- Battlefield 2042 has been experimenting with things and brought back the new Control game mode which is quite different and interesting. Let's play on some new maps. Leave a LIKE and a comment, thanks for watching.

Wow, 2042 has never looked so "Battlefield" I don't think...I'm impressed. I wish they would release their games in this state instead of the dumpster fire we usually get at launch.
An RPG kill from a tornado is actually pretty impressive.
It's literally point at red marker and clicking LMB
Its great how a tornado doesn't effect the rocket in flight at all.
Haha I didn't even think about that. Would be funny if it just sucked up grenades and rockets and they came out somewhere else randomly
Don't worry it also does zero destruction, because there is no destruction.

@@jakobvaden7106 Yea well they made it look like it did in the trailer like Scum bags. They also made it look like destruction was in the game, and months before the game released showed "new technology and destruction" off in a little demo video, many people including myself thought that was them confirming they worked on and implemented destruction in 2042. I pre-ordered 2042 based on these two trailers and videos.
No where was their any clarification that neither of those videos would represent gameplay and gameplay mechanics in the game.
They're Evil. Including the Devs who didn't leave in protest. (Many did leave)

The tornado was a good idea and definitely changed it up, think that's the only decent thing to come out of the game
Would've been better had they not been lazy by throwing it in damn near every map. It's in Discarded, Hourglass, Kaleidoscope, Manifest, Orbital, Renewal, Stranded. It makes it less unique. The only unique thing about it is they look a bit different.
They once made a game where every map had a different levolution event. Ahhhh the days when Dice were still a competent developer. @@vfxswagg1337

That's not the only decent thing. If this game had better feeling gunplay, better destruction, better optimization, and no operators, it'd be really good.

6:15 for BF 2042 thats about the most destruction your going to get besides a few exceptions with vehicles. Dice needs to step it up, I want to see that building leveled when hit with an rpg.
You clearly haven’t played BF42, then. 😂 It has semi decent destruction. Some odd missiles do amazing damage. The 6 Missiles from the Ram, all the air rocket pods, and the barrage missiles. They just toned down the infantry destruction capability. When, you are old enough to play the game for yourself. You might understand how the game works. 🙂
@@JoeyMx thanks for informing me about this. I agree with you that it has decent destruction but a lot less than some of the previous games.

Jack! Movie tip regarding modern weapons in old settings! Zack Snyder made a movie called Sucker Punch in 2011 that uses that exact idea you were talking about.
As you can imagine it's just a "turn off your brain and enjoy action" kind of movie. It's actually about a group of escort girls trying to escape where they're being kept and every major part of their escape plan is being presented in the way of them basically killing a boss in a different world.
If I remember correctly, they go to a steampunk WW2, some sort of medieval fantasy world with orcs and dragons, feudal Japan and a futuristic robotic world, all while equipped with modern weapons and tools.
Actually not a bad movie!

Control is imo the best big gamemode they have come up with for a long time, and should return as a base gamemode for the next game, + Shutdown!

Control has become one of my favorite gamemod, so many possibilities whether in 12vs12 or 24vs24, the BF2042 maps are so big that I think there could be 3 Control maps in 1 map, like Manifest in think. And, BFBC2 maps on Control are great to play.
Hate that they removed the jets on some of these maps.

Just redownloaded 2042 after playing cod since it’s release.. what an adjustment lol I forgot how much I enjoyed the slow realistic pace of bf.. breath of fresh air
BF2042 is slow and realistic? The game is on the threshold of completely arcade-like

Aw man so many hits missed with this game. Dont get me wromg ive supported it alot but it just felt short in so many areas. It has descent fun but when i play something like BF4 or Hardline the missing parts stick out like a sore thumb. Hopefully the next one is the complete opposite and they fucking nail it like i really do.
The new mode is cool. Like Jack said, it helps fix the ring around the rosy effect of Conquest.
I didn't know there was DLC for Elden Ring coming out. I haven't played it so it will be great to have that addition once I play it.

Not sure if you are interested in anime but there was an anime released not too long ago with that exact premise of modern army vs swords/bows with a little bit of fantasy mixed in as well, its called GATE and i really recommend it if you have any interest in that sort of thing.
I went back and played bf4 and was awed by what a masterpiece a 10+ year old game is, the graphics, audio, and general atmosphere of maps, characters, weapons is something we haven’t seen since it’s release. No game comes close. This cartoon first person game named Battlefield 2042 is a joke to gaming and the battlefield franchise.
The only in Battlefield moments in this one are insane 🤩🥰

I do vaguely remember a movie where a modern battleship got sent back to WWII. It was a few years ago, maybe late '80s or so, I can't really remember the details. But, it was a thing.

they did put control on arica harbor at some point. control is the best mode in the game, love the chaos of it. they added breakaway and discarded time around. m5 w suppressor was clutchhhhhhh

the beginning of orbital when the rocket blows up is very cinematic and the first time it happened i was like ok wow that was actually pretty awesome if they just added more major destruction elements to the game it would be really good game its really nothing compared to what it was at launch

Oh I really liked that game mode, I haven't played 2042 much lately been doing other non gaming stuff and playing bf1 here and there, I guess I got to hop on and play this mode
I like disruption as a DM alternative too. These two game modes do something new like operations did - i would have liked operations in bf2042 as well. Since there is "some" lore happeneing operations could have been a way to do that in game.

What rifle and setup is that your using in the first few min of the video? It has like almost no recoil.
It's the first weapon in the Assault Rifle category, the M5A3, with the ammo slot switched to pistol rounds, that's why the lower recoil. I think it's the only rifle where you can change its caliber.

They had this mode available at one point for almost the entire holiday season and the servers were dead for west coast NA
DICE definitely nerfed the grappling hook it used to go farther I’m 99% sure
BF2042 was on sale on steam till Feb 20 for 7 USD. wonder if that'll increase the player count.

Battlefield needs to look at its identity again. Better destruction, building weapons/ obstacles needs to come back.
Behemoths were Awesome fun and re introduce air and water warfare.
