@@Mico-rg9jg Ok, and why exactly do you need it. We've had turbos engines for forever now. They work great and they don't have reliability issues. Bought a 2024 Pro4x last month. Fully loaded: pro convenience package, pro premium package, off-road protection package, technology package, illuminated kick-plates, even got the decal on the hood (not that I was looking for that) -- I think the only things not included was the bed access package and USB charging kit. With $2K in dealer add-ins it was priced at $52K. After 2 hours back-and-forth I bought it for $44K -- and at 2.9%! Really liking this pick-up. Comfortable ride and great gas mileage.

Put over 200k miles on each with very little hiccups. I liked the physical appearance of them moreso than Toyota. Nissan was always more affordable on price too. I own a 10 year old Tundra now. That small Nissan 4x4 is what I would buy if I was in the market for a small truck. I’m not a bells and whistles guy, so I’d get fewer “gadgets”. 4x4 in a King Cab with Bilstein shocks and non turbo V6. Everything is expensive now, but the Nissan brings back fond memories for me. I walked into a Nissan dealer last month in my area and said will you guys take $3,500 off this new blue Frontier. Sales guy said let me get the manager. Manager came out and before he even walked up to me and shook my hand, he said yeah we can do that. I was like...wow, wasn't expecting that. Ended up not buying it due to the APR.

