Once I eliminated bad positioning and accepting people's picks I could focus on the basics and my aim improved dramatically !! I finally had a whole night to play so last night I warmed up and hopped on with a new attitude and properly warmed up! I WENT UP 800 SR IN ONE NIGHT! All the way from silver to platinum!!! Keep up the good content and thanks for the tips
How their initial plan wasn't to just reduce the damage of the bio grenade is beyond me. That would be a fantastic middle ground, and - imo - an undeniably fair debuff
I think that a Mercy "cleanse" ability would be really useful at this time in the meta. She could get rid of debuffs on an ally (probably with a similar mechanic to Sombra's hack where it is interrupted by being attacked). Things like discord, bio grenade, hack, (potentially being slept/frozen)? Though that might be a bit much. I've found that there's really no effective counter-play to Ana (namely her bio-grenade). So re-working the weakest healer to have some sort of utility might be a healthy counter. Idk.
there is an easy way to counter the barriers with one buff to a single character actually. Either rebuff zen or make pharah's concussive blast ability to disable the shields temporarly and knockback without putting damage. Instead of rebuffing ana.
I feel like blizz is slowly learning how to balance the game. This is a good display of them not throwing too many balance changes to one character at once. (see d.va, bastion, roadhog, and genji for details on why throwing too many changes at once is bad.)
As a CONSOLE player, I'm glad they reverted Ana'a changes. They can take away the damage of the Bio-Grenade later on but she needed the healing. I also play Zen, not sure what to think on his changes. Thought he'd be okay.
I understand stand the renerf to zen but I loved the changes coming to him discord shields that's amazing that means I don't have to wait for Rien to drop his shield and I can hit a bastion through his shield
Support main here. I'm very happy they decided to scale back this nerf a decent amount. It was way too drastic as it was. Also I wouldn't call this a rebuff or renerf. It's still a nerf for Ana only not overly severe like before and zen is still getting an additional buff to his secondary fire and no nerf. Adding the discord through barriers thing would change the meta to a dive comp like you mentioned. I think blizzard wants to see how difficult the new shield meta is to get through before doing something like this permanently. Overall I'm very happy this was changed and so quickly.
I feel like doomfist might have an ability which shatters barriers instantly and sets them to cooldown like for rein etc. Because Efi added fortify to the OR-15 not the barrier, the barrier obviously was useless against doomfist. Maybe that's why they're not using zenyatta to discourage ubiquitous barriers, doomfist will do it in the future
I'm pretty sure the reason discord-through-barriers got removed is because it sucked for Winston to be so easily discorded. I don't think it'd be that big of a deal for Rein, since Rein players firestrike all the time anyway, there are lots of chances to put discord on them.
Zenyatta does still need some buffs, like either increase the damage of discord orb, or have his orb of harmony heal more, or maybe even allow him to have two of them up at a time with a 5-6 sec los fall off rather than 3 sec fall off
The Damage nerf on Ana I am not against...the idea of the damage from her grenade being nerfed too sounds fine, but Ana needs that healing for herself or she will be too easy to be taken down unless attacked by a low health gutsy character XD
Cody Dayton you shouldn't be afraid of a healer when you're a dps
Cameron waddington yea u should thats what makes playing squishies fun ;). Ik what u mean but having a battle mercy with balls fighting me is way more rewarding
eric liu you have a point haha
When Ana has no trouble killing a flanker, something is wrong...
When a flanker has trouble killing an ana, something is wrong... GIT GUD
Zenyatta is actually very strong counter right now against Bastions ironclad
Not at all. The Bastion will always have a barrier in front of him, making it impossible to discord him
totalymew What about when reins barrier is down, or he fire strikes, or he turns around for a flanker?
Daily Predicament even if zen discords him, the shield likely won't be down for long and many tank players will block bullets with their body, not using a shield when in need.
EJB9 I agree with you, however if you communicate to your team (especially flankers) to focus him after he's discorded they should be able to finish him off or Atleast force him to relocate. I did this several times with Pharah in my most recent video.
where did the bomb come from?
3:03 That, I think, was the worst zenyatta ult I've ever seen XD.
SmartMario1 and how is he gonna have a series that tells us how to play

SmartMario1 Lol chill out guys, he was half a second late due to the emp, that wasnt a bad decision to make
Bounty Z everyone makes mistakes i dont think he even plays zenyatta at all but he did for this video thats wy he overanalyzes hero's like the ones he mains
Couldn't you see he was hacked?
