I Have Autism I Was Diagnosed With Autism At Age 14 I'm 27 Years Old Now Iv'e Been Living Interdependently On My Own For 3 Years So Far I'm So Proud Of Christopher Eccleston For Standing Up For Autistic Rights & Autism People I Would Like More Celebrities To Stand Up For Autism People I Think That Christopher Eccleston Is A Great Actor Iv'e Never Meet Him Iv'e Been Waiting 27 Years To Meet Him I Hope To Meet Him When The Pandemic Ends
I WILL WATCH HIM IN LITERALLY ANYTHING! He is FANTASTIC! 😍 Also had a crush on him since 2000! I'd love to meet Christopher and just give him an almighty hug
I loved the A-Word. By far one of my favourite shows. Maurice is a great character. At the end of Series 2, I almost cried seeing what happened to Maurice. Great acting. Love Christopher Eccleston and whatever he does.
I just had an assessment under the NHS, I fell into the autistic spectrum on the tick box questionairres but the psychologist said I wasnt on the spectrum because I was good verbally and maintained eye contact. There is a lot of talk about autistic children but not about adults and especially aging adults. I wanted a diagnosis because people are always getting angry with me and I get bullied and I am scared that I will be more vulnerable to this if I ended up in a care home. Neurologically typical people appear to have no tolerance or understanding of difference. I was prompted to write this because watching these two men, they are both as communicative as I am but say they are on the spectrum.
Angelicatoo A psychologist told my 17 year old he didn't have Asperger's, 14 years after being diagnosed. The following year, another said he does. Get a second opinion.
And NOT EVERY Psychologist is able to diagnose. In Germany you have to go to a specialist (because Asperger is telly hard to diagnose) and then you make some tests and interviews. Itcan take 2 - 3 Days. Then you drive home, wait and after a few day you get a call and a letter.
I bet 98% of Psychologist CAN'T diagnose Asperger right. Because they are simply not be able to do it. My Therapist didn't get it in nearly 8 years of therapy.
As a person with autism, it's REALLY weird. For example: I'll say something that sounds TOTALLY inoffensive, but then everyone's mad at me, and I'm just here like "What?" Emotions are weird.
Any of you guys see THE OTHERS, with Nicole Kidman? He has a small role, but trust me when I say it's one of the most haunting performances of his life.
Doblestorm . The first time I was open about being autistic and on the spectrum was when I met Christopher Eccleston at London comic con last month it was the best thing I ever did and I was scared and nervous and me saying I was on the spectrum was a big fear I had because I was worried about the reaction.not his reaction I knew he would be alright because Of theses interviews he done with Gerald and because his on the A word .i was worried that the person behind me was going to say you don’t look it or think that I was making it up just because it was him but that didn’t happen . Sometimes the things your scared of doing turn out to be the most amazing thing ever 😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁
The A word got alot right, but one of the things it didn't need in the show was the sex scenes, so many kids could have whatched this show and understand autism better, yet they put unnecessary scenes like that in
Turning on is fun, nausea time is the play is this cell phone what I know now Peyton movie call you when I am if so is there a man is in the air on I don’t know I think I finally want me fine pier
*You know, I don't see autism in that guy whatsoever.* While I appreciate that autism exists as a diverse spectrum, my instinct is that in time - 20 years, 50 years, 100 years whatever, research will prove that what is diagnosed as 'Autistic spectrum' now, will be seen as many distinct conditions, with their own particular identifying signs & traits, but more importantly, unique treatments and results. Id say we are just at the very infancy of understanding myriad, complex conditions that are currently pigeon-holed as 'autistic spectrum'.
Christopher seems like a terrific bloke. I'd watch him in anything.
Zanderfist fantastic, christopher reference
Zanderfist he was one of the doctors in doctor who
Cameron Clee Something he has explained how awful he feels about now. This doesn’t make him less of a nice person, it makes him more.
Cameron Clee we all make mistakes in life as long as you learn from mistakes and become a better person is what earn people's respect
You are quite right Chris is just a lovely man. He is not only a great actor but also a nice chap to his fellow artists and to the crew.
I love Chris. He can play someone who's open or closed. He can play himself or his polar opposite. Amazing actor
FANTASTIC actor
I could listen to these 2 talk all day. What an amazing and inspiring interview .
FANTASTIC interview
This is more like listening in to a natural conversation than an interview and much better for it.

One allistic actor's half-informed take isn't education. This is so far from educational.

Chris was Fantastic as the 9th Doctor Who ❤
I haven't watched this show, but it is refreshing to watch an interview about autism where masking isn't occurring.
I'm on the spectrum. Thank you Chris for talking about Autism. And it was great to meet you in September!
He's got it: YOU HAVE TO CHANGE.
Pls, Mr. Eccleston, tell this to my Mom, my Sister and my Boyfriend. 😢
Great interview Gerard, well done mate :)

Angelicatoo contains national autism charity helpline every one with autism is different need advice
Angelicatoo A psychologist told my 17 year old he didn't have Asperger's, 14 years after being diagnosed. The following year, another said he does. Get a second opinion.
It's because female Autism is kinda different from the male form...
I am a woman too and we are different. I have LEARNED eye contact.

Handsome man.
I can say, as a person with asperges this is accurate
As a person with autism, it's REALLY weird. For example: I'll say something that sounds TOTALLY inoffensive, but then everyone's mad at me, and I'm just here like "What?"
Emotions are weird.

My favorite song playing in the background
I love Eccleston :D
This is wonderful
Christopher eccleston has made many films dramas etc and never had the respect and recognition he so deserves.
I wish one day I can be open about my autism.
Doblestorm . Excellent actor !😀
My Doctor.
Lovely interview! Is it possible to get a link to the first interview from 2 years ago?
It's that 9th doctor
Say the a word
Wait so did he made peace with bbc? Omg he didnt do that before 50th anniversary
I believe he's previously said he would've come back for the 50th but the script for the 9th wasn't strong enough to justify it
he looks like my late uncle
The A word got alot right, but one of the things it didn't need in the show was the sex scenes, so many kids could have whatched this show and understand autism better, yet they put unnecessary scenes like that in
I wish there was subtitle cause I don’t really understand their accent and it’s not then it’s me cause I’m not used to it
