    I must be the only person who doesn't like console mounted shifters. The reason why I enjoy the column mounted shifter is because there is so much more storage space in the center console that doesn't need to be sacrificed for a sporty feel on a full size SUV. The new Escalade looks fantastic.

    I like you reviews. You are not copying saabkyle like as I have noticed a lot of youtubers do. You are even better maybe than him, you are not annoying with 20 min of exterior car shots while you read something you found on internet about what cars chassis is made of, we can read that. Relatively short videos but full of details, keep up the good work!

    as much as I was initially turned off by the Redesign...im now starting to warm up to it and see just how big a difference they've made. the Escalade has a come a LONG way since 1999.

    ''Cadillac'' especially Escallade's association to the Hip-Hop music genre (Videos, Songs etc.) over the last 20 - 25yrs has defined the brands COOL factor. That music genre made Cadillac cool to the 25 - 45yr old buyers. At a time when other GM products are not as highly regarded. Just look at the success of second generation CTS. Its no coincidence I own a 2010 CTS-4.
    The 2015 Escallade is a clear class leader.

    You could also buy the Escalade just if you like the vehicle, it doesn't need to just be to show off to other people. I'd drive an Escalade even if nobody else ever saw me driving it.

    It's funny how the Yukon Denali/Cadillac Escalade were made as a response to the Lincoln Navigator in the late 90's, and the GM SUVs have definitely established more presence, especially since they have been making more differences. Like in the early 2000's, if you've seen one GM interior, you've seen them all. But now you can clearly see differences in the interior of a mid range GM SUV (Tahoe/Suburban/Yukon/XL) and of a base model Escalade. And from the looks the Navigator has always been an Expedition with Lincoln emblems.

      Itheman123456789 yup it's true they are money pits and will have you constantly at the mechanics. 2014 and down don't nearly have as many problems most complaints are the rims after awhile will rust or start to mess up the tires causing the tires to leak and loose pressure.

    Wow 3 ELRs in stock? Perhaps they are doing a special, something like buy an Escalade and get an ELR at half-price? But I guess when you have a cash cow like the Escalade you can afford to have blunders like the ELR.

    Nice review ,
    I have never thought of the Escalade a car for me , but there is so much to it.
    I didn´t now that the hoppy feeling is because of the axle . My old Jaguar XJS has that and it probably does not have independent suspension . Do you think that´s right ??
    Thank´s

    • @Intechdude300
      @Intechdude300  10 лет назад

      I wish. But it can be exhausting. I put over 20 hours of work into Editing. More than that was put into this one. It gets tiring & I need my break away from the computer screen sometimes

    • @Intechdude300
      @Intechdude300  10 лет назад

      Actually the hoppy feeling that I was getting at is generally a motion that every car with a solid/live rear axle suffers from which translates to the body. You'll get it in any pickup truck, 2014 and older mustangs and anything else with that suspension setup, nothing to do with the tire size. I've driven dozens of Tahoes, Yukons, & Escalades with 17, 18, 20, and 22 inch wheels and it really doesn't make any difference other then making the ride stiffer, more stable, but unfortunately with additional wheel hop because of the thinner rubber but that's a downfall you'd get with any car. IRS would've virtually eliminated the motion I was talking about.

      @mrkongsimr 10 лет назад

    • @Intechdude300
      @Intechdude300  10 лет назад +8

      While it's easy to look at it that way, there's lots to be had with the Escalade that differentiates it from the Tahoe. An LTZ Tahoe starts around $62K, roughly $10K from a base Escalade, you are still stuck with the weaker 5.3L V8, you don't get magnetic ride control, & you don't get as upscale of an interior along with the presence the Escalade offers.

      Since GM introduced the Yukon Denali and Escalade in the late 90's, all their truck/SUV interiors have been the same. It wasn't until 2007 that they really started changing up body panels, and now 2015 when they started changing up interior. Instead of the same old copy & paste interior I think GM stepped up their game when it comes to the 2015 Escalade. And now the Esclade will come with an 8-speed auto transmission, I think a lot of Range Rover, Infiniti, & Lexus buyers will seriously consider making the switch.

    • @IVEMER
      @IVEMER 10 лет назад

      $75k for a base Escalade sounds over the top
      their fully loaded version would costs $100k
      for $75k or less, imo , get a fully loaded yukon xl denali
      it has the same 6.2l v8 and 4wd like the escalade
      it's the brand that makes it more expensive
      i like escalades, but for the price and power of a v8, yukon ftw

    no IRS, expedition/navigator has IRS and has better towing, this still has that cramped 3rd row, stuttering LCD, column shifter reminds us of some old work trucks, so FORD WINS!
    Oh yeah, you dont buy this to show your wealth, you buy a range rover instead.

    • @KingFeraligator
      @KingFeraligator 9 лет назад +3

      I think what he meant by " You buy this to show your wealth" is that there is no real reason to buy this over a Tahoe/Suburban or Yukon/Yukon XL other than the fact that you CAN.

    • @WheelsRCool
      @WheelsRCool 9 лет назад

      doodskie999 Column shifter is fine. Independent rear suspension used to be inferior due to lack of cargo-carrying capability---it still is overall, hence why pickup trucks and full-size vans still have them. Maybe it gives the Escalade a higher weight carrying capability than the Expedition/Navigator (I don't know how towing relates to a solid rear axle). But for road handling, IRS is better.

    I come from China, I like Cadillac, especially the Escalade, Escalade I liked! Support Escalade! In my eyes, the safety factor safety factor of European and American car than Asian high! I believe that General! I hate Japan, South Korea's auto companies! General gave me the impression that tall and mighty, a sense of security, but Asian car production in Japan and Korea but feel insecure, collision coefficient is far worse than the European and American cars! If I have a lot of money, I would choose the European and American production car, in China, there are many rich people choose European and American cars, this is the advantage of European and American cars, and get more people to choose from! Security, run fast, high stability performance, luxury, luxury, has Europe aristocratic lineage!

      You sound so stupid. This vehicle is the reason why cadillac is still around today. All of their 70 year old customers died off, and it was time to take on the germans, and they did a pretty good job.

    • @starxlr7863
      @starxlr7863 8 лет назад

      Frank Magana Yes your right! This is the only vehicle that I believe is keeping Cadillac around. But personally I would go with the Chevrolet or GMC. Don't get me wrong, it very sharp looking and very well built. GM brought in the Cadillac Escalade because of the different age of buyers. But Cadillac needs to still offer a legendary Cadillac like the Eldorado, Deville or Seville in there lineup. The other new Cadillac cars are not doing well as they were even 10 years ago. Even those older buyers still appreciate a nice big and ultra luxury car and currently Cadillac and Lincoln offer nothing at the moment.