R.I.P The hopes and dreams of all zen mains
bilal moore got along fine before this ptr patch, zen will always be great
As an Ana main I feel that the damage nerf was needed as she really was doing too much damage as a support.

Youknow Me it was actually 9 to 6 seconds and they also removed animation cancel
I agree with Ana's rebuff, but disagree with Zen's renerf.
Hugo Barahona zen would be broken if you can discord a rein through a barrier and then let a reaper 2 shot him from flank
That actually sounds pretty fair to me. Reaper is shit so no one would be playing him anyway, Tracer or Genji would be better picks for flankers.
emc2 hairline and u think rein would be alone for the reaper to just walk in? of course there would be the rest of his team to protect the flanks
+Doom Desire
_That actually sounds pretty fair to me. Reaper is shit so no one would be playing him anyway, Tracer or Genji would be better picks for flankers._
Not really the same role. Tracer and Genji are backline assassins/harassers. Reaper is an actual flanker i.e. playing on the front with the Tanks until he can move to the sides. Proper Reaper play generally isn't sneaking up behind enemies, he should be with Rein almost all the time.
i disagree with ana rebuff to an extent and i agree with zen renerf also to an extent
you should be able to discord enemies behind barrier except barrier maker or only barrier maker
and go for the in-between values for anas attacks
All ana needed was a good damage nerf. Keep her healing the way it is/was.
Kamon23 She is a support omg..
Van Nguyen well he said nerf the damage on her so she cant 3 shot flankers and keep the healing as it is so she cant kill as easy but still be a strong healer.
Van Nguyen Did you just "omg" the suggestion to make a support less able to straight up kill people while still being viably supportive?
C.U. NextTuesday actually they cut her grenade healing by half so fuck off you stupid mong
So basically you aren't even reading this conversation before making yourself look like an idiot. Okay.
Very good Zen ult there Sty
RIPRedwood he was hacked
arthur medeiros thats not an excuse he shouldn't have ulted then lol
Gustavo Villarreal when he ulted people were still alive to be fair
MowseChao His Orb of Destruction weapon spread will be removed so that's a neat change
MowseChao him and ana are not interchangable... zen is a dps that can heal like soldier. ana is a healer that can do damage.
MowseChao I main zen as well and i usually always pick him unless I start feeling like I'm burning myself out on him then I'll switch. As long as you're really good with him no one complains especially since you hardly ever see anyone in quick play picking any healer lol
Zen can not heal himself like soldier.
I feel like the current Ana changes that are on ptr are fair (as an Ana main) but I really don't know why they got rid of the zen buffs I thought that it was a good buff but they nerfed Ana too much
3:03
lol he ults and doesn't save a single damn person
this is great imo, perhaps the damage nerf was needed, but the rest was way too much. She should be much more balanced now.
Andrew Coates ikr
Andrew Coates I'm mad that they're giving orisa changes before she even gets out of ptr yet it took like 3 months for sombra to even get just a tiny buff
Andrew Coates Hahaha buff Roadhog nice joke
Elemental Art You are mad they are trying to further balance a hero before it hits live? Perhaps they are learning from their mistakes with Sombra and doing the opposite of what you are complaining about with Sombra.
There's nothing developers can do for some people in order to make them happy. "Hey you took ages to adjust the last hero....so don't do what we want and adjust this new hero! Do what I was annoyed at you for again." Makes perfect sense.
bearate I didn't even understand what you said
It doesn't make sense that a single grenade can heal one person and damage another. She should have to choose which grenade she wants to use for each cool down. Like symmetra chooses for her ult.
thats a fucking terrifying thumbnail
Why not give ana interchangeable grenades sort of how you toggle speed/healing on lucio and keep the values that it has right now. That would definitely make her more skilled and still viable but not as unfair as one grenade having both effects right now.
I actually like this idea a lot.
Julio Garces preach
Julio Garces then no one would play lucio
no, actually. he means the grenade itself. not anas healing. just like being able to toggle it to be antiheal or boost the heal. and just do damage if the enemy is hit with a healing one by accidnt.
this sounds like a nice idea.
Watching Sty try to play heals physically hurts.
