So infrastructure ready or not we're really doing this EV thing Especially when it makes Cadillac Escalade & LYRIQ compete ahead of a gas Lexus in a (EV inherited) very quiet, reliable & low maintenance luxury vehicle ALL tempting to this double Lexus owner
Hi guys.I think it would be beneficial to your viewers if you could demonstrate front and rear exterior lighting and interior ambient lighting in a dark environment.Well done for the good reviews you produce.
Your reviews are thorough and I especially love the resale and reliability reviews analyses, that’s something most content creators on RUclips don’t do.
@ I understand that the high end level with the executive second row package has the power adjustable seat, but that’s additional 20000+7500. Even the entry model still costs 130000+ and it deserves a power adjustment motor under the second row seat. I hope Escalade IQ design manager can see this comment, although I don't think anything they can change
I just test drove a Luxury 2. I have waited for months dreaming about this car. I walked out of the dealership. Long story short: This is not a $150K vehicle.
@@barrythehatchet1380 I also dreaming about this car, you are not the worst. I live in BC Canada, the base model here start from 163000 CAD, plus luxury tax (12000+) and plenty of other federal and provincial taxes (25% at this price tag), it goes up to 220K CAD total cash price for a base model without any options
Lots you can do with that much battery capacity. I think people will choose these specifically for the luxury of the battery size that they get to live with. You’re less concerned with range and can use that battery to power other things at the house. 🏡
Good looking car, albeit almost cartoonishly large. I love it, I have to admit. Lack of B-pillar vents for the 2nd row means just lower mounted center vents, a surprise considering the price point here, but three ceiling vents for the 3rd row is impressive.
Even though it has a little bit more horsepower than the V, the V has that loud sound that lets you know it’s coming from a mile away !!! so it’s the coolest Escalade ever.
While I generally like it for that kind of money I think it should have a cover for the glass roof, blinds for the side windows and Apple CarPlay. Price is crazy of course but I assume the lease deals will be super.
CarPlay and android auto are just screen mirroring essentially. So I don’t think that’s a “for the money “ proposition. It’s not a big cost thing to have in a vehicle since just about every car made in the last 7-8 years has android auto or Apple CarPlay. I’ve had my IQ for about 2 months now and as someone who used CarPlay religiously it is in no way missed in the iq. However if I had my choice I would have preferred Apple automotive which is not the same as CarPlay. The shade is virtually redundant as it is polarized more than enough. I can also say since owning the vehicle I don’t really think I’ve ever been more pleased with an suv purchase and I’ve owned them all. The luxury and comfort is just next level And the ride is nothing short of fantastic. My only real reservation when I decide to buy my first ev suv was the range. 460 just seemed like bait. I was fully expecting to get 320-360 and Have a billion excuses from Cadillac on why it didn’t achieve close to max range but I’m on my 6th full charge since I got it and have tracked my miles since the 3rd full charge and even with the family in tow and a lot of highest driving in the cold weather I’ve not seen less than 426 miles on a full charge. And keep in mind this is with regular driving. Like I’m not making any attempt to drive any differently than I do any other vehicle. I’ve stomped on it plenty of times and I don’t try to drive more “efficiently “. Mostly because I have a home charger and really don’t drive more than max 240 miles on any given day but the 2nd day I had it I drove from 30 mile North of Philadelphia to downtown Manhattan and back and started the day with 351 miles of range after driving around a bit the night i brought it home. 180 miles round trip and when I pulled into The garage I was at 164 miles range remaining. Just an absurdly nice suv and I’m positive anyone that even test drive one would walk away very very impressed
I can see this being very successful. Despite its price the gas version is almost just as expensive. So the customers are there and it’s definitely an eye catching vehicle.
For all the high end materials, the ultra luxury heavy interior, and the crazy expensive price, why does the driver side dash board end look so incomplete and not put together right. Sorry that’s a missed opportunity to make a better impression of quality.
The Cadillac Escalade IQ is a luxury SUV with a lot of advanced features and a sleek design. It's all about that high-end comfort and technology. Do you have a preference for luxury SUVs like the Escalade.
does it give you average efficency? wh/mi type? Id like to know that if I'm getting 2,3,4 miles per kwh. Sounds like you're at 400 wh/mi with that range at a 200 kwh battery pack.
You guys didn't measure the frunk. I hope its big enough to fit a full size spare tire. I'm guessing a matching wheel and tire will be well over $1000.
Thanks for the review! I bet most of the clientele for this vehicle will either be limousine hires or celebrities than the more traditional gas powered clientele.
For a car of this class I really would expect real leather seats. I am so sick of luxury brands switching to cheap faux leather and trying to pass it off as environmentally friendly.
Very nice but… 1. No Apple Carplay 2. Why do these car makers think everyone a massive sunroof yet not having a sun shade or, at this price level an electronically dimming sunroof? 3. Certainly way out of my price range !!
Probably the smallest nitpick in the world, but I don't like how all GM products use the same chimes and sounds. It makes that "getting in" experience slightly less special. Even Lexus finally fixed theirs in their current generation cars. Other than that though, this is such a phenominal car
@5:53 I think Cadillac could have done a lot better in how they handled the consul end cap. It looks like a cheap piece of plastic slapped on the side.
Why they made the EV escalade swb even larger than the the normal gas Escalade and as large as the normal gas escalade ESV is beyond me. EVs with a dedicated platform should manage space WAY better than a comprable gas car. Think model Y versus BMW X4/X6 or GLE/GLC coupe. The cadillac Vistiq looks way more appealing. Only downside is the 102kwh battery will not deliver the promised 300 miles of range when
Question , the glass roof solar radiation with No sunscreen , the solar radiation will cook the interior of this car with the heat along ! Next question estimation for the hummer roughly $350 to charge it up. I can imagine this vehicle be close to that same price even though wattage charger is varied from region to region. That never seems to get quite addressed. I enjoy the review.
Thank you GM for continuing to make gas guzzlers. My children's University fund invests in XOM, SHEL, CVX and others. For a while there, with all the green sentiment, these stocks were doing rather badly. But now? Wow! They are doing great. Thanks again to all who are still driving gas guzzlers. Thank you for your support. Keep those Chinese EVs out of 'Mrika please.
I don’t think anything else about this vehicle impressed me but its size. In videos and pictures alone this looks absolutely gigantic and it crash walking does not help the fact that it looks stupidly cartoonish with those 24’s😭.
That interior is far superior than the regular Escalade. That’s one nice vehicle. The range of it is amazing compared to other EV’s. But I do think for $140k they should not put fake leather in the vehicle. You should have an option for that amount of money.