Toyota taco drove hard, seemed like it was having trouble keeping up with acceleration, and way more money. Love my Frontier, handles great, giddy up and go, sharp looking.
I just purchased a used 2022 SV 4x4 crew cab. Love it so far. My last truck was a 2011 Frontier with the same specs. It was a great truck as well with no issues. Love the Frontier size and utility. The 2022 is much better looking and more refined for sure.
It's a good looking truck, especially in that Boulder Grey color. What's crazy is that the Frontier is now outselling the Tacoma as a result of the poorly executed redesign. Absurdly high pricing, solely made in Mexico, turbo 4-cylinder as the only engine option, several add-on packages in order to get anything good, and tighter back seat. Lots of no-nos and as a result, the Nissan is looking better and better. Pricing is in check, still offers a V-6 as the standard engine, made in the U.S., decently equipped even without convenience packages, and roomier back seat.
Wow I got 2.9% through Nissan - but had to go with 36 Months loan. And I go 4K off the price of the truck as well.. Good Deal. Hope you enjoy yours as much as I love mine. (5 months old now) was a left over '23 P4X ( purchased in Jan)
I bought my gen 3 Nissan Frontier SV in late 2021 but it’s a 2022 model. I have had absolutely no problems with it at all. Congrats on the new truck. It’s a beauty
The Santa Cruz is a neat little vehicle. Just too small and pricey. I like the Ridgeline, too expensive and like the Hyundai, no frame. In my experience, frames are more rugged, last longer, and cheaper down the road when components start going. You at least can unbolt and replace most anything vs uni body. Definitely leaning towards the Frontier in the small truck category.
The Santa Cruz looks awesome but I think you made the right choice. I bought a 2023 Tacoma last year and if I have to replace it for any reason I will go with a Frontier. :))
Got a '23 and just love this truck. Got the exact same package as yours minus the stupid dealer add-ons. So glad they didn't put that nonsense on. A P4X with this package doesn't need much and I don't plan to ever change or alter the truck in any way.
I drove a used 2023 w/ 6k miles Memorial weekend. I was very impressed. Super quiet, smooth, powerful. Brakes were amazing and steering was firm. I would love to buy one but unfotunetly money is tight. But it was a nice experience
Sharp truck for sure, thought you misspoke when you called it a "Pro-X" because I had only ever seen the "Pro-4x", didnt know this trim was available in 2wd, but you being in Florida that makes sense, congrats on the purchase!
Ya a few thousand in saving going with 2WD. At the most in my entire adult life I have drove in grass. Mainly beach toys and hardware store runs so I should be fine.
Up here in the rust belt, 2wd trucks sit for a long time. So now I buy new 4wd ones even though I don't want it...need that resale value.
@@jasonin2detailsI live in West Virginia where it sometimes snows. I have had 4 wheel drive trucks for probably 15 plus years and there have been very few times I’ve actually needed to lock in the hubs. The truth is most people don’t really need 4wd.
@@jasonin2details yeah up here in Ohio where it snows quite a bit (or at least it used to), having 4WD can be a huge help...and a ton of fun forging through deep snow!
I understand where you are located in the USA but not ordering the 4WD for a little more is a big mistake on resale. That is a really expensive 2wd. You can get a PRO4x up here in the Chicago area for less than you spent on that 2wd.
That's the issue with 2wd. Save $2k up front, but on trade in you'll loose $4-$5k unless you're keeping it until the wheels fall off. They sell so poorly on used lots most dealerships don't even really want them, they know right away it's going to go to auction, and there is no money in it for them.
I bought a 2024 Pro4X in March. Love it! Better value than the Tacoma, Colorado/Canyon and Ranger. You mentioned the 5.9 finance rate, they also have a 2.9 for 36 months. Best thing was not having to pay MSRP or higher for it. Thanks for the video.
I bet the payment is still pretty insane at only 36 months though. I'd guess about $1200 a month for an SV model. A higher trim would probably be even worse.
Got about 4,000 miles on my 24 Pro-4X and am very pleased. Comfortable ride. Recently, 23 mpg in 400 miles of mixed driving. Performed well in deep sand/beach driving (of course tires were 18 psi). Technology is very good. Fit and finish very good. And I feel like what I got for the money made it the best value in the midsize truck segment.
Great video! You are right, at my local Nissan dealership, there's at least 15 new Frontier Pro4x with the black bead lock type wheels just sitting on the lot for a while. A Boulder Gray Frontier Pro4x that I have my eyes on arrived in the latter part of December of 2023, hasn't been sold yet. If it's not sold by the end of this month, I'll go to the dealership to see if they will at least give me a good price. I'm also looking to get a new pick up truck. Thanks for sharing!
Just ask for best out the door price with Dealer financing if you know special interest rate they are promoting. Dont let them add bunch of stuff in the paperwork, they all try
Very nice truck !! I went to my local Nissan dealership and saw this truck, and it had NO MARK UPS ... It was msrp at $41,877 and I will give this truck a second look.
@jervez911 Thanks looking for all the options , comparing to the Nissan. I've been a Toyota owner since '93 and I'm not happy with the engine choices at $50,000 plus and not 4 wheel drive.
@@uploadtime1780 sure sure, if you have the 40k just laying around good for you. But if you can afford 700/mo and want to have the capabilities that the 4x4 add then nothing wrong with saying that extra 1 or 2k that you negotiate add $25-50 for that, arguably better equipped truck.
It’s a pretty truck. I’ve seen now 3 different channels suggesting huge discounts on these but they didn’t actually buy it like you. It’s still 10k more than I want to spend but looks great.
Wow I really appreciate your perspective on the dealer shenanigans...I had to pay for all that junk - but I just knew I couldn't get around it. It's just part of the deal.
My guess is it will go away soon if they want to sell cars. Crazy thing I did not add in my story was they had this listed for $7500 less than MSRP on site. So I printed that out and took it in. Then they instantly added the "Dealer Advantage" $2999 right back in, I knew going in this would happen or they could never could sell it that low out the door on current model year.
I have the exact same truck. I put on 30% tint on the front doors and 50% on the back doors and back window and it is a good match between the front and back.
Good Looking truck! I test drove a Pro 4X that looked exactly like that! Went with the Tacoma. Have you seen the depreciation on the Santa Cruz? Be glad you didn't go there...
I so agree with you about the Santa Cruz just not being enough truck. The Ford Mavrick is just too small as well. (the metal flake you're seeing in the paint are fine metal shavings from when these are shipped by trains. This happens to Toyota's, too. Clay bar will removie it no worries). I'm looking to get the bright red one
@6:10 - I got lucky. I bought a Ridgeline that was PDI'd the day after it was delivered and was immediately put into the showroom. First time I've ever had a new vehicle that didn't sit on a lot for months building up all of that contamination.
Frontier’s a nice truck and purchase, glad you got a great deal. I know Nissan’s dealing now to move inventory. I’ll wait and see what changes are coming in the 2025 refresh, better infotainment, new front grille etc. If you’re happy that’s all that matters. Personally I’d leave it the way it looks, don’t make changes. It’s a good looking truck the way it is.
Funny…we have a Nissan Frontier Pro4X Premium and a Hyundai Santa Cruz. Congrats on the truck. Nice truck. Loving ours. Came from a 21 Toyota TRD Off Road Premium. Probably too late by now but I’d 100% leave the stickers…they look good and I think removing them will actually hurt resale imo…or at least it would if I were the buyer.
Nice truck, I’m just a Tacoma fan. The new 2025 is supposed to have a new 3.5 V-6 naturally aspirated. So I’ll wait to see if it has issues like the 2024.
@@davidzavala337 I agree, the price point is nice but these trucks 5 years ago were like mid 30s now they are over 40. So now people are forced to look at these because full size trucks are mostly over 50 and priced majority of people out. .
Said it before, I've owned 2 Frontiers and I'm sold on the truck. Lot's of changes for 2025 and I think that's really going to jump the prices up so check out the 2024 models!!
They are discounting these Frontiers like crazy. Actually. Nissan told dealerships to discount them heavily. In Texas, I'm seeing discounts upwards to 85% off MSRP. It's nuts.
I don't own Nissan but I can see this Frontier is a very nice looking in and out. I don't need a pick up truck at this time but if I do I will get the one with a good discount like this one.
I have that edge guard too on my Nissan car. Mine isn't coming off. I thought the factory did that not the dealer. I actually wasn't sure it was supposed to stay on. I thought maybe they forgot to take it off at the dealer. But I left it on as it isn't peeling off. You are the first Nissan owner to mention this. I didn't get charged for this as far as I know. I hope not. It was not listed anywhere. At the factory, they also put white paint dots on the windshield to help workers line up the wiper blades. Does your truck also have that?
Very nice. Been looking at a 22’. 17,000 miles. Clean car facts/1 owner. Been sitting on the lot 78 days. Dealer wants $32,300. Good deal or would people try to get that down some?. They have a few others that have been sitting awhile, not selling either.
Yes I bought a 2023 Toyota Tacoma and I really wish I had looked more at the Nissan because I had a Nissan frontier before and really is a great truck, I’ve had several Nissans over the years and they’re all good vehicles, but the thing I hated the most about the truck was the turning radius was just terrible it was very hard to make a three point turn or to do a U-turn because it in at the turning radius of a full-size truck it was unbelievable. I’m hoping that the new frontiers have a better turning radius. Do you think it’s mine or until you’re in a real hurry to make a turnaround or something you can get a little nerve-racking if you got cars coming.
@@jasonin2details Just a Jeep issue... their parent company isn't even in the USA any more. Nissan Frontier is made in Mississippi. All these companies are crazy spread out, you can't really ever buy a car made in 1 country any more.
Sadly is too cramped on the inside. Im 6 feet tall with a family, and we wouldn't fit comfortably. It needs 3 more inches of leg room. We sat on it during our local auto show only rhe gladiator had enough rear space our needs.
I had a 23 Gladiator, New. Engine blew up at 4000 miles, not my fault, they replaced and 80 miles later popped again. After 3 months in shop I sold it and got a settlement. I did like the Jeep a lot.
Not sure how Nissan quality is holding up these days. It's a really nice looking Tacoma copy cat and if price is alot less they might become the next best seller.
General consensus is its one of the most reliable drivetrains with the naturally aspirate v6 and the trans is 9 speed that has been reliable as well. Most of the frame and build specs come from the bigger brother titan. Its a dated old school design underneath but that is also what makes it reliable.

