Just a note on the terra vise. I picked one up at Cabela’s before watching your review. Afterwards, I planned to return it because I was having the same issue with the vise tightening after three rotations. I had a bunch of flies I wanted to tie for a trip, so I figured I would spin them up and bring the vise back the next day. After playing around a bit (the included instructions were not great) I discovered that getting the vise to rotate was just a matter of process. You have set the disc closest to the jaws so it is just far enough away to allow the jaws to rotate, then you tighten the smaller disc (the one with the handle) INTO the first one until it’s tight. Then the vise rotated freely and very smoothly. So for those of you considering the Terra vise, it does work well as a rotary vise.
Hi Matt. These vises are not for me,but we are starting Friday night at the bench again.Going to have a fly tying competition. One for the newbie tiers, and one for the veterians tiers. One of these vises would be a good prize for the newbie tiers. #vise. Ken and Linda
Thanks for the honest review Matt. This is so much more than a how to fly tying channel, please keep up the fantastic work. Thanks for giving back to the community.
Nice to see affordable options and you did a real in depth review of each model. The biggest barrier to entry in fly tying is the price and this video just changed that.
Thanks for the honest reviews Matt. We can tell it isn't easy for you to do those negative reviews but that makes them all the more credible IMHO. Seems like the quality of the stuff Cabelas is selling is heading downwards lately. Have a great week!
Thanks Garrett! And yeah, you may be right. I've gotten plenty of quality products from Cabela's and Bass Pro but I was definitely disappointed in this one.
Thanks Matt you're amazing all these people start channels to make money and it's all you do is give the money away thank you thank you thank you #Vise
Hi Matt. Once again, nice review. Your timing is unbelievable. Looking again for a #Vise but this one is for my son. He uses the one I got for my grandson. My grandson just told me he can't ty because dad's using it. Wish me luck
Ha! That's funny Nich! I tell you what... I've got an extra kit I can send for your son or grandson if you'd like. If I mail it to you can you get it to them?
You're welcome Hardy; I appreciate you saying that. I usually hesitate to leave a bad review but if it ends up helping anyone out, it is probably worth it.
Great review Matt, love to see and hear about new people tying It's a great feeling when you catch fish on a fly that you tied your self Thanks for all you do
Good evening Matt. Thank you for another great review. Been looking at getting my nephew into tying and picking up a travel vice for myself. Hope you have a good evening my friend. #vice
Thank you Karl! That would be great if you could get someone in the next generation into tying. :-) And PS: check your spelling... it's vise with an s or else the comment picker won't see this one. :-)
Thank you for the honest reviews! I was between the Terra vise and the sportsmans Colorado angler vise.. went with sportsmans for a few extra bucks and it's been worth it.
It sounds like you made the right call Pierce! I've played around with that rotary vise and it's actually a solid tool. J. Stockard sells the same thing, I think they call it their EZ Rotary. It might be time for me to do another review on this style vise. Thanks for the note. :-)
I’m glad you reviewed the Terra Rotary Vice! That is the vice that I actually use and I was upset when I found out how it worked! But….i was able to find out a way to make it work for me and now it works really well as a rotatary vice! I just take a very strong super glue or epoxy and coat the thread on the main shaft where the tensioning nut is and make sure the tensioning nut is tightened to your desired tension. Then let the tensioning nut and lever/handle nut cure to the main shaft and it all becomes one unit. If you have the tension set right when it cures then it works wonderfully! Just don’t let the glue get in the main housing! Haha if you haven’t thrown it away or sent it back yet you should try it just to see how it works👍🏼
Outstanding tips! I will give it a shot. I’m usually too lazy to send anything back so if I can make it work, I could do a how-to video for anyone else out there who has the same problem. Thank you for this!
