They asked him if he could recall any of his powers from Greece and he stated that he could not and they theorized that much of his strengths and powers were tied to that former realm. Would explain a lot why in the previous games he pulled off feats that were outrageous compared to the Norse games.Though I would say rotating Tyr’s Temple was definitely up there.
It wasnt "nerfed". You guys always forget that Kratos was never unbeatable. He fails, and dies, in every single God of War game. The only reason he was able to continue is because Athena kept releasing him from the underworld and giving him more power in every single game, giving him more weapons, even Zeus gave some of his power to Kratos, which Kratos then used against him later. Thor straight up kills him in their first duel, and then brings him back to life with Mjolnir.

That really did look like lore-accurate Kratos, though maybe if Kratos were like that in the last two games, they wouldn’t have had much of a storyline 😄. By the way, I recently played GOW through Boosteroid because my PC can’t handle the game’s power, and I enjoyed it a lot.

stopping to think about it really seems to be more correct, a weapon attack is very strong, and causes absurd damage, it makes a lot of sense even though it is a difficult fight and doesn't last long, after all it's like "whoever hits first, gets it"
