Hi ike, I just wanted to let you know that because of you, I've restarted taking vocal lessons. Back when I was in school, I used to study vocal music because I loved singing so much. However, after that, due to heavy academic workload and life pressures, I gave up on vocal training. I abandoned my dream of pursuing singing. Although now I have grown up and have a job, I never thought I would start singing again before I met you. You've always encouraged everyone to give singing a try and not to give up on it. So, I gathered the courage to pick up my dream again. Even though I don't seem to have much talent in singing, I still feel happy when I sing. Thank you so much for everything you've done for me. Personally, the song itself felt quite deep. Not being brave enough to make that step but neither to brave enough to end everything. Not unlucky enough but neither lucky enough. Watching everything lead to an unwanted ending but not doing anything to stop it. Stuck between decisions and wonder if this is just the way that was meant to be. Enduring everything and understanding that life is just like this but still hoping for a better ending. Be the person you choose to be and the way you choose to succeed, life is too short to grief.

The meaning of this song, it's too personal. It is exactly what i'm going through. As for the solution.... i don't have it. There is so much i could do, but would it ultimately be worth it at all? I could do one thing, but what is to say that the other isn't better? I could do the most practical thing and commit myself to the job of my choosing, but wouldn't i then loose what makes me me, a person more so than a biological machine? I could commit to doing what i like, but wouldn't that leave me utterly useless? I could commit to an artform for self expression, but wouldn't i then be the same as so many others, enjoyed, but ultimately not remembered? What is the right path to choose? How do i know that it will fulfill me? I don't know....

However, something I wanted to say is that life itself does not have a purpose, but instead, the one who is living it creates the purpose. No one can be forever remembered and when someone passes away, their life, whether meaningful or not, whether the choices were correct or not, can be put into simple words (e.g. "They dropped out of college and worked at a barbers shop, married at 25 and passed away two years ago, what a pity"). You yourself will have to be the one to know the exciting story behind the plain words. Just like no one will be remembered forever, neither their choices being right or wrong will be remembered. The point of life is that you never know what happens and everything is random or unexpected, it would be very boring and painful if you knew the ending to everything, wouldn't it? Nothing is completely right or wrong and if you did what you could, that is enough. We all know that death is the ending then why not try to plot your own story before it happens? This world will be full of hope one day and I wish the very best to you being the novelist of your own life.

It feels like there is a deeper meaning here.. both this song and Chronos are about being helpless as time advances, and being afraid to end the pain while also fearing what may happen if you attempted to reach out for help. I may be reading too much into it, but... if i'm not, know you aren't alone, Ike. It may feel hopeless- but as shown in the end of the video here, freedom can be grasped so long as one can take the first step to recovery. It'll be okay. We won't abandon you to that prison- we'll remain by your side through thick and thin. If anything horrible is happening in your life, or anyone's here for that matter.. just remember the darkest nights always lead to the brightest sunrises. The fact that Ike himself was behind every step of the making of the song makes it one of the most impressive pieces of work I've ever heard from a VTuber...and the overall quality makes it the most impressive thing I've ever heard from any solo artist in recent memory. And I won't even mention the fact that I myself have been through the songwriting process more than 300 times over a span of more than 8 years, yet all of the products of every repetition of that cycle combined don't even hold a candle to this.

This piece is incredibly powerful, I hadn't notice that Ike was the one to compose and create the lyrics for it -- and I couldn't help but want to express the affections that I've felt throughout this five minutes. The power in Ike's voice is, of course, an extremely important aspect to the experience -- but more for me was the lyrics, the composition itself. The initial strings that filter into the rock style, the calm to the chaos. My interpretations are perhaps over analysis of the overall piece, but nonetheless one that I wanted to express -- initially is the feeling of creeping dread, as anxiety usually comes in. The tightening of the chest and the body reacting the mind is typically felt but not visible, as most emotions are. The blue light of the screens do feel quite blinding many times, staining our eyes with light that was never meant to be used for, and the shackles of the creeping symptoms of imposter syndrome pulling in. The point that got me to tear up silently, was the very end. The lack of completion, because for Ike, there is no written ending. As true to his position as a novelist, one's story isn't prewritten, it's filled with the experiences, emotions, cognitions, and all other senses that we feel as humans throughout our life. The endless dread and anxiety will always be there, unfortunately, however it's up to the individual to see if one is willing to find peace with it. Be proud, keep your chin up, and express who you are most comfortable being -- because when one sees others in a comfortable position, one can't help but feel the same sense of comfort in their own way. Hi ike, I just wanted to let you know that because of you, I've restarted taking vocal lessons. Back when I was in school, I used to study vocal music because I loved singing so much. However, after that, due to heavy academic workload and life pressures, I gave up on vocal training. I abandoned my dream of pursuing singing.
Although now I have grown up and have a job, I never thought I would start singing again before I met you. You've always encouraged everyone to give singing a try and not to give up on it. So, I gathered the courage to pick up my dream again.
Even though I don't seem to have much talent in singing, I still feel happy when I sing.