Great review as always. I started with a Thompson A 45 years ago at a fly tying class in the military in Oregon. I picked up a Supreme about ten years ago when teaching the grandkids. Still use it today as my main vise. I also have a Terra Micro Vise I use when traveling even if not going fishing. I load the box with hooks and materials and it is something to pass the time. I've tried rotaries and haven't been impressed, too old school I guess and not a production tyer plus being a lefty some are not the best. I like your tying videos too. The first fly we were taught was the Royal Coachman so I just watched your video. Like the history. I'm going to tie some up. For those not watching those be sure to check them out. Now my cousin wants to learn so I'm sending her some of your videos so she can start off cheap to see if she really likes it. Keep up the great videos.
Thank you Bill; this is such a great comment to receive! And getting notes like this encourages me to keep tying and making videos. I know what you mean being a lefty. A lot of vises aren't really geared for you. Thanks again for your note and good luck to your cousin. I hope she takes to it!
Good information Matt! You're doing a great job of helping new tyers and the fly tying community in general. I've never had a Supreme but I would probably pick that one just to mess around with the different jaws! $20 worth of fun!
That's actually a good idea Daryl! I've never even pulled it apart to mess with the other jaws. Now you've given me something to do on the next night I'm not making a video. :-)
The Maxcatch is the bomb! Thanks to Matt I picked this one up, and 43 dollars was very well spent. My dad (a mechanical engineer) was very impressed with the overall quality of aluminum, and pretty decent machining. The clamp is great, great holding power, and pretty easy use. Only con for the price is a little tiny wobble.
Thanks Nolan; I appreciate the feedback! The engineering some of these overseas companies can pull off really is impressive sometimes. As for the little wobble on the Maxcatch, I have one myself, have given two away and have one more to give out so I've actually had four in my hands. I only noticed the wobble in one of them. Now they do come with two sizes of rubber O-rings but I've never explored where you might put them or really where they may be needed.
Matt, I just got a Supreme vise today, and so far, so good! With the angled jaws, I'm going to keep the head flat horizontal. I've already tied some bucktails, and it's so much easier to tie materials to the underside of the hook. Thanks for the honest, budget friendly reviews, and not telling your viewers that we need to buy a $$ rotary vise!
You got it, and thank you for this great comment! My first vise was a Double-A from a kit in the 1980s. My next one was the Supreme, probably in the early 90s. And I still have that one! So my advice is to tie on it for as long as you enjoy it. Eventually you may want to upgrade, but plenty of people tie their whole lives on these things.
I'm just getting In to this world of fly-fishing. Been buying gear and supper excited to do this my little boy. We have been watching your videos. You explain and demonstrate perfectly for some one as new as me. So much to learn. Thanks for all your videos. BIG HELP! Keep safe!
Wow didn't expect a reply. Thanks and we will be watching. I was wondering if you have done a video on what kind of quality of thread and feathers to buy? And where to buy them from? I did see the video on weight and size. Great video! Still learning lingo.
I've been using a rotary 'Dan Vice' for many years and been very satisfied with it. It is very adjustable and handles every hook size I tie with. I think it is about $ 70.
Thanks Jim! After playing with these two duds I thought about just not reviewing them. But then I thought it might save somebody out there from making a bad purchase. Who knows... but I was definitely disappointed with the one I got from Cabela's.
#vise Great review Matt. My $20 vise I bought in the 80's has the exact 3 heads like the Supreme. Mine's a pedestal. I was outside about 20 minutes ago and saw a beautiful grey fox, PRIMO fur!🐺 Maybe a good omen 🤓 Good luck all ☘ Thanks Matt
Oh man, I would love to see a nice grey fox in the wild. We have plenty of red foxes down here but I usually only see them after they have succumbed to a traffic accident.
@@SavageFlies yeah I've only seen a few grey fox over the years. Lots of red ones though. Seen lots of cool things involving red fox and other wildlife. Marty Stouffer's Wild America stuff :o)
Darrell- I just did the drawing and congrats; you won the Maxcatch Vise. Send me an email with your address and I'll get it mailed ASAP. matt@savageflies.com
#vise great review, I'm surprised you didn't have the crown vise; the price is right in that wheelhouse. Thanks for everything you do for the tying community👍👍👍
Appreciate it Thomas! I almost did do the Crown again, but I already repeated two and thought doing "6 vises for under $50" might have been too much. I might just review the Crown separately as I do still kind of like that one.
