what i eat in a day changes everyday
i dont eat the same things or amount and i try to eat intuitively
i dont restrict food groups but i do eat largely plant based

Counting all the calories, carbs, fats, protein that I was eating lead me to an eating disorders. It can be really dangerous if you obsess over it. I really think intuitive eating is the best route for most people.
this video made me realize how all my choices are run by diet culture - thank you for reminding me that these small diet changes are bullshit and that we should just take everyday to enjoy what ever food we may be eating

hi erin, i love this!! i used to be so calculative about what i eat but i've been trying to eat intuitively since august and have since then let go of some 'diet rules' that used to constrain me so much. today i had a hearty bowl of sweet potato salad for lunch, banana mug cake as a post-workout snack, and a gooood serving of spinach pizza for dinner and i have nooo regrets

oh my god you don't know how much you've helped me with my relationship with food, just seeing you enjoy it makes me feel so good, im finally getting back on track with just eating whats good for my body and not worrying about the calories or feeling guilty

@@erinrutherford Hey! Trust me, I’m not trying to hate on your content. In this video, you are making healthy choices and eating lower calories dense foods while eating more volume. You are also extremely attractive and appear to be in fantastic shape. However, saying that you are eating whatever you want with no restrictions is sending the wrong message. For most people, they can’t do this. Especially with people with eating disorders. Please keep this in mind.

I know that i am eating what i want whithout restriction and i guess thats all that matters- just dont know how its so hard to belive that food freedom exists! As for low cal foods? Thats a hard no my dude haha- nuts seed, avos, oil, salmon, pasta, bread! I guess you just cant win no matter what you post- but thanks for watching

@@opidasdagoat not always for people who are recovering from ED’s. Someone only eating cucumber all day is not healthy because it’s lacking nutritional value. A lot of people with ED’s look for the least calorie dense foods.
So I was saying it’s nice that she’s showing how to incorporate everything rather than just “health foods.”

You say around the 4 min mark that some people suggest one way of eating, others suggest another etc. etc. but then you go on to say that that proves it's all rubbish? I don't follow the logic here I'm trying my best to understand
My point was they are conflicting points (ie. the opposite) so there is no right or wrong.

@@JamesTaylor117 its not that deep, im just saying some people say its the best thing for you to eat straight away and others say dont eat until later- its not like flat earth at all as one is demonstrably true and the other isnt

Hey! Just started watching your channel. I really enjoy your content.
Dieting sets you up for failure on your weight goals tho, you should never stay on the cycle of dieting on-dieting off. Instead, i recommend you find out what your calorie intake for maintenance of your current weight is, and after knowing that, you can add or reduce your caloric intake by 50-300 max -depending on your goals- to lose or gain weight healthily long term. That way you wouldn't be pushing yourself too hard or setting yourself to failure from the beginning, instead, you would be setting yourself for a lifestyle of healthy weight without restricting yourself.
