    As a European I can tell you that having an Escalade sends a clear message that "you're the boss".

    I have already seen six around where i live and everytime one passes i almost run off the road or into another car because of how head turning the suv's are. Probably the best looking suv on the market. Watch out Gemrans, the americans are coming for you and are taking back the luxury name.

    • @fadi6730
      @fadi6730 9 лет назад

      you need more than one SUV to take back the name. Because even Mercedes's C-class benz killed the XTS.

    The Cadillac Escalade ESV is the new limo you can't compare it to a Mercedes or a Range Rover. It's like comparing an apple to a watermelon.

    • @bryandoherty9399
      @bryandoherty9399 10 лет назад +2

      The Mercedes and Range Rover aren't full size SUVs, the Lincoln Navigator is the only competitor to the Escalade

      ***** it's an SUV not a truck. Well saying its a rebadged Chevy isn't right anymore they've stepped up their game and made it a luxury vehicle. I just don't think comparing it to a Range Rover the Mercedes SUV is a fair comparison, they're much smaller in interior volume and exterior dimensions then even the short wheel base Escalade. For myself I don't like the look of the Escalade as much as the Range Rover, so if I was in the market for a high end SUV I'd get the Range Rover. But I'm not saying the Escalade doesn't look nice I just like the looks of the Range Rover better.

    • @bryandoherty9399
      @bryandoherty9399 10 лет назад

      DonTHEhandsome1 I know about the automotive industry, and it's classified as an SUV. It's a pretty pointless truck, you can't throw any hammers in the back, Can't do any work with an SUV unlike a truck. Not to mention if you did know about the automotive industry you'd know that when the SUV was created they where on truck frames and drivetrains but called SUVs which if you don't know stands for sports utility vehicle.

    • @cb8621
      @cb8621 9 лет назад +1

      +tingokuman Kelly Blue Book value for a 2012 Cadillac Escalade ESV is $53,800. That's not a horrible amount of depreciation for an $88k luxury SUV to be honest. I'd suggest you research your claims before ignorantly blurting out nonsense. Thanks

    • @tingokuman
      @tingokuman 9 лет назад

      Chris Belmonte Hey if you like the escalade just say I like the escalade. But common sense will tell you a kbb estimation is just that. Call a dealership that actually sells cars. My neighbor just bought a 2011 for $32,000 out the door as it sat on the lot for 6 months. Its not exactly easy to drive fuel or insure when common sense comes into play.

      2011 esv 37,000 mi $39,000 and ill bet there is still more wiggle room on the price as these 11mpg beasts sit around car lots for months.

    I'll give you the front and the rear, but that wheel gap is INSANE! (in a bad way) A range rover on full off-road mode doesn't have that much gap.... If I'm rolling in a close to 100k car I better not be able to fit a Yaris between the tires and the fender unless I want to.

    The Escalade is just an expensive suburban. The Que system is horrible, the stitching was all wavy, and the third row is still small. Expedition is cheaper, has more room, can tow more, and has independent rear suspension. In the Escalade they put a cargo box in the back to raise the floor because of the high second and third row seats. This makes the floor slant and is just bad design. You would have to be stupid to buy an Escalade of any kind. FastLaneDaily

    Cadillac is the only brand at GM I would consider buying. They have independent management from the idiots at the top, and make damn good cars. CTS-V, the new Escalade, ATS, and plans for a new top end luxury sedan are all awesome. Cadillac moved to New York because they are better than General Motors, and require the freedom that it affords. Lincoln used to be this good, but they are up shit's creek right now. They need to get their fucking act together and 1. Bring back the Town Car as a domestic luxury sedan. 2. Bring back the Continental as an absolute top end gigantic luxury saloon like it used to be. 3. Bring back a car similar to the LS, a true driver's car, designed for performance to compete with performance sedans from BMW, Mercedes, and Cadillac. and 4. Differentiate themselves by offering true customization, not just packages and shit, offer cars that can be TRULY personalized to the end user like they were in 1950s and 60s. Create a relationship with the customers, and take input on everything you do. Make concept cars that people actually care about and be innovative. If I was the manager of Lincoln Motor Company, things would fucking change for the better.

      They really dont last the years well. The defender was amazing though. But for the years to come though the Cadillac would go 300k easy with proper maintenance and oil changes. Then again the people who can buy the land rover or Cadillac new probably only keep it 2-4 years anyways so reliability issues shouldn't come to play as much.

    Cadillac Escalade is all grown up looking more and more like a Ford Expedition silhouette; so much so GM even duplicated the worst attribute of the Expedition center drop down rear screen at this price point it should be two screens in the headrest.

    The styling to me is meh, those taillights just don't do it for me. And I also think that the suede on the dash is kind of tacky, why not put all leather? And the last thing is that 420 horsepower out of a 6.2 liter is kind of ridiculous, supercharge or turbo the thing that way the engine can be downsized.

    • @TH3G0ODGUY
      @TH3G0ODGUY 10 лет назад +8

      The engine is already small and compact. It isn't a DOHC V8, meaning it has much smaller and lighter heads. Sure the bore and stroke are large, but the engine itself is physically much smaller and lighter than even the 3.8 Liter in Nissan GTR. It also still gets the best fuel economy in class.
      You need to learn more about engine designs before you criticize the output of an engine.

    • @Rome1017Lights
      @Rome1017Lights 10 лет назад

      Like Neptune said, Its small, why do you think so many people swap this into cars like the Mazda Miata and NIssan 240sx, Tiny engine, huge power potential.
      Also what do you mean 420hp out of a 6.2 is ridiculous?

    This car is about the same price as a Range Rover. Why would you buy this over a Range Rover if you're not either a) professional athlete b) pop music/entertainment celebrity c) a drug dealer or d) a pimp?

    • @dnez3791
      @dnez3791 10 лет назад +1

      Pimps cant afford this...and why would you stereotype this vehicle like that. So are all owners of high end vehicles pimps and dealers are Lambo owners pimps or yacht owners...no just folks that earned the right to buy what ever their money can afford...f'ing P.O.S. hypocrite.

  • @SupportNoob
    @SupportNoob 9 лет назад

    I LOVE the new design, The Range Rover looks almost identical and not WOW enough but in quality interior I think it could be better than this but not by a lot since we don't inspect inch by inch plus the GL just looks to plain and not WOW enough but in Safety technology the GL wins against the Escalade and RR.
    I would take this because of the WOW factor and almost every rich guys has a RR plus "reliability" is not important if you got so much money to pay for this and the gas money hahaha.

    • @presidentkyrstensinema6374
      @presidentkyrstensinema6374 9 лет назад

      Actually, the escalade has a better crash rating

    • @SupportNoob
      @SupportNoob 9 лет назад

      Jordan Sloan That is good for a Body on frame truck, If I am not mistaken the GL is Unibody ( I think) and crash tests favor unibodies way more but in safety technology (auto braking, lane departure, etc. etc.) the GL wins, mercedes is way ahead in that department.