Thanks for the advice # Vice , I’m a new to fly tying bought a vice and tools for my son Inlaw and tried it really like doing it’s very satisfying to create a fly that a nice trout will take woolly buggers are a favorite I actually caught a 2lb bass on my woolly bugger I tied with his tools.
Absolutely Mark; that's what it's all about! PS though, please edit this to put #Vise, with an s and no space. Otherwise the random comment picker won't see this one. :-)
Thanks Mike! And PS- I didn't make it out to the post office Saturday. After getting my driveway shoveled (4+ inches of snow), it was after noon and they were closed. Your book will go out Monday morning. :-)
Thank you Matt for your honest review of these vises. As always a pleasure to watch your posts !! Also thank you for you generosity and giving back to all of us who enjoy your channel . Have a great week to everyone! #Vise
Ha! Well thanks Deake. Just drop me an email if you see any you're considering and if I know anything about it I'll be happy to share my experiences. matt@savageflies.com
Great run down, Matt. Especially given most people review the pricey vises, which is nice but not necessarily accessible for everyone. I enjoy using a $50ish crown rotating vise, though the jaws don’t really work for small (18 or smaller) hooks. I recommend that style along with the ones you’ve highlighted. Enjoy the channel! #vise
Thanks Dave, and yes, I love the Crown! I almost included it in this batch but may review it separately. And I agree, down to a #14 or 16, that thing does great. Try to put an 18 or 20 in it and you might end up launching hooks across the room. :-)
I have sent some flying! I have a midge fly adapter that just goes into the jaws of the vise. Works fine, not ideal, but for about $4 it does the trick.
Great review as always. I have recently upgraded my vice to a Peak Rotary pedestal. It’s great. Love your honest feedback. Good luck to all the entrants. I hope they fall in love with fly tying and can upgrade their current vice or get their first one from you. Have a great week Matt.
Thank you Richard; I appreciate kind and sincere comments like this. I too usually hope my giveaways go to someone who really needs it, or puts it to good use. Anything we can do to get new tiers interested in our sport is a good thing. :-)
Thanks as always Matt! I started on one more basic than the supreme and then got a supreme vice that I used for about 20 years before getting a Peak rotary vice. Keep the videos coming love watching!
I always enjoy your honest reviews. I am still confused when it comes to the best vise for me the novice to this sport. #Vise you never cease to amaze me with your knowledge and generosity. God Bless!
Thanks for the information on those five vises. Now I can figure out what one I will pick up for a extra vise for my wife. Thank you again for the opportunity to learn more about vises. #vise
@@SavageFlies shes a photographer n she's would love a vice to photograph my flies. She tried to tie once but was not really into it. Oh well that's the breaks. Lol 😆 🤣 😂
I always enjoy your reviews. Always honest and not brand biased. I just bought a Regal Vise copy called a Crown Vise from Amazon for 49.99. I'm very happy with it for a stationary vise. Might be an idea for a future review as it seems to be quite common now on Amazon and at various fly shops on the internet.
Thanks Troy and that's definitely a solid option. In fact, it made an appearance in my 5 Vises Under $100. ruclips.net/video/ceXoNDKtYdg/видео.html I actually may do a separate review of that one. :-)
Nice review. I was looking for an inexpensive #vise to get my grandsons involved in tying. The Riverruns catches my eye, and the Maxcatch is a close second. I’ve never used the Terra vise, but I did buy their bobbin cradle for one of my vises. Simple, but works. I agree with you on the rotary function of the Terra. If it did that to me, I definitely wouldn’t endorse it.
