  • Welcome back to my workshop.
    In todays video i enlisted the help of the ‪@SCULPFUNReal‬‪@SCULPFUNReal‬ support team to help resolve an issue i had with my S9 laser.
    The first half of the video was requested by the Sculpfun team to help them remotely diagnose the issue.
    The second half is just me implementing the fix.

    Hey! I have this exact same issue on the s10. I contacted sculpfun and they responded (very quickly, as in 30mins) to point me to your video and run the same diagnostics. Your video helped a lot! Hopefully sculpfun will do the same for me and send me a motherboard and wiring loom. This will be the 3rd wiring loom they will have sent me for my s10. I am starting to wonder if the problem is me 😂🤷🏻‍♂️🤦‍♂️. I can't fault their customer service though...

      😃 Oh my god.. they actually directed you to my video 😃😃, well thats awesome for me 😃👍. I must admit the Sculpfun customer service is excellent. It looks like the main boards have an issue or at very least a short lifespan. My new one is working great now. Keep me posted on progress. Thanks for watching Peter, much appreciated 😁👍

    Excellent video Frank & its nice to know sculpfun actually look after their customers. A great company doesn't just sell products but gives continued support to customers. Ive not done much with my laser yet but have lots of ideas.

    Hi thank you for your video, I have the same problem I'm going to buy the motherboard too and see if that will solve my problem.

    Great news mate took a bit of time to get it sorted but at least it's up and running again always nice when you get good customer support when their is a problem with a product.👍

    Hi Frank , good to see you again, I was gutted when I saw your comment on Shed Space you were having trouble with you laser. I'm glad you got it up and running now. You got a replacement circuit board and it's working well, it is nice when you get good customer service and support to back you up. catch you soon on your next video.     I replaced the card on my machine, as I had the same problem....Card $120 only to find it was the Cable, $22 and Total of 4 weeks delay 😢

      😔 Its definitely not the cheapest hobby in the world 🤔. I did really go to town to ensure it wasn't the wiring harness that was at fault before I even considered changing the main board (I could have possibly repaired the harness if that was the problem) . Either way its still cheaper than a new laser. I must admit Sculpfun customer service was excellent and I would still recommend them as a company. I hope your setup now serves you well for years to come. Thanks for watching Bruce 😁 👍

      ​@@frankslittleworkshophello,i think no cheap hobby but check the price of some serious ham radios😊
      My problem with S9 Y-axis was from one wheel and left Y rail,fixed with LaserGRBL shake test❤

    So you fitted a new Cable and Board, which one was the problem?
    Why didn't you fit the new cable with the the old board, this to ensure it was the board?

      😁 Hi Bruce, in the video you can see i had already conducted experiments swapping the harness at the stepper end and the main board end. This confirmed it wasn't the harness that was faulty and that the issue was with the main board. I could have left the old harness on but I had the new one so I fitted that and am keeping the old one as a spare 😁. Thanks for watching 😁 👍

    the new bord has lesser possibilities for end switches etc so it is bullshit
