I like the tail gate design! It's actually a great option! You could haul pipes without you tail gate open. That glass hatch is protected while open by the smaller entrance hole. It gives you more options!
Hey that extra glass open in the back is handy when you load it up so things don't fall out and break. I owned two vehichle with and with out. I have never had anything fall out on me with the vehicle with the extra glass opening but the Enclave doesn't open like that and it sucks not having itbecause crap always fall out. So there is some good in it. Stay positive my man.
I completely disagree about the back window. It is useful for long items. Such as surfboards and pipes, wood, etc. Now I know such a long car you can fit that type of stuff inside. But with the smaller wheel base models it is kind of necessary. I like what Toyota does better with the rear sliding window like a door window.
Finally , a storage space for jumper cables and emergency items. Long overdue. Now, how about sliding middle seat tracks ? Design 'em like you have to drive them.
Good honest review. I would have not objected against a more lengthy review. I guess engineers might think the same because I too am a bit torn on whether it's worth 90k USD. I think I would accept the price, but only if proper after market would be available to move the luxury level even up a notch. Straight out of the box might not be it for me.
Too bad that the tow capacity is still not certified by SAE J2807. Until it is, the ratings are all just marketing fluff and could put you in danger if reality is exceeded. Otherwise, its a dandy SUV. But I'll buy a J2807 certified SUV instead. Thank You
yeah I agree. But when you've got 3 kids, 2 giant dogs, and travel hockey every weekend...I guess my choices are pretty limited. Range rover, Cayenne, Mercedes GL, etc are too small for my needs. I need room for 2 hockey bags, sticks, dogs, suitcases and all of that ---The yukon xl was a great ride too, but I could not see over dash because of the dash 'hump'- I am very short. Any suggestions?
I personally like the taillights. I'm glad they utilized the space above the orginal taillight cut off.

Sorry 1999 was the first Escalade - sorry for the mistake - we knew 1999 but 2009 rolled off the tongue.

I like the window that opens via the trunk because my dogs can put their faces out :)

Thanks for your honest opinion. I do like the rare windows.

he said it looks like a fancy suburban don't compare that junk with this
+Emmanuel Garcia they are both made by the same company. Same body, same insides. GM; made in Arlington TX
@@srussia2281 no the insides are different cause the suburban and the Yukon xl have a Navigation screen that can rise unlike the escalade
Love it, reminds me of the 1950's.
YOU KNOW I LOVE IT, IT IS EVERY THING I EVER WOULD WANT.
I don't like the fact that the third row doesn't recline.

I see them around but barley, it's always business owners
Wow that what you call real information☆☆☆☆☆ ...information the the dealer never tell to the customer. ..
You should've climbed into the 3rd row to see if at least two adults could fit.
This is a beautiful truck I would rather this over any german
Honestly the design of this gen is nice until you get to the rear.... the taillights destroy the rear end and that tiny rear hatch is a stupid design.
nice
you can upgrade an LTZ with the same 6.2 engine as an escalade and save $20k
Aaron Crocker Yes, this is one fine ride but way, WAY too expensive. We have the Yukon and saved $15K.
I can see much better in this vehicle vs the Yukon denali xl
👍👏👏🇺🇸

The taillights really messed this car up
Yeah 😒
$90k !?!?!?!!!!!!! Yea I'll take a suburban any day. And I agree with the people below. It looks like a hurst in the rear.
It looks like a hurst
THis car is plainly ugly...looks like a tall station wagon, ugly tail lights.
+stephen maina I thought that too until I saw it in person; it really is a stunner!
+Sadie Lynne Depta i think it's predecessor looks better :)