Thanks Will; I appreciate you seconding my opinion. :-) As for the Riverruns... it's solid. That would be a great intro for your grandsons. And if you get to spend time with them tying, that's worth far more than the money. :-)
Thanks for your review like always they are great I have been watching you since I started tying in November thanks for all your help at 66 I have learned a lot from you you are a true teacher have a great day #vise
Great review Matt, my first vise was a AA supreme I got from Jans netcrsft and I stripped the same screw you spoke of. I have the danvise now I like it real well, I'd love to have a travel vise too #vise
I’m really happy that you are reviewing inexpensive vises as possible choices for new tyers. I’ve seen some recent video and a print reviews that say new tyers should start out buying a lifetime vise which I think could be a costly choice. I wish everyone would love tying, but that is just a wish. With a good quality, inexpensive vise, a new tyer can find out if he or she likes tying, can afford more materials on the $ saved, & gain enough experience to find out what types of flies they want or need to tie & what features they want in a lifetime vise before deciding if they want continue tying. Future video idea: Some kind of fly tying spelling contest with a wacky but useful prize featuring vise vs. vice, tier vs. tyer, aftershaft vs. filo plume, etc. ;-)
This is a great comment Bob and I agree 100%. I might mention this in my next vise review. I think there is absolutely nothing wrong with starting with an economy vise. If you find you like the sport you'll likely want to upgrade in a couple of years anyway, and now you'll have a backup vise or one you can donate to a kid or another new tier. And worse case scenario, if you find you don't really care for tying, you're not out that much. :-)
Matt, thanks for the review and comparison of the maxcatch and river runs #vise I have been leaning towards the maxcatch. Now after your video, the river runs wins. You can use the bag as a dust cover when mounted on the bench.
Actually that's a great idea! I think the Maxcatch might *look* a little cooler with the shiny aluminum and green color, but for functionality, I probably like the Riverruns just a bit better. Their knobs for adjusting the post and barrel are a little bigger and easier to turn by hand. And yeah, the bag is cool too. :-)
Thank you for this feedback. Just looking at the pictures online I was thinking it could really have been a decent vise. But at least the one I got didn't turn out to be.
Hey Matt! Honest as always with the review, good stuff. It's really a shame about the Terra vise because it's a really nice looking vise for the money but like the old saying goes " looks aren't everything".
Yep, I'm wondering if I should give it another chance and return this one for a replacement. Maybe if I did and the second one had the same issue, we'd have our answer. But it is possible I just got a lemon.
Nice video Matt, as always. Thank you for your honesty. I know giving a less than stellar review on products can be difficult. Your reasons are valid. Keep up the good work. #Vise
Thank you Charlie! This kind of feedback means a lot because you're right, I don't like leaving a bad review on anything. But if it ends up helping another tier out there, than it's worth it.
My #vice is angling! Really enjoy your channel and content I like how you’re obviously a well-versed Angler. Find a lot of great information in your uploads they’ve helped me tremendously. Stoked to have found the non-yuppie fly tying channel 😎🤙
Hahaha! Dude, I work for the government and wear a bowtie to work every day! But yeah, I drive an F-150 and hunt and fish. :-) I appreciate the note my friend. And PS: check your spelling. It's vise with an s or else the comment picker won't find it!
I bought the first vise in this list almost a year ago bassed on ur review from before and I love it .... I almost bought the maxcatch but it was a little more and i couldnt get it shipped to Canada thanks
Matt, thank you for your great reviews. I am curious why you do not mention the hook sizes these vises can take? I understand the answer to the hook size might be "it depends". I think hook size will help folks decide what to get. Keep up these great reviews.
#vise shame the cabelas vise messed up pretty cool looking for 50.00. I like your idea of having a light portable vise as travel vise. I'm looking at a few but they cost more.
Thanks Kevin! I think both are pretty good choices, with the Riverruns having a slight edge. The bag is nice, but really it's the adjusting knobs are a bit bigger and easier to work with your hands.
