I've been dreaming to do this as a profitable hobby for years. Recently I turned 18 and only now I have access to more money which means it is possible to start this hobby. Finding deals, building, setting up pcs and sell them. The idea of including a guide was genius as well as finding out what type of consumers we are looking for, definitely shed a light and brought the idea back to me. The video was really entertaining and easy to follow, the only thing negative I can point out is the video quality, maybe trying to record with more light will improve it. Thanks a lot for this video, keep it up!!
thanks for your kind words! I hope you have a great time building and selling PCs and I'm very glad if this video helped you! I am working on my recording set up too so I can be a bit better lit, so good point there too!
Thanks! And definitely a good point about selling locally, it would’ve gotten me close to $100 more if I didn’t use Jawa. Probably highly dependent on where you live
Very good side hustle Personally ive stopped picking put parts and getting deals. Very time consuming Been flipping pcs that are already built and resell them. Maybe take out some storage and save them for later Just renectly bought a pc for 50$ cuz he said it overheated. Fixed it and sold it for 550$
my first flip made me 15$🤣 Second one was little better - made 50$ profit Now waiting for parts to arrive for 3rd pc, build and sell hoping for 60$ profit
Yeah I’m guessing you make more and more for higher cost PCs, so you probably have to just work your way up But thats awesome that you’re pulling it off!
Hey as long as that's time you would of wasted anyway, you're doing better than having that money in the stock market unless you are a top 0.1% trader, and got to enjoy your hobby while at it, making a little cash.
that GPU mount you showed is the exact one i have. it is also too tall for my pc, so i just took off the cap and it was the perfect size. didn't feel great doing that as there was no foam on the inside but it works
Excellent video. Its rare to see people being it down to Profit per hour spent. Its shows its not a Get Rich Quick scheme, but optimisation of the process it can being it some good extra money, particularly if you like building PCs. Also not many hobbies bring it money compared to costing money. Another benefit of the new case is that it makes the PC look so much better. Cleaning the dust drom a used case is very time consuming if done properly and won't look as good. This is particularly important as many buyers will be buying a present for a kid and even many adults like something sitting on their desk to look good (especially of theu are spending nearly a $1000 on it).
Yeah good point about the case! And yeah, it's really cool that you can make money even on your first build, and definitely increase it as you get better!
Yeah I’m not gonna lie I didn’t realize it was plastic when I ordered it I might use it again for a super budget build as I don’t think anything else beats it on price, but for a $1000 build I’d look for a nicer one
That is a good point, cause then you could set it up from another computer too, right? Maybe that's why a lot of PCs I saw on Jawa had Windows Pro, because it doesn't really add much for the buyer but it might be helpful for the sellers...
Oh I didn’t think third party resellers were illegal, though it is a bit suspicious that they are so cheap… I used a site called Keysfan which was recommended by a pretty popular PC building RUclipsr so I figured it was safe to use. Maybe I was wrong though? I’ll have to look into it more I suppose
@danovation It is safe to use I believe, but it isn't the most legal way to activate them. As far as I have seen a lot of pc flippers use them, so you probably won't get in any trouble. And also I will try Keysfan, thanks.
Step 1... stop telling everyone they can do it lol... the market is so flooded with new ppl trying to build that it just gets harder and harder to sell for everyone
it's a fair point to make at first glance, but tbh the amount of people that will watch this video is not going to make much difference to the PC building/selling market as a whole, and very few (if any) of the people who watch are going to start selling PCs. hopefully the ones that do, do a good job of it and help the industry become better!
@@danovation I know its a small amount of ppl on only 1 persons video, but when you add up all of the countless pc flipping channels, it can make it seem like its just so easy to do it and make money, and its just gotten ridiculous lately, esp this past year. I myself have been selling for a few years, and from the time I started until now the market seems like its 20x what it was, mainly from youtube channels obviously. I myself have tons of ratings, reviews, and past sales that ppl can look at so my business hasn't really dropped off much, but I do get multiple messages weekly from ppl in my area who just started selling and are asking me why I'm able to sell so much stuff and their stuff isn't selling after months and I have to explain that they have no selling history, and with all the scammers out there if you don't have any selling history then no one will trust you, esp when there are soooo many other sellers out there now who might have similar deals but also have no selling history
@ that's definitely true so far in my (very) limited experience, but there are obviously examples that disprove this (people making businesses building PCs) so it may be that you just need enough scale to make it worth it (buying things in bulk, being able to re-use things like setup guides, and so on)
999$ for 8gb gpu really never buy this crap in 2025 8gb is too weak for 1080p gaming in 2025! for just 200$ mb +cpu... i say so on buget of 999$ i build a am5 with a rx 16gb gpu without windows because iam linux user :D oh i see okay its for profit buildings :D the 999$ with the 16gb gpu and am5 you can then sell for 1500-2000 :D jawa my scanadvisor goes on at the site and i dont think i wanna ever use it as anyone who lifes in european as a arch linux user :D really 3$ in hour...i know homeless people how have more in a hour ...
im having a little trouble understanding your comment but I'll give it my best! 1 - if you spend $1000 on parts then yeah, you could definitely build a much better machine! (but you would have to sell it for a lot more to make a profit, like $1300 or $1500) 2 - yeah I made very little money on this if you consider the hours 🤣 but that wasn't really the point! I was really just trying out this hobby, and I'm definitely glad I did as I learned a lot and I know I could make more in the future with what I learned 3 - yeah it's sad that Jawa is US only but it's very hard to ship overseas so I do understand that completely
@@danovation hard where? this days i wait for a build from canada it needs till today 8 days today at 1am it comes to frankfurt germany so its in 2-3 days at my home its not hard it costs only much shipment (: but in this case its okay because i save here 300$ and pay 50$ for shipment so i am 250$ (245ish€ less then EU for a pc for a friend.. was it worth? i hope so if its working at end yes! if not i repair it at my own. if not i scrap it and sell the parts and use the money i get for his pc :D
There's also a big difference working a job and doing something you love. They aren't interchangeable which is a plus on the pc making side
yeah for sure