Did you two shrink or is that a huge frikkin’ car? You look like kids next to it!
This is a lot bigger than the regular Escalade and almost as big as the ESV.
Lol
The Escalade iq is just huge. It's built on the same platform as the Hummer EV and is a foot wider that a "regular" gas powered Escalade.
@@SouthernGent44its an inch wider
Was about to make this same comment
This looks more like an Escalade than the standard one. It’s a throwback in a way to the iconic 2nd Gen imo

Agreed! Deal breaker for ultra luxury vehicle.
+1 for ambient lighting. Car reviewers never show it and it is an important feature
Sounds every bit as good as people thought it would be. Great vehicle
Phenomenal review guys!😸🎄
Excited about this video. Watching now.
CADDY Escalade Inquisitive - Merry Christmas Hardesty Brothers - thanks for this awesome report. Tony
Escalade IQ, long wheelbase IQ L could be coming as soon as next year and could either start production next year or sometime the year after that
Already in production
i hereby dub this as the EVscalade .. vs the GAScalade . haha. love 'em both
For the same price i prefer the Escalade V
You get the torque and therefore the acceleration.

Excellent car, but can't believe the second row of a 130000+ car is manually adjusted
the model they are showing is 2nd trim to base.

Great review, as always, guys! Merry Christmas to everyone!!!🎉
Thanks so much! Merry Christmas!
I wish it had a sunshade for the glass roof. The IQ is too large for my needs.
Really that's the greenhouse effect lol
Thanks for the video, very detailed 😊
You're welcome! We're glad you enjoyed it!
Bravo, GM!
Fantastic car!! Chapeau!
or you could say escalade escalated instead of escalade elevated
