The idea is that when you have a problem that requires medication and you want to stop the medication, then the question is "what are the other options?" And the way that you go through that, that work through that question, is understanding what those options are - as well as the consequences. Immediate, sharp, abrupt stopping all PPI medication can sometimes have a rebound affect. And we don't want that. So the idea is that we want to know what the consequences are for each behavior that we do and make sure we come to the best solution.
