In the station and fare example, we can save time by going with the option. We can see the ratio of the total amount collected between the first class and the second class is 4:40 I.e 1:10. When we go by the option, we are looking for a number when it is added to 10 times itself will give 1100. Clearly, 100 is the only number to fit in that ratio. Hence we get our answer.
Ohh it helps thank you

i didnt understand ,someone plz explain
The rupee question you can just write no of 50p coins as 220-4x.
Then equate their prices , x/4 + (220-4x)/2 + 3x = 160.
No need for 2 variables.
why 4x ?
@@KlutchyRex one 25p coins = x, therefore one 1 Rs coin = 3x, so in total these are 4x coins.
Therefore the total no of 50p coins = 220 - 4x

Again if taken out from B ratio doesn't changes but when added to A it's ratio m:w changes. Why is it so?

Could anyone please explain me how did it become 19/3 and 11/3 I don't understand why /3 has come
After adding A's 10 l the ratio of M:W in vessel becomes 19:11. Now 19+11 units = 10 l , 30 units = 10l , 1 unit = 1/3 , therefore now M= 19 = 19*1/3 = 19/3 same for W.
can someone please explain me the first ques in which 4 to 5 is change in 25% while 3 to 4 is 33.33% and how sir divided 14.25x with 5,70,000 easily. please help me with that.
By going from 4 to 5, there is increase of 1/4 or 25% and same is the case with 3 to 4. Please go through percentages video once.
Simply divide 5,70,00000 by 1425 and you get your answer.

Sir what if we don't narrow down the number 38:22 to 19:11 ...is the answer is still going to be same because I got the answer differently at the end ...😬
do u know where this 19:11 came from?
In the last ques of vessel how come the ratios are divided by 3 plz explain once?
Ratio is 19:11 which means 19 milk in 30 total mix and 11 water in 30 total mix
If 19 and 11 are in 30 litres
Then 19 /3 and 11/3 are in 10 litres which is what we needed.. Hope this helps
Why are people talking about voice not about the concepts and hard work. Please Use headphones!
People were talking about voice so that he can adjust in upcoming video
Sir first sum(Salary) 4:5 - how it is 1/4th or 25%?
Same ques 😢
We are going from 4:5 and we need to calculate increase in 2017.. Taking Lcm of 4 and 5 is 20. And 5 by 20 is 1 by 4 which is 25% .
Same goes for govind . 3:4 , Lcm of 3 and 4 is 12
4by 12 is 1 by 3 which is 33.3%
Use this
Changed value-initial value÷ initial value x 100℅
So, 5-4/4 x100℅ will give you 1/4 x 100℅ or 25℅

sir I have a doubt 🤔 on 11:35 sir why you put 13x/2

dear respected sir , in the first question , you got the value of x for 2017 and you used that value for 2016 but I think we should not do that , can you please resolve that issue
dude he normalised both year salary using x , watch the explanation again
in the paise rupee sum,why are you not adding by LCM in 13x/4 + y/2........can anyone explain
You can do that as well. Just take the lcm as 4 then equation will look like: (13x+2y)/4=160... Substitute further till y= (640-13x)/2. Now put the value of this y to equation 1. i.e. 4x+y=220. Solve further to get your answer as x = 40. Now back to your question. Sir is not doing this because its time comsuming. CAT is all about speed + smartness.
Can someone tell me how the ratio come 1:3 please
25 paise = 3 times 25 paise i.e 1:3

10:07 can you please explain
how the amount of 25p came out to be x/4
Total amt in the question is given in Rupees format. so taking a rupee into consideration. 25 paise is 1/4th part of a rupee. So 25p as x/4, 50 paise as x/2( as its 1/2 of a rupee) .

How did sir find out that 4 is to 5 has a increase of 1/4 or 25%

sir can you please explain how to cal percentage increase of Jai & Govind cause this seems a new concept :(
percentage is change in values divided by initial value. For Jai it changed from 4 to 5; change is 5-4=1 so 1 divided by initial value that is 4; 1/4*100=25%
#NGU
Sir what if we try to solve the last question by alligation method? I got the answer 77:13. I am not able to figure out what went wrong. Could you please guide me?
Plz say how u have done this last que by aligation method
Using alligation method, the answer comes to be about 74.44/25.56. This answer is also correct. If you divide this answer by 1.11, we arrive at 67/23

At 14.10 sec how the ratio 1:3 come
Because 1 rs coins are thirce as 25p coins
At 27:00 The New quantity of Milk & water in vessel A (after removing 10 l) = M:W = 16 : 4 => 4:1(divided by 4). Atlast instead of adding 19/3 to 16l.I think it should be milk = 4+19/3 water = 1+11/3.
Please correct me some one if I am wrong.
earlier vessel A had 30L of mixture in 4 : 1, after removing 10L ( 2L water + 8L milk ) , quantity left is 16L of milk & 4L of water. you should add 19/3L of milk to remaining quantity of milk i.e. 16L, same case is with water.
what you got wrong is - you simplified the quantity 16L & 4L to ratio 4:1, which is wrong as it's the ratio not the quantity left.

When you add 10 L from A to B, in B ratio of milk and water changes from 3:2 to 19 : 11. Now you add water from B (having new ratio 19 : 11) to A, that would give you new ratio of 67:23 for A.

Sir I have a question
In fare and passenger question
Like you told fare is 4rs and 1rs in ratios respectively for first class and second class
And similarly passenger ratio is 1p and 40 p for first class and second class after solving we 25 times of ratio as actual amount collected
Now the amount collected from first class passenger is 4rs*25 =100
Here I have a doubt that you multiplied 25 to fare price of first class but there could be a case where the price is same 4rs and 1 RS but the passengers are 1*25=25 for first class and 40*25=1000 for second class then also we will get 1100 as per options the way it correct but out of curiosity I want to ask
Plzz explain?

@@ayushkumar-lr3bv its actually (4rs*1p)*25 ie, he didnt multiply 25 with fare he multiplied with amount.
3:27 how ratio become 1:4 ....from 4 to 5 it increases by one but how 1:4
We are calculating change in salary in terms of percentage. How much has it changed (5-4=1). Now with respect to old salary we'll calculate percentage change. So 1/4 which is 25%
Yas brother later I got it ... I appropriate it
there was no need of percentage method. just take the ratios like 5k/x = 4/5 calculate x this will be jai 2017 salary, similarly 6k/x= 3/4 calculate x this will be govind 2017 salary. Add both values of x equate to 57,00,000. You will get the value of k. Put it in the 2016 ratios taken in the form 5k:6k