@@jasonin2detailsthat's good to know though. I'm 6 ft 3 275 pounds and it was a lil to small for like a bigger frame man ! I'll have to go to an older Silverado with the 5.3 for the cabin space.! I think end of June dealers are going to be hurting.

its a 9 speed Automatic with a pretty good track record. Nissan has had issues with CVT and front wheel drive Autos in cars... but Frontier is pretty rock solid
@@aymanlockhartable no... its a 9 speed Automatic transmission. A CVT is something completely different that has no gears. The CVT Nissan used that had problems was a belt system like used in scooters almost. Those are just not great in cars. I know people call them all "Automatic" but thats people misusing the word to try to simplify it. No one should buy any vehicle with a CVT, you are asking for problems. Now Hybrids with a eCVT is something different still... a CVT and eCVT are not remotely the same, just to keep it more confusing.
5.9% apr on purchase is not a good rate. Some dealers offer 0.9%. When you say $4000 off the price of the truck, what is that price you referred to? MSRP or with Add On. When I viewed the video, I did not see forward avoidance sensors. Are they not available of the upper trim you purchased? After your first couple of weeks, are you satisfied with its power steering? I am thinking of the Frontier and also the Tacoma. I am undecided.
Some other brands might offer lower APR but on 5 year loan Nissans best is 5.9. if you want short term loan 3 years they have better rate but payment is to high per month for me. $4000 off retail MSRP of $43,750. The actual discount was almost $8000 off the dealer add on sticker that price included the Advantage program, and a few other silly things. Power steering is fine I drive sports cars and like it tighter than normal.
@@jasonin2details Excellent reply. I use Edmunds app where different dealers list their vehicles with APR and money factors for leases. In Phoenix and in Austin areas the current APR is 0.9%. We bought our new Honda at that rate. About power steering, we are not race car drivers. We like easy turning steering wheels as we want to park at places like Costco. Finger tip steering. That killed the Frontier and we are considering Tacoma when 2025 models come out. We are not price sensitive.