goated vid! can't wait till u get to 20k
thanks so much! I really appreciate the support!
Great buyer guide. Brings to mind the question if it's better to sell locally but with a smaller market. Nice video.
Thanks!

Very cool video !
I was surprised by the low amount of views, keep up the good work !
Thank you so much!
Thanks!! I will also start this journey in a few months. This video was very helpful! 🎉🙏
Really informative video. I hope future sales and profits are better for you in the current year.
thanks so much! I think they definitely will be better now that I know more of what I'm doing, as I'll work a lot faster
Very good side hustle

Just renectly bought a pc for 50$ cuz he said it overheated. Fixed it and sold it for 550$
Yeah that definitely helps with the time problem, though I feel like those are harder to find…
How do you go about finding them? Just FB marketplace?
Well made video! look forward to more
Thank you! I look forward to making more!
5k subs and 5k views is criminal, subbed
thanks, I appreciate the encouragement!
This is such a great guide for rookies like me who want to start flipping. Keep up the good work! 👍

Yeah that seems fine, if it works it works!
(of course I've never actually had that mount it was just a picture off Google)

I used that case. It was good, but i didn't care for the plastic windows.
Yeah I’m not gonna lie I didn’t realize it was plastic when I ordered it
I might use it again for a super budget build as I don’t think anything else beats it on price, but for a $1000 build I’d look for a nicer one
Honestly just use windows pro and use the login to domain option
That is a good point, cause then you could set it up from another computer too, right?
Maybe that's why a lot of PCs I saw on Jawa had Windows Pro, because it doesn't really add much for the buyer but it might be helpful for the sellers...
@danovation you could use remote desktop on it
Honestly I just put a username and no password.
User will pop directly on the desktop and will put a password if he wants too.
@ I actually did not think of that, might have to do it in future!
Very good video but usually, should never be bought used always new
Hello, I just wanted to ask how do you buy the windows activation key since the only legal way is really expensive?
Oh I didn’t think third party resellers were illegal, though it is a bit suspicious that they are so cheap…

Most people will try for a few pcs then give up, it’s not great money considering the time input

You can avoid putting a password by using pressing enter.
That would probably be an even better experience for the customer, thanks for the tip!
Noob tip: don’t accept shipping from a really good deal.
Yeah I know that now ☹️
just bought a r5 2600 mobo ram combo for under 100$ and an rx 580 for 50$ waiting for my case to arrive, thinking of selling it for 450-500$
That’s amazing, especially for a budget build (those can be a lot harder to make money off of)
@@danovation I agree but im making huge profit from this one
@ yeah exactly! great job man!
Lesson learned here don't sell on greedy platforms' like jawa lol... stick to fb mp
I mean they have to cover costs so I do understand, BUT if you can sell on FB marketplace or especially do payment in person, you _will_ make WAY more