Good review on these inexpensive vises. I remember having the same problem with the Terra vise tightening up. One that you missed, and I think might warrant a review, is the FV2118 sold by Upstream Essentials. It's a Regal style vise that sells for about $40.00
Thank you! I can't find the one you're talking about but if it is what I think it is, it's also called the Crown. If so, I am planning another review of that one soon. This guy: amzn.to/34lug3e
Nice review. I need to buy a vice to aid in dubbing loops and a stationary table-mounted vice is an answer. Thanks for your honest opinion in all of your reviews. #Vice
Great review! I started with a Thompson A 30+ years ago. I also love my peak rotary but, the supreme is great to have in the bag on the road. Thanks for the good info!! #vise
Well welcome to the community George! You're going to love it. PS: edit this and take out the space between the # and vise or else the comment picker won't see it. :-)
Hey Matt! solid reviews and normation as usual. Nice to see the Supreme still getting the thumbs up. I was looking at both the Terra and MaxCatch vises a while back but couldnt decide. Thanks for the review. Now I know which one to avoid. take care. #vise
I appreciate it Rob! The Maxcatch isn't perfect, but it's definitely a decent option and there aren't many that cost less that perform better. Good luck in the drawing!
12/17/23 Hey Matt just Subscribed to your channel I’ve never tied anything before so I’m gonna to dive into a new hobby I’m an avid fisherman I’ve never fly fished before. Been fresh water for years and within the last five years I’ve been saltwater fishing mostly ground fishing cod/ haddock ect. My last trip out one of the mates a young lady was trying teaser’s and I brought 3 for $10 good deal I think but it intrigued me and think I’m going to go for it so much appreciate this advice/ video and going to explore more of your videos at 60 years old I need a hobby to keep me in my fishing room I built lol. Sorry for the long comment but as you know starting out don’t want to be too cheap but no need for top of the line so thanks again I’m glad I found your channel any advice I’m open to have a Merry Christmas and great new year. PS I’m not planning on fly fishing 😂
You're welcome Robert! And while I don't tie a ton on my Maxcatch, it's always been pretty easy to work on. PS: check your spelling and change it to #vise. :-)
#vise I think I could really use the Maxcatch or Riverruns vise as a travel vise, they look like solid vises for the price. I really appreciate your honest opinion of the products you review.
Well thank you Nina. Either of those are perfect travel vises, partly because they are so light, but also because the C-clamp is big enough to fit on almost any hotel coffee table or campground picnic table.
Just a note on the terra vise. I picked one up at Cabela’s before watching your review. Thanks for being up front on the reviews. If I get lucky on the draw, I plan to award the #vise to a Veteran in my local program for PHWFF.
That's outstanding Darrell! And good luck my friend!
Darrell- I just did the drawing and congrats; you won the Maxcatch Vise. Send me an email with your address and I'll get it mailed ASAP. matt@savageflies.com
Darrell- I'd like to head out to the post office tomorrow. Please send me your mailing address and I can drop off the vise. matt@savageflies.com
Another helpful post and s well organized review. If I win, I'll have to retire my #vise grips!
Ha! I'm sure you're not the only one out there tying on vise grips. :-)
Nice review Matt. Good luck 🍀 to all that entered.
Thanks Mike! And PS- I didn't make it out to the post office Saturday. After getting my driveway shoveled (4+ inches of snow), it was after noon and they were closed. Your book will go out Monday morning. :-)
Hello, Matt!!
Always appreciate your honest reviews. Keep up the great work, my friend.
Always a fan.
Well thank you Kyle! I always appreciate you watching my friend. :-)
Hi Matt . Your channel is one of the best ones out here , and just gets better & better with your honest reviews 👍#vise
I appreciate that John! And as always, thanks for your support. Good luck! :-)
Thank you Matt for your honest review of these vises. As always a pleasure to watch your posts !! Also thank you for you generosity and giving back to all of us who enjoy your channel . Have a great week to everyone! #Vise
Thank you Mike; I appreciate the kind words! And good luck to you. :-)
Well know you've done it Matt. I've been researching for my first vise purchase and now I have more to consider. Thanks for your insight. #vise
Ha! Well thanks Deake. Just drop me an email if you see any you're considering and if I know anything about it I'll be happy to share my experiences. matt@savageflies.com
Excellent review of the vises Matt. Like that you call them as you see them. I hope some newbie to fly tying wins one of these. Take care Matt.
