    I'll stick with my Lanshan; lighter, double walled, smaller pack size, has end guys and I got mine for £100 delivered. I'd be interested if you thoughts change will more time out and about.
    I do like some of the Hillridge features though (e.g. how tent attaches to pegs/ is adjusted) and am a big fan of my OneTigris Kompound hammock.

      £100 is an absolute bargain!!!. Absolutely mate each to their own 👍 I like the lanshan too but just felt this was better (IMO). Yes I agree ...... I'll use this tent a lot and I'll report back with my feelings about it. So far I'm really impressed. Used it a few times but need to fully test in prolonged heavy rain and wind too. My lanshan didn't do well in heavy rain at all. Thanks for watching much appreciated and for your comments 👍 ATB Simon

    This looks like a fantastic option! I’ve been looking at this tent for a while but haven’t pulled the trigger, and it’s been hard to find reviews in English. Compared to the Lanshan Pro, it’s a little heavier isn’t it? But this one comes seam sealed and taped which is a bonus and I like that a lot. Love the colour and the quality looks great! I’d love to hear your thoughts on it after using it in the rain, and also about its performance to do with air flow and condensation. Great review, thanks for taking the time to share it.

      Hi mate thanks for watching and taking the time to comment. It's a great shelter I'm well impressed with it. We have used it in the rain and it was fine (zero ingress) that being said it wasn't prolonged heavy rain so I will test it in that when I can. I'd imagine it will be no issue as double stitched, seam sealed and taped with YKK zips. It's 3 season single skinned so has its limitations but for the price....WOW! Also compared to the HB Soulo at 10 x the price.... its a serious bit of kit. Thanks again ATB Simon

    Its a summer tent. Points of concern are; the bath tub looks unable to keep its form and appears to sag very low, this would potentially be a disaster if caught in bad weather. No ability to pull out those big end panels. You didnt clarify: Does it come with a footprint, is the bathtub made from same material as the outer skin? Is the skin silicon coated? Does it come with any options for an additional 3 season inner skin like the Lanshan ?Are the tension lines reflective, what do the tensioning adjusters look like, its difficult to see with no close up. What do the pole holders look like? close up needed. Is it a Lanshan killer? Probably not but there are other better tents.

    • @YONDERMOUNTAINADVENTURES
      @YONDERMOUNTAINADVENTURES  7 месяцев назад

      Thanks for watching and for the comments 👍... bathtub doesn't sag it keeps it form. As u say its a summer tent. It's doesn't have the centre pullouts but I dud show the lower side pull outs. The rigidity is better than my lanshan. No footprint (not required IMO). No options for inner that I can see from onetigris. I showed the corner pullouts and tensioners. I showed the pole holders also. Everyone has their own opinion on what's important to them.... for me this beats my lanshan. Thanks for taking the time abd for some valuable points 👍 ATB Simon

      @@YONDERMOUNTAINADVENTURES You did show but please do proper close ups, it was not possible to see clearly and I am looking at this on my large tv. The visual bath tub issue I am referring to is shown in the middle by your feet, its pretty obvious. Last but small issue with One tigris that's frustrating, they refuse, despite numerous requests, to put the model name of the tent on the outside of the bag. Have a good day.

    This was recently discounted on Amazon UK, but ordering direct from the US is prolly cheaper.
    Personally, I'd already considered this for doing the Cuddy Way and now I'm more convinced that it would be great summer hiking tent.
    Sadly, I'll have to leave it for a wee while as I just picked up the NatureHike Tagar 2 as a day-hiking emergency shelter; ain't got the moolah for two tents right now, even if they're both relatively inexpensive.

    It’s almost identical to their tangram only it’s half the weight. I just don’t like single skin tents. Also the tangram is 75D nylon whereas this one is 25D which, I think, makes it weaker. Having said that, the tangram is only 1500HH whereas you said this one is 3000HH? Tangram is cheap too. I think I got mine for around £120.

    A frame trekking poles tents are absolutely THE way to go for backpackers, I do think. But one of the problems with making the tent really WIDE like that is ya have to sleep sideways, in essence. A 5 foot by 7 foot trail tent you sleep longways with 7 foot of room from head to foot. You have 35 square foot of floor space, and if you want to cut your own poles on the trail? You can easily find tents in the 3 pound range, for a reasonable price. With THAT tent, you will sleep the opposite way. It is also not very deep. How much width space do you get? In a 5 by 7, each person gets 2.5 feet of width space to sleep in. Eight minutes in, when you laid down in it? Plenty of width space for ONE guy, but not for TWO guys. It is 1.2 meters wide. Which is about 3.96 feet. Well? Huh, 4 feet wide versus 5 feet wide is a big difference when two people are laying side by side there.