Nissans have made good trucks for decades this is truck art 🖼️
I'm getting one next week after working outside the states for almost 7 months. so excited.
Wait until July when there's a new law coming out where the dealerships have to honor the price they show online😉
@@richardbolitho, thanks, didn't know about that, much appreciated!
Very nice truck !! I went to my local Nissan dealership and saw this truck, and it had NO MARK UPS ...
It was msrp at $41,877 and I will give this truck a second look.
Should be able to get it at 35k but I'd say get the 4x for the extra $25/ month.
@jervez911 Thanks looking for all the options , comparing to the Nissan. I've been a Toyota owner since '93 and I'm not happy with the engine choices at $50,000 plus and not 4 wheel drive.
@@jervez911 figuring it by monthly payment is the wrong way to do it.
@@jervez911 4wd should have better resale, that's for sure.
Beautiful truck, I have a 2024 Frontier SL and it’s great .
Looking to buy a Frontier now, but dealer games are disgustingly.
Internet ads are lies.
@@kendallfaught4871 Try the Costco auto program
I have the exact same truck. I put on 30% tint on the front doors and 50% on the back doors and back window and it is a good match between the front and back.
Midsized trucks with a 6 foot bed? Just one.
@devildog5354it's a king cab then for this nissan
You can get a Frontier SV crew cab or king cab with a six-foot bed.
I just traded my 21 Titan on a 24 Frontier Pro4X. I love this turbo free V-6.
There will always be something coming out better, Or maybe not if they follow others and go 4cy
@kevinoglesby8001 not to many issues with the current motor unlike some other brands
Congratulations!! I too bought a 24 Pro 4X
This is a Pro-X. It’s 2WD
@@austinatomTV I realize that. I meant just frontier.
Enjoy! I own a 22 Frontier you won’t be disappointed!
It's just a tad to small for a bigger average guy for me. Would love if it was more spacious but all medium trucks now are kind of small.
Yet everyone thinks they are huge.
I still find mid-size trucks small with bad rear leg room for families.
@@davidzavala337 I agree, the price point is nice but these trucks 5 years ago were like mid 30s now they are over 40. So now people are forced to look at these because full size trucks are mostly over 50 and priced majority of people out. .
Thanks. Good info. appreciate the OTD price too.
Looks great, congrats 👍🏻
Said it before, I've owned 2 Frontiers and I'm sold on the truck. Lot's of changes for 2025 and I think that's really going to jump the prices up so check out the 2024 models!!
They are discounting these Frontiers like crazy. Actually. Nissan told dealerships to discount them heavily. In Texas, I'm seeing discounts upwards to 85% off MSRP. It's nuts.
I don't own Nissan but I can see this Frontier is a very nice looking in and out. I don't need a pick up truck at this time but if I do I will get the one with a good discount like this one.
Sarasota? My cousins live there. I visit all the time. In Boston, 2.9% 60 months
They just announced new lower rates nation wide. I saw 3.9 for 60 months. Only affects my payment a few bucks a month.
Nope, no dots
Very nice. Been looking at a 22’. 17,000 miles. Clean car facts/1 owner. Been sitting on the lot 78 days. Dealer wants $32,300. Good deal or would people try to get that down some?. They have a few others that have been sitting awhile, not selling either.
That’s $32,300 out the door pricing in comment above
Pretty good discount but interest still high at 5.9 for an excellent credit
Bring back the manual trans!!😊
I am to spoiled to row the gears! I wish I had Stick in my Supra!
Correct, the 6 speed manual offered by Toyota is one reason why I buy Tacos.
I’ve got nothing against Nissan though.
@devildog5354 so Nissan still offers manuals for 2024 models?
Love the Frontier... hate the small beds all these trucks are using though.
5.9% is not good, especially for people with great credit. In Indiana you can get a Pro4X for $40k..odd a two wheel would be that much
In the current market 5.9 is not that bad. I always end up paying off way sooner so it really does not matter.
@@jasonin2details interest rates are between 8-10% so 5.9 is pretty good right now.
it almost has a truck bed...😐
You got a nice truck, congrats.
Nice truck, good luck with her)
Keep an eye on the diff sometime they leak
Put those front seats all the way back then show the rear legroom...
Looks great! I like the color too!
Are you going to add any roofracks or extra offroad stuff to it?
I will be doing something in the bed. Have not decided
I have a pro 4x the only gripe is the rear window and that stupid sliding middle window I would had preferred a full rear window with a widow defogger
Just wish there was a manual
I'm going back and forth on this truck and the GMC Canyon. I'll have to see if I can find a deal.
I like the GMC, I did not shop them. After my New Jeep Gladiator blew up twice I am burned on American build quality in trucks for a bit.
@@jasonin2details Yeah. I'm not sold on the 2.7L turbo either. But it sounds better built that Toyota 2.4L Turbo.
I just purchased the GMC Canyon AT4, love it.
@@glennmccormick8661 It looks very cool stock!
Muy Bonita camioneta , felicidades.
Es 2wd ? Viene con REAR DIFFERENTIAL LOCK 🔐?
Nice looking truck
Better than the new Tacoma. It’s a sweet truck, I just wish Nissan would build a 6 ft bed option
yeah the small beds suck. They have 6 foot bed option on the King Cab, and on the lower trim Crew Cab, but the higher models are 5 foot only.
Great truck
@5:20 - did they freehand that door edge film with a pair of scissors?
Not sure how Nissan quality is holding up these days. It's a really nice looking Tacoma copy cat and if price is alot less they might become the next best seller.
General consensus is its one of the most reliable drivetrains with the naturally aspirate v6 and the trans is 9 speed that has been reliable as well. Most of the frame and build specs come from the bigger brother titan. Its a dated old school design underneath but that is also what makes it reliable.
It's a great truck you will love it !!!!
I'm holding out for 2025 model where they're finally adding ProPilot 😄
5/28/24 - Thank you for this review
Since Toyota has even more so gone woke since April 2023
I will NOT buy any twin turbo Toyotas
Because of this your review
I plan to go to Nissan check In out myself
Yes this Frontier you chose and loaded your way
Nice ...