I appreciate it John and I agree. I always like to give back to someone just getting into the sport. :-)
Thanks Steve! I appreciate the feedback my friend. :-)
I always enjoy your honest reviews. I am still confused when it comes to the best vise for me the novice to this sport. #Vise you never cease to amaze me with your knowledge and generosity. God Bless!
Well thank you Sam; I really appreciate the kind words! And good luck to you my friend. :-)
I still have my first vise and the Supreme with 3 jaws I have tied a plethora of flies over the years; it won't let you down. #vise
Always enjoy your reviews Matt. Thanks #vise
Appreciate it Alex! Good luck my friend. :-)
Thanks for the information on those five vises. Now I can figure out what one I will pick up for a extra vise for my wife. Thank you again for the opportunity to learn more about vises. #vise
Oh you're a lucky man Robert if you can get your wife into tying! And good luck to you. :-)
@@SavageFlies shes a photographer n she's would love a vice to photograph my flies. She tried to tie once but was not really into it. Oh well that's the breaks. Lol 😆 🤣 😂
Great reviews, Matt. A couple of those vises look like they would be good for beginners or as a travel vise. Thanks for all you do for our sport.
Yes indeed Todd. The last two are perfect for traveling. Only about 10 ounces, and they're both really stable when clamped to a bench or table.
#vise. I've just started tying and watched the reviews on different vises. I found them very informative. Good job
Weather is too cold for fishing for me. I wanna learn how to tie flys for trout fishing. #vise
It's a great winter hobby! Good luck to you. :-)
Thanks for your review like always they are great I have been watching you since I started tying in November thanks for all your help at 66 I have learned a lot from you you are a true teacher have a great day #vise
Well thank you Mike; I appreciate these kind words. Good luck to you my friend!
Great review Matt, my first vise was a AA supreme I got from Jans netcrsft and I stripped the same screw you spoke of. I have the danvise now I like it real well, I'd love to have a travel vise too #vise
Ahhh... so it's not just me! Thanks for the note Michael, and good luck my friend!
Thanks for the reviews Matt. I've recently been thinking about a travel/emergency vise.
#vise
Matt, thanks for the review and comparison of the maxcatch and river runs #vise I have been leaning towards the maxcatch. Now after your video, the river runs wins. You can use the bag as a dust cover when mounted on the bench.
Actually that's a great idea! I think the Maxcatch might *look* a little cooler with the shiny aluminum and green color, but for functionality, I probably like the Riverruns just a bit better. Their knobs for adjusting the post and barrel are a little bigger and easier to turn by hand. And yeah, the bag is cool too. :-)
Excellent review. Very helpful as I was recently looking at the Maxcatch on Amazon
Great timing! I just took a tying class and I’m ready to get my own setup! Need a good #Vise ! Thanks for the great content!
That's great to hear! And good luck to you my friend. :-)
@@SavageFlies thanks!
#vise. Another great video! Was looking at the Terra! No more!!! Thanks Matt
You bet Joseph! And yeah, lots of better options than that one. :-) Good luck my friend!
I agree with your review of the YZD vise that is the one I have currently and I had to use pliers to tighten the screws. #VISE
Great review Matt. Looking for a beginner vise. Thanks for the tips.
Thanks James! I appreciate you watching my friend. :-)
#VISE always appreciate your review videos. Saves all of us the headaches.
Really well done review Matt I really can’t get enough of this channel and always enjoy your honesty when giving back to the community #vise
Wow, thanks Ross; I appreciate the kind words! And good luck to you my friend. :-)
I bought the first vise in this list almost a year ago bassed on ur review from before and I love it .... I almost bought the maxcatch but it was a little more and i couldnt get it shipped to Canada thanks
Yeah, I know how expensive shipping to Canada can be! But I'm glad the Supreme is still working out for you. :-)
Always enjoy brother
And I appreciate you watching!
