Thanks for sharing, I just ordered an S30 pro max. Will be interesting to see what board revision I get. It's a shame about the quality of the switch... if you ever decide to swap out the switch on your spare board for a better quality one would be good to see.
Unfortunately I am unsure if we can bypass it or if there is a quality replacement. I just soldered mine in place to avoid it coming loose again. Additionally the light is similar to the old Mini Maglite flashlight bulbs. If I had to guess it's most likely acting as a resistor similar to how vehicle lights function. When replacing them with LED you get hyperflash issues due to resistance being less. I imagine it may still fail if it the switch were to be replaced with something with a lower value. Although this is just speculation and I'm no electrical engineer.
@@fatalisticend I would appreciate if you could explain a little bit or draw me something quick by message , I m very confused about what part need to be solded and how ? Do you need to open the on/off power switch cap ?
What means, if the R47 is lighten up (the diode between the power entrance and the connection cable)? I have Sculpfun S30 5w, and the laser machine doesn't start, if air asist is on. When I turn off the air assist, the laser is working normally.
Unfortunately that's beyond my knowledge. I would definitely suggest contacting sculpfun through email. They are much more responsive through email, as has been my experience. If I had to guess though I'd say either the air assist is messed up or the control board for the laser itself is having an issue.
If you are referring to the board you would need to remove the cover over it. There are 4 nylon screws in the back that hold it on if I remember correctly. Hope that helps 😀
Wow thank you so much!! It really helped me man🎉 God bless you
No problem, glad it could someone out.

Thanks, I've certainly considered it. May do it just to have a good spare that has no problems
Thanks for sharing! It is really usefull to know.
No problem, I figured someone else out there could probably run into the same issue due to the low quality of the switch.
Thank you very much for tour vidéo , i havé exactly the same problem !
Do you Know of We can by-pass the switch adding a new one ?

It's just the stock board from Sculpfun that they sent me as a replacement. XY-DLC32-MC V1.1
How do you access this?