This man could make a 10 minute video about a toaster and it'd still be interesting
Ale Benenati good one
Ale Benenati fun fact my blizzard name is bravetoaster xd
Dirty old Man in speedos wow gtfo
He could make a 10 minute video about a toaster, not sure how interesting it'd be... I like the guy's channel but more and more his videos have turned into like 2 minutes of actually important news then 8+ minutes of him just kinda rambling and repeating what he said.
I enjoy listening to him tbh. Can't wait for the toaster OP vids lol!
3:00 Ahahaha, you tried Sty, you tried
3:04 that ult
You forgot to mention Zens accuracy buff. Its great news for Zen players of all levels, and making the high level proficient players deadly killers. The Zen buff previously didnt mean much at lower ranks, and the Ana nerfs would make her a poor pick down here in Silver (for example). Ana is a close secondary for me, and I often solo heal, often with tanks not smart enough to cover my back from flankers, so i need this sustain (from personal experience)
As a Zenyetta player, the re-nerf was very upsetting, but it's for the best.
Tricky Zen main here too. I was soooo looking forward with that buff.
Tricky I feel like if they kept the discord buff, it would balance out the healers so that both zen and Ana would be strong picks. I mean, think about the synergy if Zen discords the Reinhardt on the other team and Ana went ahead and threw a biotic grenade at him. DPS would shred him.
Zen does need some sort of buff though, I really want to see him do well again.
3:00 fantastic ult
Your suggestion on Ana where only the damage out put should be nerfed of her granade sounds good. As for the Zen nerf, I don't think it's a good idea. I'm not saying that only because I really like Zen bit also because they need to find a way to reduce the OPness of those barriers. This really is becoming a game where who has more barriers wins!
Unless they're trying to reduce a bit the pace of the game in order to make more enjoyable to watch for the e sports scene.
I wish they would focus more on the balance aspect from the typical player's standard. The E-sports scene will boring as hell to watch, especially if the meta continues like it has been.
What about the Sombra buff to her team being able to see hacked health packs through the walls? What do you think of that?
kid kytes awesome
he's actually going to make a 30 minute video on it
actually it's just a 10 min video that's replayed 3 times
Blizzard: Rein barrier reduced from 2000 HP to 10HP
Stylosa: This is intresting
not overly happy they are undoing the nerfs
If zen needed a meta what if zen had a dicord orb FOR SHIELDS like "barrier discord"
Javy Olmos no thanks
GG BLIZZARD U TAKE ME FLYING THEN AT THE HIGHEST POINT U DROPPED ME.😀 thx blizzard
Well, Ana still be in every competitive match.
Zen still has the alt recovery buff
Van Nguyen that's correct isn't it? Her alternate fire recovery was changed from 1 second and I didn't see it reverted
Jamie Read ya that's right don't understand what he's going on about
He thought you meant Ult I think
I am a preist Yeah
Why does Blizzard hate zenyatta? One of the largest hit boxes in the game, slow af,practically flanker meal.
Felipe neves Except his hitboxes are relatively small and he moves the exact same speed as everyone but genji and tracer...
Felipe neves you think they hate Zen? Let's look at mercy shall we?
ThatTransChickPlays mercy is fine. Only these monster pro idiots complain about her. She's one of the most played heroes. She is viable all the way up to the highest 5% level of play. Think for yourself and stop going by these youtubers.
he does a shit ton of dmg....
Kinda feelsbad
as a junkrat main my dreams have not been shattered... yet
I like the rifle nerf, I agree the damage on the grenade is the problem, not the heal. Just nerf the damage and keep the heal at where it is.
Yay triple tank is never going to leave.... yawn. -_-
another triple tank meta
As an Ana Main, I agree with reducing the damage on the rifle/nade but maintaining the heal. That was the big problem with the nerf: the loss of sustain, and the reliance it would create on playing around healthpacks
I love how no one complains about how Lucio has been the S tier pick practically since the game started.
I love Lucio though, he's a great support.
5:43 That poor Phara.
zen u tried
Blizzard needs to stick to the changes and people who complain just need to deal with it.
AlphaSyncz You don't understand what the PTR is so..
*Talking about Tracer attacking Ana* "It's hard to kill the Ana, whereas with all the other support, well you could wipe them out"
Zen: Discord the Tracer and start pelting her with orbs, kick her if she gets too close.
I can honestly say as a Zenyatta main, anyone complaining about the discord nerf really isn't a zenyatta main. Get good.
