14 mpg we have the older version and have a big family. W have had 3 generations of them, all 14 mpg. We figured out it is a cheeper to get a second car for town driving
I think they have something similar since they are back being a 4-wheel drive model and not all wheel drive like the '07-'14 Escalade. Not sure but if I am not mistaken, two wheel high or two wheel low what I saw when reading reviews. You can turn the dial for auto 4-wheel drive mode.

the taillights suck, looks like a volvo 850 in the back haha. but i really like the idea to design a car like NY skyscraperarchitecture, very nice! im very minimalistic, so all that safety bullshit and luxury is not my stuff. i guess you dont have citroens in the us but look at the "cactus" . its very minimalistic for its time and the design is very interesting, too. just another direction of thinking. the video is very well made as always ;) greets from germany

Bryan Doherty I suggest you start studying engines before you criticize them. Look up OHV vs OHC. Displacement has nothing to do with physical engine size.
Bryan Doherty because DOHC engines tend to be physically larger and heavier than GMs OHV engines. And the amount of usable torque in their 6.2 is far more linear.
Range Rover looks better but dollar for dollar the Escalade is a better price. The Range Rover is a bit overpriced. The Escalade can serve two different markets of people looking for high quality cars while the RR is really meant for the one category of extra wealthy people.

I don't understand these things. Solid rear axle so immediately you know it handles like shit & rides rough. Not a nice luxurious interior like a GL Merc. So it's entire mission is completely missed. Space? Who needs it? 363 days of the year 1 person will commute to the office in this. I just don't understand why morons buy junk like this, or how it even makes through the 5 year development cycle without anyone at GM noticing it gawd awful

But to me if you buy an Escalade you don't know anything about any other car or you simply have bad taste. I would get a Porsche Cayenne, Audi Q7 or a Range Rover Evoque.
American auto-makers need to step their game up. This car is basically a frame on chasis which is the same structural design as a PICK UP TRUCK! Have you ever rode around in the 3rd row in this time of vehicle? It's like sitting on rocks. If you need room and want a good looking vehicle why not look at a fully loaded ML 350 bluetech which will get you close to 32mpg, BMW X5 or the new Porsche Macan? All of those vehicles well equipped will save you over $20K! GM is losing their edge faster and faster and it's sad. I wish America could produce more and become a manufacturing country that can compete with the rest of the world, instead of just consuming all of the worlds production.
Am I the only person who thinks it is a REALLY ugly car. From no angle does it look appealing. Even the interior the lines and design are really unbecoming. It almost looks like who ever designed it just used a ruler and 2b pencil and just drew straight lines in every direction with no order.
Two quick observations: Big Ugly, CHEAP looking hinges on middle and back row seats, At least color the hinges the same as the leather. The seats themselves are the same as in a Tahoe, just with "Escalade" leather/stitching, not even sure if the leather is of better quality either. A $70-100,000 vehicle should have luxurious looking AND feeling seats in all positions. Second: Seriously lacking brake package. Big new engine, big power, big truck, should have impressive fade-free brakes. Look at the monster size multi-piston, huge rotor brakes that BMW uses for their similarly high powered and significantly lighter SUVs.
Me either. When you buy a Mercedes you know for sure it's going to be a very high quality product. A Cadillac is just a rebadged Chevy with some shiny bits stuck on and different plastic in the interior

And not so fast about the Benz having better quality than the Escalade because that is no longer true. Both the GL and Escalade are very nice vehicles and are equal in qaulity but for the money, most people will buy the Escalade a lot quicker than the GL. The Escalade according to few sources was rated highest in the initial quality awards for as luxury SUVs are concerned. The GL does not have the status symbol and image like the Escalade does. Escalade is just too strong for Cadillac just like the S Class is for Mercedes Benz.
I've owned General Motors products and they where awful pieces of shit. I don't care if people say their better built, I'm never buying one again because of the piece of crap GM product I owned. Not only that but their customer service for me at least was awful. I'll never buy one again.
It will never be better than a range rover but I think it can at least have A chance to compete with it if it has a panoramic glass roof and a knob for the cue system which range rover doesn't have and a roof made of alcantara not this cheap material !
