What other people are blabbering about for hours on youtube, you have made it precise, easy and understandable in just over 5 mins. Thank You! (See how I use Alignment, proximity, and white space in that one comment? lol)
This video made me realise that i want to be a graphic designer. All these tips are exactly the way i automatically think when im creating a presentation
I already have a graduate degree in nutrition yet creating flyers, educational handouts, and presentations for clients and students made me realize I really enjoy these aspects of graphic design. Perhaps in my next life I'll be a graphic designer.
Every element of these videos are so well done! As a designer, this makes me want to share this with the people I work closely with that don't have the designer role, so they can get a better understanding of the work I do, the attention to detail I give, and why it all matters. Great work, and thank you!
I have a degree in graphic design and used this series as a little refresher to keep me sharp. This series is very well done. It never hurts to keep the basics in mind.
note for self: Five basic principles for layout and composition: 1. Proximity: grouping related items together to make it easier to understand at a glance 2. White Space: negative space; help define and separate different section 3. Alignment: if things are aligned, it makes the composition easier to navigate 4. Contrast: to catch the reader's eye, create emphasis. use color, size, shape, visual weight, or styles of text 5. Hierarchy: make important items more eye-catching 6. Repetition: things should have a consistent look and feel
I love all your "Beginning Graphic Design" videos. It's easier to understand the basic elements of design. The colors used in the video are not overwhelming. I love the narration, it perfectly fits what is shown in the video. I can tell how much work the people behind this did. Kudos to all of you.
As someone who works as a web designer full time for several years now I didn't really expect much watching this. But it is actually well explained, short and I think fantastic for beginners.
Thank you so much for this! This really helps me a lot! I may be no graphic designer but I am a high school student sick of passing sucky brochures, posters, and presentations that give me failing marks. Thank you for making the complex graphic design stuff all across the internet easier to understand for people like me 😊
I personally ever saw a perfect & the most easiest presentation on Design! As a Designer, this video always makes me feel Happy & provides me a Happy Sleep! Thankyou so much guys from The Bottom of My Heart!☺️😊👍👌
Beginning Graphic Design series are the best thing i've ever seen. I keep turning back to these vids when i need help for my art work assignment! easy, clear and short, and fun to watch!
Every time I watch a good video/animation made in After Effects, I think, "Man! I need to learn After Effects!" Then I remember what a challenge that is and that I don't have the time currently. Very nice set of videos made in AE you guys have done. "One Long Strand of Pasta, $32"
Having jumped into "Layout and Design" for a school class, it's nice to know that I got most things right! My use of hierarchy could use some more improvement, but thanks to your team I now know! Thanks for these wonderfully informative, and concise videos!
these videos are relaxing... layout, to composition, color selection, music, narration, tone... Everything on point.... I can mediate listening to such soothing music and voice
Thanks for these videos. I want to be a graphic designer when I grow up, and these help me to get a kick start. I have seen other videos trying to explain the same stuff, but they didn't get the point across as well as you do. Keep up the amazing work.
studying for creative digital media exam and your video makes it so much easier to understand than the lectures from collage. Thanks a lot for the video!!
The is the best video, where every detail and words give value. It's amazing. Like they say: If I Had More Time, I Would Have Written a Shorter Letter.
I love these videos! I've been doing social media posts for my freelance business and my church and these have been helping me a lot. Things I've been doing that I didn't have terms for / didn't know how to explain to others that are doing social media posts for the church are getting explained! These videos are super informative and I even have fun watching them! I love catching little things, like the "One Long Strand of Pasta" bit. LOL. Thank you for these!
Best video about graphic design in internet.(videos on Colour, image, text is also very informative and easily understandable) Thank you , and keep posting
Wanted to thank you for your awesome "beginner" videos. As someone who's looking to pursue a major in graphic design, I found this extremely helpful and easy to watch. Keep up the awesome work!
I like the style of this channel. Simple, modern and using the correct or perfect colour palette for the channel. This helped to make my profile picture. The pictures isn't that vibrant or that saturated. Thank You! 🙂
Thank you thank you THANK YOU for giving some actual, concrete principles to follow. I've tried to find lots of videos and texts on the subject of good graphic design that I could apply to video game user interface design, but nearly all of theme never get to the conrete material and instead keep repeating the same cliches of good interface being "intuitive" and "unobtrusive" with no clear illustration or examples of how to actually achieve this.
Drop-in from gamedev industry, thank you so much for these... I guess it takes a TON of time, experience and knowledge to put such a rich in detail and knowledge video and animations together. Thanks a million!!!
short but very informative and precise. i just started watching your videos and i find it very useful, even though it's the simplest things i know of, I hope you do more of these with a variety of topics and it would be really helpful if you could do tutorials on tools / apps / frameworks / trends for beginner's to use in reponsive web design.
I've just written down for memorying: 1. Proximity: groups of element 2. White Space: separate different section 3. Alignment: readable, hierachy 4. Contrast: recognize each part 5. Repetition: loyal with determined color palette and Font
thank you @GCFLearnFree.org helped me a lot in understanding the very basics to be a graphic designer. all the best for your upcoming works. Hoping to find more interesting and informative videos in the coming future.