Personally, the song itself felt quite deep. Not being brave enough to make that step but neither to brave enough to end everything. Not unlucky enough but neither lucky enough. Watching everything lead to an unwanted ending but not doing anything to stop it. Stuck between decisions and wonder if this is just the way that was meant to be. Enduring everything and understanding that life is just like this but still hoping for a better ending.

The meaning of this song, it's too personal. It is exactly what i'm going through. As for the solution.... i don't have it. There is so much i could do, but would it ultimately be worth it at all? I could do one thing, but what is to say that the other isn't better? I could do the most practical thing and commit myself to the job of my choosing, but wouldn't i then loose what makes me me, a person more so than a biological machine? I could commit to doing what i like, but wouldn't that leave me utterly useless? I could commit to an artform for self expression, but wouldn't i then be the same as so many others, enjoyed, but ultimately not remembered? What is the right path to choose? How do i know that it will fulfill me? I don't know....

However, something I wanted to say is that life itself does not have a purpose, but instead, the one who is living it creates the purpose. No one can be forever remembered and when someone passes away, their life, whether meaningful or not, whether the choices were correct or not, can be put into simple words (e.g. "They dropped out of college and worked at a barbers shop, married at 25 and passed away two years ago, what a pity"). You yourself will have to be the one to know the exciting story behind the plain words. Just like no one will be remembered forever, neither their choices being right or wrong will be remembered. The point of life is that you never know what happens and everything is random or unexpected, it would be very boring and painful if you knew the ending to everything, wouldn't it? Nothing is completely right or wrong and if you did what you could, that is enough. We all know that death is the ending then why not try to plot your own story before it happens? This world will be full of hope one day and I wish the very best to you being the novelist of your own life.

the emotion ike carries in his voice is unlike anyone else ive heard. like it’s so raw and real that i find myself getting chills or feeling emotional without fail. everytime he sings it’s like he’s telling a story.

I wonder if you lived in a heavy depression, on a constant internal emptiness, if the days passed and you were unable to feel enthusiasm for life or pleasure for things you liked. I'm just wondering, there are just my assumptions.
Whatever, I'd like to tell you I still feel that way sometimes, but even that you still manage to make me smile, laugh and have good moments. Sometimes I just listen to songs from your first karaoke, and I feel better because your voice transmits me warmth and calms me down (screams too, I sleep listening to metalcore so...).

This piece is incredibly powerful, I hadn't notice that Ike was the one to compose and create the lyrics for it -- and I couldn't help but want to express the affections that I've felt throughout this five minutes. The power in Ike's voice is, of course, an extremely important aspect to the experience -- but more for me was the lyrics, the composition itself. The initial strings that filter into the rock style, the calm to the chaos. My interpretations are perhaps over analysis of the overall piece, but nonetheless one that I wanted to express -- initially is the feeling of creeping dread, as anxiety usually comes in. The tightening of the chest and the body reacting the mind is typically felt but not visible, as most emotions are. The blue light of the screens do feel quite blinding many times, staining our eyes with light that was never meant to be used for, and the shackles of the creeping symptoms of imposter syndrome pulling in.
The point that got me to tear up silently, was the very end. The lack of completion, because for Ike, there is no written ending. As true to his position as a novelist, one's story isn't prewritten, it's filled with the experiences, emotions, cognitions, and all other senses that we feel as humans throughout our life. The endless dread and anxiety will always be there, unfortunately, however it's up to the individual to see if one is willing to find peace with it. Be proud, keep your chin up, and express who you are most comfortable being -- because when one sees others in a comfortable position, one can't help but feel the same sense of comfort in their own way.

Legit one of my favorite songs ever now, the mixing is IMMACULATE, the singing is perfect and super melodic, the guitar, bass and drums sound so fucking powerful (+ the playing is amazing), and the song is very emotional with just enough variety and that half time legit made me cry

Ikey, I think you are a wonderful and talented man. The song is so good… but the lyrics… I was feeling like that 3 years ago. Now, I overcame severe depression and I'm controlling my anxiety really well. I found my purpose in this world and even if there’s negative points in everything, there are also good point on everything and everyone 'cause that’s how life is. If it was perfectly fine we wouldn’t be brave, empathetic, humble, or even intelligent. I changed the title of my past. It was "trauma" but now is "experience". I'm really happy now, Ikey. And I know that you’ll feel like this one day. Keep working hard. Keep getting out of your comfort zone. Put your time and energy in stuff that are REALLY worth it. You won’t see the rainbow right away, sweetheart. It will take a while, maybe more or less than my experience. But it will come, Ikey. I thought it wouldn’t but it did 'cause I decided to keep living, 'cause I kept working hard and did things the right way. We love you, Ikey. We really do!