Derek :] I would be happy if Zen stayed as he is but had a slight movement speed increase.
What are you talking about? I'd think anyone would be happy about buffs/ complain about nerfs for their main.
You realize that buff would make zen go back into the main meta and the reason why people would complain is because blizzard gave us a spectacle of what zen could be in the future and then they took it away and gave Ana her power back (some people don't like Ana and want to see a new meta much like the 3 tank meta)
Derek :] I'm a zen main and I don't have a problem with him how he is now but I think he should be able to move a bit faster
I'm not an Ana player and I agree that those Ana changes shouldn't go through, but not that she shouldn't be nerfed.
60 or 65 damage on primary fire, would still take 4 shots to kill target.
For the grenade, 50 damage and 80 healing would be balanced imo.
ANA is, by far, the most OP hero. Always has been. Every match should NOT contain ANA. ANA needs nerf.
What if ana can shoot herself with the bio rifle
But it has a cool down. Or she can inject herself with one of the darts
Patrick Nolan that's overpowered and they wouldn't make a self heal ability for a support , either it's passive, shields, or lucio... self healing is for other things but that would make her unkillable by some heroes
Christian Rodriguez did you even read the comment? Clearly you didn't understand it....
come on just nerf Ana already, seeing her in every single game is getting as old as the granny herself.
Sasha B. Damn
Sasha B. hanzo main
lol good one
Dan Jordan nah Genji main because Genjis can't kill Ana.
said someone who probably never plays healer
Can We stop exaggerating about ana nerfs?
honestly i feel they should bring back the zen buff. because honestly a meta where zen is strong is a meta where high skill heroes like genji are strong and lets be honest zen dive comp is way better than Ana tank meta. also i would argue if your gonna give boitic canister the 100 healing you need to nerf the damage on it greatly (if not just remove its damage) because it just provides to much of a hp swing in duels vs ana (a 160 swing to be a bit more precise ana +100 oponent -100) also the anti heal is still super strong that she would be worth bringing just for that honestly.
They should add a Dmg drop off to Ana's shot. probably like around 10-20m= 80 dmg ,20-40m 70 dmg, then 60dmg over long distances. By doing this it reduces her lethality so she doesn't do as much damage as widow over the same distance.
Will they allow us to choose what maps we play on competitive? So stupid making us play broken maps
then everyone is going to pick the same map over and over again
the thing is some heroes are really good on some maps so we get random maps so we need to change and not play the same hero all the time (sorry for my shitty grammar)
EN9ITY That's not the problem. The problem is the majority is going to not play a specific map, but the minority wants to play that unpopular map but since you can choose, you can't play it.
Broken maps? What do you mean?
no or else some maps wont get chosen, like csgo
Anybody else think Winston needs a damage buff? He practically cannot kill anyone. If they have Harmony or Mercy, it's actually impossible.
The Blu Spy Not Really, If you land your jumps on them that does damage , plus his weapon hits multiple targets. I find he just works better in teams though. I have seen too many Winstons just jump straight into like 4 players and then moan that they died but never called out they was jumping.
The Blu Spy mercy is not that difficult to kill
TAHT'S ALOT
Well they already buffed his bubble a bit, which is a step in the right direction. Honestly he just needs a bit better survival. As most have already said, his weapon already hits multiple targets AND autolocks onto enemies. Give him a bit too much damage and he might be ridiculous
The Blu Spy no, this comment makes no sense. Winston doesn't kill people that are being supported, he kills the supports. Are you even a Winston main m8? Jump in, kill supports, jump out and that'll make it easier for your team to kill everyone.
ana, a sniper that has to hit her target 4 times to kill a 200 hp character, feels bad man,
nerfing her fire rate would have been better
Zen is an offense that can heal, similar to soldier.
Jamie Ellis Yes, but he has little defense and doesn't heal nearly as fast as Ana
yes but she already has the best single target healing in the game
Nerfing her fire rate would have nerfed her damage per second the same way and her healing per second. That's a terrible idea.
Ana mains whine too much
They should change sombra into a support and make her hack have the ability to decrease cool downs for your teammates.
I agree. Love your content man. Also, I like the idea of keeping the heal but reducing the damage.
You didn't mention that while Zen had the discord through barriers nerved, he actually got a different buff with his Orb spread...
I like how they are finally using the PTR for more than just an internal system test
