Nice video revisiting a largely forgotten title. However, around 5:20 you say there's no way to look up or down - try Page Up/Page Down. I just tried it, and it worked for me. It doesn't look like it's listed in the control configuration settings, so it's understandable you missed it!
What's interesting is in the original trilogy Commander Keen killed his enemies. Even in the opening story section of Keen Dreams he tried to kill the Tater Troopers switching his Raygun from Stun to Deep Fry (I might be remembering the setting he shifted to wrong but it was definitely a fatal setting). The only reason the Tater Troopers survived was that the power supply for Keen's Raygun was drained.
It's an interesting detail that the only enemies you can actually kill in Commander Keen 4 are the flying bugs. I mean, that's just like in real life since people kill small bugs with no remorse.
Another really nice video of yours! I enjoy these quite a bit, even if I don't care for the games themselves. Little bit of feedback: the intro was a tad too long. At almost 4 minutes (which is almost a third of the video), I was really impatiently waiting for you to talk about the game already. I think I've said it before, but 1-2 minutes is plenty for an intro. The rest was very nice though, like all your videos.
Great video! This is one of my favorite Apogee platformers, happy to see it getting some love. For some reason, a lot of people insist on playing this game on "medium" difficulty, and then complain that it's "overly difficult and unfair" - even though easy difficulty is right there. So I'm really happy that you didn't do the same here! In fact, the game seems to have a bit of a reputation for being extremely difficult, which I never understood - I actually think the early Commander Keen games are way harder. I don't get why so many people don't just play it on easy and enjoy it..
Glad you enjoyed the video! I would say episode 1 and 2 are “fairly” straightforward difficulty wise, but I found number 3 very difficult… but as I mentioned that really was par for the course during the 90’s! Totally agree Keen, even some of the earlier segments of the keen games are far more difficult!
Snake Logan - together with Halloween Harry - had certainly an Impact on the new Duke Nukem. The First Duke Nukem had very little Personality and was more in the Science Fiction than the Action depardment. The Gore and Thrashtalk comes from Biomenace, and the Womanizing Hero and slimed Hostages come from Halloween Harry.

Oh my goodness! Thank you for the tip. I wish I knew that! Glad to see there’s someone who still has it installed 😀

I still have nightmares about those potato's from Keen Dreams!

Cheers for the kind words as always... I did take your advice on chapters so it can be skipped :D

One of my childhood games. Glad that you made this! Definitely a game that needs to be remembered more. Subscribed :)
Thanks for the kind words! Glad you enjoyed it!
I'd be interested in learning more about older/obscure games. Keep it up!
Thanks for the kind words! I’ve got an old Star Trek Classic from the 90’s up next!
I had a demo for this from a mag cd. Had so many of those....lots of semi lost media.
Subscribed! Solid content mate
Thanks so much for the kind works! Happy to have you here :)
Ahhh such nostalgia with this game. Would play this on my laptop for hours on end. I didn't know what i was doing tho 😂
Sounds a lot like me when I tried to play the early flight sims as a kid 🙃

This game is mt childhood. I definitely liked thst you made a video about it.
But we'll most probably see an Apogee HD overhaul of this game.
I know for sure I'd rather see this than the Alex Kidd HD remake...!
