Aragon produce some really nice watches and have such a vast range of designs. Their prices are ridic sometimes and fluctuate so much with all sorts of sales. I wasn't aware they sold the Android trademark name to Google. I'm glad they went under the giant 44mm/50mm pieces and produce more 42mm pieces. Nice review 🫶🏽 that dive master certainly is attractive.
Thank you so much for commenting! Yes, they have this approach to marketing where they inflate the MSRP, in order to make the “discounts” look even more appealing, which, together with the big sizes drew some derogatory comparisons to Invicta. However all their designs are as original as any and if they fit someone’s style they are simply unbeatable value.
I have a couple of the ANDROID Hercules (44mm Tungsten case/bezel/bracelet) AD726 watches, one with a blue dial, the other with a dark grey dial. The chrome like finish on the Tungsten, like the sapphire crystal, does not scratch. These watches are over a decade old...and they have no scratches save for the stainless steel clasp on the Tungsten bracelet. Powered by NH35A movements, both watches are practically indestructible. That being said...they are heavy. Really heavy. Like "a brick" heavy. OK...I have 8 in wrists and this doesn't bother me at all...but for some it may be a downside. I even have the same watch in 48mm. (AD725 with purple face)..which still fits my wrist...but that one provides a bit of a workout.
Thank you for commenting! I bought the watch a few months ago. If you're keen on MOP dials, I think you might wanna check out Signum watches. Good luck!
@@themicrobrandexpert no, I'm not a big fan of MOP but the Divemaster 42 you have there really caught my interest. I hope they restock it. Thanks for replying.
You’re obviously right and I have to apologise, but being new at this makes me sometimes overlook such important aspects. All I can say is I’m trying to improve with each published video and, hopefully, future reviews will look better. Thank you, once again, for your feedback!
I just love Wings designs and have been collecting a few models for about 30 years he never ceases to amaze and you really have a difficult time finding a better value for your money This Dive Master series is my most recent favorite due to the fact I just don't wear the oversized watches these days but I do like the feeling of a tank built tool watch I've been giving serious thought to changing the dial and hands on mine Anyways Thanks for sharing my friend Always enjoy your content 👍
Nice, doesn't look like a sales pitch. Yeah, I have a dozen+ of Aragon watches. Bought most of them before the EU tax was introduced. No better value for money out there. Aragon's strength are bracelets, except the gliding clasp which is weak. This is a real brand founded in 20th century under the name Android (Wing made some money selling the rights to Google), and unlike many other small brands, you can actually wear these watches in salt water. If you run a strong magnet against the bracelet, you will notice no interaction, proving even the pins are stainless steel. I am surprised that the watch you got doesn't have blue Aragon rotor. Maybe that's why it was $215?
haha, these days it is a compliment. You can't find a review that isn't paid in this or that way. Aragon changed their game 1.5 years ago, introducing smaller watches, as you noticed yourself. The latest is EVO 40mm/13mm Automatic, released few weeks ago. That's a complete 180 degrees turn. Regeneron 43mm is also great. Hercules 43mm (my favorite). Lots of 42mm divers. @@themicrobrandexpert
Aragon 50mm may not be for everyone but it is for me now not only do I have one but I want another with a rubber strap. Down the road I may start a small collection give them as gifts Thanks for the video love that mother of pearl in blue
Very well reviewed!! I bumped into this brand accidentally while surfing videos. And after a bit of research pulled the trigger on the first one, went with MOP Titanium Swiss. This sapphire bezel and mop dial execution is truly gorgeous, I am planning this next!! How's been the performance of Ronda R150 for you? Accuracy wise?
Thank you so much! Aragon watches, if the style appeals to you, are some of the best value timepieces out there and I am amazed at the rate they’re releasing new models. Unfortunately, I had to sell the DM42 to finance other purchases, but in the 3 months I have spent with it I have no negative things to talk about concerning the R150. If anything, I would say it’s rather similar to the 9 series Miyota than the SW200, as its winding action is not coarse at all. Of course, being a new watch, it was fast by about 15 seconds a day.
@@themicrobrandexpert most of the designs offered by Aragon and a bit too large. Even 45mm(the one I ordered) would be a bit too large for me. Dive Master 42 is the most practical watch and size available, that's what I believe. I was initially planning a Citizen Titanium Diver with series 9 movement, drifting to Aragons because of the tempting prices and premium materials. Loved your channel .. subscribed :)
Thank you for both the nice words and for subscribing - it means a lot, really! I believe there’s enormous potential in the microbrands. I might be partial to them, as I like doing research (to showcase the fruit of that research is why I started this channel in the first place), but the downsides to it are not being able to handle them prior to purchasing and, to be honest, quite poor resale value. I hope I’ll be able to give you a few left field options through my uploads!
I own this watch, the variant with day/date, black dial, black bezel, orange minute hand; powered by the NH36A. I did upgrade the strap to a MAIKES full leather/white-stitched strap with silver deployment clasp. The watch cost me around $150 almost 3 years ago. It's one of my favorite looking watches...and I own quite a few. From luxury (e.g. Rolex Sub (16613), Glashutte Senator)...to a myriad of Android/Aragon, Cronos, Addiesdive, Steeldive (1953, 1964, 1957, 1975XP, 1970) and other AliExpress watches. Most with SI movements (NH35A/NH36A)...also Valjoux 7750, ETA 2834, Miyota, PT5000. This Divemaster 42 is simply gorgeous. Sporty, unique...and yet classic in its styling. Numbers on the bezel are very visible. Excellent lume. Beautiful dial. Quality materials/fit/finish. Highly recommend this watch.
Aragon have big potential and I really appreciate their efforts on going beyond the divers that made a name for themselves. While their designs are (for me, at least) hit or miss, one can certainly not accuse them of lack of originality. As always, I am extremely grateful for getting your feedback and I hope to hear from you again!
I own two. 50 divemaster Pepsi full lume dial and a evo3 45 orange dial. I really like them both. Each one is 1/2 pound. They are a big American stuff. You need one that suits you. Master wing is always making new models and discounts older ones.
You’re on to something here, definitely. Key to a successful investment is “buy low, sell high”. Not sure how you can apply this to Rolex who just announced they will open three more production facilities.
@@themicrobrandexpert you can't, no one has gotten rich off selling watches except the watch makers or a select few scummy middlemen. .that's my point there are better investments than a 50k watch