Nice truck. I like the frontier. Tacomas suck now. Luv to see it when ur done.
VEry nice truck ! A lot of haters in the comments but I think if one wants a new truck go for it! I as a teacher can't afford a new truck so will probably keep my 2012 Pro 4X but I love the old school feel of it..plus I use my 6 foot bed a lot!
Frontier is a really nice truck unfortunately I would never buy a Nissan since they screwed me with a Sentra cvt. I know the frontier has a proper transmission but they will not get my money again.
My local dealer, no pro's and only 1K off.
I like that color a lot.
Huh, Lots of room in the back seat? How tall are you, 5'5. Nissan has one of the tightest rear seat compartments.
I like to sit so close to my steering wheel that I can chew on it! Lots of backseat room that way. Is that weird?
I heard that frontiers have transmission problems.
Everything made ever does if you look. So far Im just fine.

I guess someone forgot to tell our local Nissan dealer...tried to get them to come down less than $2K...but they would not budge over a couple hundred. So I walked.
Thats what you should do. Often we get emotional buy anyways.
I like frontiers. Teeny little box though.
Yes but seems much bigger than the Hyundai Santa Cruz I almost got!

Ya 24 Tacoma was ok. Cost a lot more right now. I thought the back seat was little bigger in Nissan then new 24 Toyota. I do like my 6cyl motor. You made a good choice
So what was it out the door with all that rebates and taxes etc/.
Zero tax and that will differ for every person. I had almost equal trade so i used the tax credit. Out the door was 39500, about 4000 off

Santa Cruz is a POS compared to that, turbo engine and that transmission are TROUBLE, base engine is SLOW and the off road capability is a joke, bed is SMALL too, you made the right choice!

The Nissan frontier does not have a CVT correct?
I don't think its a CVT in the truck. Not 100% sure but I think its more traditional 9 speed auto
its a 9 speed Automatic with a pretty good track record. Nissan has had issues with CVT and front wheel drive Autos in cars... but Frontier is pretty rock solid
@@AyaWetts Does the Nissan frontier has a CVT?
I dont see the point of owning a midsize or full size truck with a short bed.
Unless,
all one needs is a short box, for smaller tools, material and general debris.
Damn nice truck