Matt, thank you for your great reviews. I am curious why you do not mention the hook sizes these vises can take? I understand the answer to the hook size might be "it depends". I think hook size will help folks decide what to get. Keep up these great reviews.
Thanks for clarifying the pros and cons of each of those -this was very helpful. #vice
You bet Timothy! PS: check your spelling. It's vise with an s. :-)
@@SavageFlies #vise
I need a rotary, thanks!
Thank you Matt for the review.
You're most welcome! I appreciate you watching. :-)
#vise shame the cabelas vise messed up pretty cool looking for 50.00. I like your idea of having a light portable vise as travel vise. I'm looking at a few but they cost more.
Thanks Richard, and I was pretty bummed that vise didn't perform as good as it looked. It really is sharp!
Great review Matt thanks again for all the help you provide to the fly tying community. #vise
You're welcome William! Thanks for watching my friend. :-)
I have one but not any shape a rotary I certainly could one the last two mentioned
I’m new to tying and never thought about a travel vise. Also I’m trying to get my son into tying flies so this sounds like a great gift idea. #vise
Definitely is David! And good luck to you my friend. :-)
Thanks for adding the RiverRun to the review Matt. I’ve actually been considering that one or the Maxcatch as my next #Vise
Thanks Kevin! I think both are pretty good choices, with the Riverruns having a slight edge. The bag is nice, but really it's the adjusting knobs are a bit bigger and easier to work with your hands.
Matt. This is steve. I find all your vids fascinating. Thanks. #Vise
Thanks Steve! I'll be doing the drawing later this evening. Good luck!
On my supream, I used blue loctite on all the small hardware. They tend to undo them selves.
Great tip John! Thanks for the note my friend. :-)
Great advice Matt! I have always like your product review videos so keep them posted up. #vise
Thank you David! I appreciate the note my friend. :-)
Thanks for putting out another great video. There is so much to learn about in the fly-tying world. #Vise
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for the note and good luck to you!
Great review Matt!! #vise
Thanks Mike! Good luck my friend. :-)
Nice review. I need to buy a vice to aid in dubbing loops and a stationary table-mounted vice is an answer. Thanks for your honest opinion in all of your reviews. #Vice
You're welcome Matthew; I appreciate the kind words! And PS, edit this from #vice to #vise or else the comment picker won't see this one!
Hey Thanks Matt
Your reviews are always appreciated #vise
Thanks Mike! I appreciate the kind words. And good luck to you. :-)
Great review! I started with a Thompson A 30+ years ago. I also love my peak rotary but, the supreme is great to have in the bag on the road. Thanks for the good info!! #vise
Yes indeed Jimmy! Thanks for watching and good luck my friend. :-)
#vise , never tied a fly but I’m going to start , glad I came across your videos
Very nice video very very informative nice that you showed all those different vices makes picking one so much more easy #vise
Thanks Lora! Good luck my friend. :-)
My first vise was a pair of needle nose vise grips mounted to a board. Any of the would have been a welcome upgrade. #vise
Ha! Needle nose vise grips come in handy for lots of things! Good luck to you Kento. :-)
Thanks very much. Helped me in thinking about a new #vise
You bet my friend! Good luck. :-)
great review Matt 👍
Appreciate it Kyle!
Thanks for another great video Matt. I was looking at picking up the maxcatch #vise
You're welcome Robert! And while I don't tie a ton on my Maxcatch, it's always been pretty easy to work on. PS: check your spelling and change it to #vise. :-)
Love honest reviews. Keep ‘‘em coming. #Vise
Nice review of entry vices. I like my Griffin entry vice but I could use a good travel model. #vice
Another great review Matt! I really liked the maxcatch and following your reviews I actually bought the peak and the maxcatch :) and I love them #vise
Thank you Felipe; that's great to hear! And good luck to you my friend. :-)
Thanks again for the review Matt... Great Job!! #vise
I appreciate it Richard! And good luck to you.
This is an extremely honest and informative review. I'm looking forward to more in the future. Keep up the great work. #Vise
Well thank you Art! And good luck to you my friend. :-)
