I grew up listening to the original but never really paid attention to the lyrics in depth. Ronnie make you feel the pain of each word cutting deep into the soul. It's like Papa Roach made the song when we were angry teens, Ronnie did it for us who are broken adults. Definitely hits hard, but I love the sentiment that even though you feel life is crumbling down around you, we have it within us to REBUILD!! Powerful!

This song touched in a way I never thought it could!
The video was a direct continuation to Watch the World Burn… My interpretation is that Ronnie was the only person left after lighting the world on fire, and the grey city was the wasteland in the aftermath! This song and the lyrics were about reflecting on what he had done and how he handled everything… he wasn’t/isn’t alright, and he put the world back together after realizing he was wrong… his last resort was to set the world on fire, and he regretted it, so he put it back… that is why the final imagery was the exact opposite of WTWB… and some have said that the world was “Falling in Reverse” when it was being put back together.
I love that you said the screaming was him letting it all go cause that ties directly into how I felt about the imagery in the video!

I want to see this song turned into a contemporary dance. It would be so powerful and moving. This song gives me chills and goosebumps. I found it the next morning after I woke up after hearing the news of my cousin committing suicide, and I cant stop listening to it now. An awesome detail that I feel goes unseen is that the statues slowly become more and more reanimated. Almost representing that you feel stuck, dead inside, barely moving/breathing but as you heal, you slowly come back to life again…

Ronnie is absolutely phenomenal. I didn’t think the original could be turned into something this beautiful. And I am a huge fan of the original. This version hits different 🖤
I think Ronnie gives the text the right, worthy framework. The Papa Roach version is too rocky for the seriousness of the lyrics. That's exactly what Ronnie gets from this song, the pain and the struggle with and against evil thoughts. I keep hearing this song and it always gives me goosebumps. Surely only people who have psychological problems and fight against their demons on a daily basis can understand this. How often her world collapses and threatens to bury her. How many times do you think, "I can't go on like this" and fight your way out, only to find, over and over again, "Nothing's okay". But they still fight on every day. They resist to be buried under their collapsing world.
I understand what he was trying to do but.. for me papa roach if you need a music video to show what you are saying idk i can’t jam it on my headphone!!!
