Completely honestly it's based on your perspective I suppose. Pure black interior with different shades of black looks absolutely gorgeous to me and it's damn easy to maintain while the nice looking interiors on the first day (light ones) soil easily :(

YUP! Had a lovely Lexus with light coloured Leather interior. Nightmare to maintain compared to my latest car with black trim.
couldn't agree more. i just bought the car and i really like how easy you can clean the surface of the dash etc. this was a nightmare with my old cars (opel and ford). and every passenger is just impressed with the huge touch screen - very easy to use btw.
That's why I always wear dark underpants, so you can't see when I've soiled them.
The car cost 18.000£ you cant expect it to have 35.000£ features n quality

Just bought a 2018 Dynamique S Nav petrol auto. Very pleased with the car..traded my Guilietta 1.4 petrol turbo which I had for 4 years & loved it..just wanted something newer & not so hard riding. Also a car that looks good. Surprised how nippy it is & the auto box is fine! Very quiet & smooth. Yes, the steering could be sharper ( Guilietta was great) but with the state of the English roads & amount of traffic I personally don't find it a problem. It's easier to manouver in tight spots anyway!
Interior is good enough..not bothered about rear seat room or boot space as its only my wife & I driving the car.
The car is in a gorgeous kind of metallic airforce blue with 18" dark grey alloys. I reckon its the best looking hatchback out there at the moment! But..each to their own!
We used to own this car, sadly we crashed on ice 2 months ago.. I do recommend Megane, it is truly a beautiful and a comfortable car, that drives very well.. It does even get the sporty feel that other cars lack.. If you're considering Megane, I say go for it
I just picked up a low mileage GT wagon. I thought I'd made a poor choice straight after purchase as I was also looking at an mx5! But after a couple days I'm happy, it's a beautiful car, perfect for what we need also
Meg's full name is Megatron.
Drove the Irish spec Megane GT line 1.6dci 130hp; not having driven a renault in years I actually thought the gear change was nice and sharp. The steering was also good, in sport mode felt weightier than the astra equivalent and the 1.6dci was a beautiful engine, especially over 2000rpm; a little tad of low down turbo lag but then pulls like a train and really quiet and smooth. I'd honestly consider it to buy if the price was right
I quite like the portrait design of the touchscreen.
I still have my 2006 Megane, 2.0l petrol, and I wouldnt swap it for much on the new market. Probably the biggest difference is that mpg, 59 mpg on those roads is very impressive.
Amazing car. The styling is not over the top like Hyundais, it's a little more restrained but very detailed and sharp. Elegant and sporty

i dont think the i30 is over the top :D i see a honda civic on this kind off over the top designs
Fiat tipo is the best looking imo but interior is poor compared to the meganne
@@George-nv1ri yeah i have the megane the interior is nice but i mean from that point of badass over the top design i see the civic that means not that i think it is a good looking car you know ?
@@arnodorian5527 yeah honda civic is too much, in the uk even the cheapest used meganne is £10k wjere as you can buy a tipo for £5k currently, i do prefer the renault though

And how do you open the gas tank ? I tried to look in the manual and it pointed to a button that this Megane doesn't have!!!

Do these Electric Parking Brakes automatically release when you attempt to drive away? And if so, does it work in all manufactures?

1.5DCi easily gets to 70mpg.. my wife averaged (inc the school run for 2 years) over 65mpg during the time she had a Mercdes CLA180D.. same 1.5Dci.
Hey Mat, can we conserve you? So you never get old? Even for me as a German, you are doing a great job, you are presenting it in style and fun at the same time with the right information on the spot. Also I age wise, we are around the same and my fiancee whom does not has an interest in cars at all, likes your reviews and in deep reviews
How about GT version? It has 205 bhp motor from Clio RS, it should be a good car? Any downsides?
The car is stunning on the outside to say the least and I never liked renaults in the past but loved the R26R, RS and cc.
5:28 That is only in the countries with the steering wheel in the right. My mother's Renault Megane has a big glove box because the fuses are in the left of the car, so, it's only in your country, in the rest that's not a problem

Hey Matt and team, you have the best reviews ever! Sad its only for the UK, but I love them anyway! Now here is a tip which this video proves a lot better than any other... When you talk about the fuel economy you are doing that after all the testing, you have been flooring and throwing the car around and everything that is not really efficient... Maybe you should reset the trip computers and do some fuel efficient driving before giving out the mileage/economy... When you showed the driving whatever page of the onboard system it was only giving you 4x/100, I normally do 95/100 on a Renault system... So there is a lot of room to improve and it doesn't hurt the manufacturers who right now look like they lie all the time. In fact, my fuel economy is actually better than advertised for a Brazilian model Renault Sandero 1.6 15/15 (yes, it's sold as Dacia in some places).

You can't get the engine sound app for the Megane IV.

Can't wait for the RS version. That's gonna be a beast. 4 wheel steering, 300+ hp, the usual best-in-the-world FWD chassis that RS is known for, etc. I just hope they stick with a manual gearbox.

yes! that chassis really needs a 300+ hp engine, hope they don't make it too heavy like Focus RS

in australia, if you the gt line, you can get the colour matching interior as the colour of the exterior
Very well priced car, you can have the gt line package for a very reasonable price and looks stunning, not a fan of the front headlights though, waiting for the restyling and a more powerful diesel engine.

Do you hear alot of noise inside of the car from the road? I drive a renault megane 2012 and it lets in alot of noise from the road. Which is annoying.

The Renault Clio is #2 in Europe and Renault is 2nd bestseller in Europe in 2017. Clio easily outsells the polo and took lead of the segment ytd.Even scenic outsells touran. So even though vw s may be lovely cars others can outsell them due to usps.Not all vows are the best: evident in car sales stats 2017

Am I the only portuguese here that is sick tired of Megane. I am seriously starting to think that there are more Meganes in Portugal than actual people!
And when Portuguese emigrate to France they only buy Audis, while the ones who stay in Portugal only buy Meganes and 308's.

Really stands out with good looking design, the older Megane (from 2010 or smth) was really bland and forgettable with diesel being only decent engine, with cheaper materials inside and also some weird choice of cloth lining that was magnet for dust, hair, gravel etc. This one however feels that it can really give a kick to those KIAś and Hyundais in terms of warranty, design and value for money. Because I think that a person who always favors Golf or Focus is going to buy a new model from the same line and those who are considering options are the ones who opted for Korean-Japanese brands lately.
To me, its body design rubs the shoulders to A class and Golf! The only point to be improved is the graphic and the shape of the display on dashboard. well done Renault.
