Lucy is just one of my absolute favourite athletes. She’s so warm-harterd, open minded and positive. She’s an absolute role model. Please continue supporting her @salomon.
Just finished through-hiking the trail. It is the most rugged, brutal, hostile environment I have ever hiked in. To run it in one go is just inconceivable. Amazing effort, Lucy!
I’ve just gotten into trail running as a 42 year old, next step for me is ultras, this doco was so inspiring, I’m so glad that I have chosen to be apart of this sport. Lucy you’re amazing, I take my hat off to you.
I'm less than 10 minutes in and the editing/filming style is so spastic. I LOVE it! I feel like this is totally catering to how I approach things. A little bit all over the place but completely gung ho and in it till the bitter end. Lucy is about 10 years younger than me but her vision resonates and truly inspires me. Do more not less.
Very inspiring Lucy and crew and thank you. Loved your words about your dad. My little girl walked/ran with me and did the City to Surf in Sydney completely under her own steam - no carrying - when she was 2. Such a tough, determined little bugger. A few months later, my son and I did Tongariro Crossing when he was 4. Now 11 and 13, both kids reflect on these amazing efforts of theirs and have a sense of what type of "animal" they are. You know what kind of amazing "animal" you are and that's a wonderful thing to know, and rare. The sky really is your limit because you aren't burdened with the self-limits most of us carry. That's my brilliant summary anyway... 🙂 Cheers and big thanks from Sydney - Dave
Simply amazing seeing how Lucy battles with her inner demons and pushes through. And the physical pain. My god what an epic journey. Thank you very much for sharing.
Loved every second of this! Beautifully shot and edited, and Lucy is just awesome. Tough as nails yet open and vulnerable at the same time in some magic combination that just creates miracles.
Love this, Lucy is such an inspiration, and I love that she chose Larapinta to showcase how amazing Australia and the community is. Well done team, awesome stuff!
my brother Brad did this race last year, got 4th place(retired) but collapsed 11km short of the finish line at 59hrs. he would of just made it within the race deadline of 60hrs. Well done young lady. i know the level of dedication and training that goes into this after seeing how much my brother put into this.
Was so excited to find this after seeing the trailer some months ago. Thank you for taking us along on the journey and for showing all of the highs and lows!
Amazing this was a video I just saw a watched right away. Lucy you are amazing and inspiring. Your relationship with your dad is so cool and a blessing. Hope to see more videos of you and your journey
Wow...what an amazing film. Super impressed with the quality of the footage and filming considering the arduous nature of the journey. And Lucy...what an incredible athlete. All the more fascinating that we are similar ages too. More like this please!
Thanks to Salomon for sharing this and supporting Lucys plan! congrats Lucy, I don’t know how you can do this!! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 Glad you made it, but that sounded pretty dangerous at times☺️ maybe a more active support team or a team separate from the videographers/photographers. just be careful!
@@lucybartholomewruns your connection with the film/run crew made this even more interesting, if that was possible. Incredible doco. Love it. You're so inspiring!
Awesome gritty Great raw footage and well put together doco , D’ bo added to it nicely too. Even with all the detours You still got the Fkt , Perhaps seeing Skelleton’s helped with that 😂 Congrats Lucy and crew Well done all !.
I'm so impressed, and understand a little of what she went thru, including getting lost on the trail, hallucinating, serious thirst, etc. We all loved watching the little girl running Lucy to the finish, the next generation ultrarunner.
What a great story! Lucy is an inspiration. I bet that little girl who finished with her will never forget the experience. Who knows what she may do someday :)
I just loved watching you and the whole process. What an incredible mindset and achievement! I did shed a tear or two watching your story 🙏🏻 Also loved the whole filming and editing. Great job all around. Best of luck for what’s to come! 🙌
That is incredible. So strong! We get to see you leave and return to the next camp but you’re out there in the pitch black navigating cliffs for hours on end. Very surprised you could make it back after 7 hours in deep dehydration. So so tough. Very inspiring stuff and reminds me we can do so much if we commit and have heart. Added to my favourites to watch the night before next trail race. Plus crew did a great job and it was beautifully filmed.
que bonita reflexion que bonita es la vida y la manera de que lo material siempre se puede reponer .El estar unidos quererse y ver las cosas de la misma forma es por lo que hay que luchar en la vida .Asi las penas son menos
I love watching this young lady complete and enjoy so much what she is doing and what she means to and contributes to the athletic community. Next time she does something like this she needs a separate film crew from support crew. If she needs someone to crew she can call me any time and I will be there. She deserves everything she needs and wants. Kudos Lucy … you are a rock star
@@lucybartholomewruns Hey Lucy. Thank you for taking the time to reply. I am a big Salomon fan!! And what you achieved was mind blowing....I loved the video, which i could have watched for a lot longer, it was great to see the support from your family and friends, ☺️. I'm a little older than you and a little late to the trail running world. Wish I started a lot younger. Keep up the great work, keep safe and keep running. Oh, try using Garmin, so you don't add the extra km's, 😂
Nice documentary! Such a strong girl! I enjoyed this. If they had planned the sections a bit better, with more food and more water though. Didnt understand why she ran so long stretches without having enough. Well, more kudos to her for finishing
Chapeaux Lucy, what an epic effort. I walked it over 12 days several years ago (day walking only) and the rocks and harsh trails absolutely destroyed my walking boots. I can’t imagine how your feet coped. You’re amazing. Well done to your backup team too. 🎉👍🏼
Love this Lucy. Especially the bit when you feel way out of your depth. Just about to do a 6 day race when I'm scared walking down the street. ♥️ Your soul. ♥️Your power!

Val D'Aran CDH 105km next month. Can't wait! Just picked up a pair of Pulsar GS's to run the race in 🙌
My next BIG challenge: the Stelling van Amsterdam! Big 3/4 of a circle, 140 km long, passing more than 20 forts and fortifications!
