Me: “Silv, how many episodes until you finish the actual coaster?”
Silvarret: “Yes”
Also, that Bumbly Bazaar easter egg is cool 😁
Glad you caught the reference!
One of the things I love best about watching you, Silv, is the history and architecture lesson that goes with it. In my previous life as a researcher, I did a lot of work in the 1890s for author friends of mine and I agree: while not my favourite historical era, per se, the world architecture stood at some of the most varied: down to the post-Victorian era stuff in the USA and Europe and Federation (1901ish) in Australia. Modern stuff is all very well, bt it's also very samish and the world is becoming vey architecturally homogenous. :D
Also, this looks amazing.
Man I’m so happy you came back to Planet Coaster, the best to do it!
Loving this series silv! Honestly one of my favorite things to watch right now. If this continues to be a full-fledged park, I was thinking, with three areas already being Arabian, Moroccan and Egyptian themed, a cool idea would be to base future regions of the park on different countries that surround the Mediterranean Sea, like Greece, Spain, Croatia, etc. That way, walking around the park makes you feel like you're on a trip around the Mediterranean, with the central waterfront representing the Mediterranean Sea. Plus, it'd be cool to see you try your hand at all those different styles, especially with your attention to detail.
I agree to this!!
That's been my plan all along, actually ;)
@@Silvarret Wooooh!! Heck yeah, I’m hyped to see where the future of this series takes us
Roman architecture would be also an interesting connector because their are also Roman ruins in many north African/ Arab countries
Silv, you mention how most parks would lump all of these areas together and just call them “Arabian” themed and how you want to make them separate in a distinct yet subtle way… I think one way for the everyday person to see that is by assigning each small themed area in Arabian Aerobats a color and using various shades of it through out that area… making areas that are next to each other have colors that are near to each other in the spectrum (ie giving the Persian area turquoises and greens, then giving the Egyptian area blues… then once you have them blocked out with color, go in and choose a few objects here and there and changing them to a different color like orange or purple, just to break things up, but still having an overall feeling that the area you are in is slightly different to the one up the street. I hope that made sense… I’m happy to reword or explain any part of this if anyone is confused or has questions…
That makes a lot of sense, I love the idea! Not sure exactly how it can be worked into the (largely already built) areas without being too obvious/distracting from the buildings themselves, but I definitely want to think about it. Will mention it in the next video to see if anyone has ideas.
@@Silvarret your banners, awnings, flowers… anything that can be recolored and is a minor object for the areas you’ve already built. You’ve already got the major pieces on the first section colored turquoise anyway!
Absolutely loving this series, especially when I learn little bits of architectural history along the way. Can't wait to see where this goes!
This park in this series is beautiful as always. Can't wait for next episode 😁
How can this serie didnt be continue? 😢 best idea EVER in this game with the BEST maker in RUclips and not will be continue
I get that it's exciting to do all the detailing around the coaster, and it is, but it's almost infuriating to me that the coaster itself is still unfinished and the suspense is killing me
Part of the pleasure
@@MrWayne101101 Um no.
Oh you have no idea how off topic I'm planning to go before the coaster gets finished 😈
Look at what u did now, now hes never going to finish the coaster
@@Silvarret could you show us some of the research or inspiration during the build? I know it’s more editing work, but I’d love to see some of the architecture research!
Hello Silvarret, One thing I would never say about your creations is boring. One of your gifts has always been using, and creating what the game has, and your design abilities! Whatever you do is always stunning! Thank You.
One of my favorite things to do while watching a Silvarret build is to check the time ticker in game. Seeing as we're now at Year 39, this park is definitely behind schedule and above budget. Great work as always Silv!
i love this series so much, all of the architecture is so beautiful and your narration is really calming
can't wait to watch this!
I think there is meat skewer shop in game. There are signs for it. And you can change the menu in the restaurant box too...
Great idea! I'll see how I like it.
Dude your videos are like a therapy, keep up the awesome work!
You did it again. Love the build, thank you for sharing. Always looking forward to your episodes :)
this is incredible. i love all the wall textures you create with sinking in different pieces and the amount of forced perspective on those buildings is just phenomenal.
Also your narration is really interesting to listen to. i usually can't watch speedbuilds but it's always a joy to listen to you talking about your builds.
thank you and i'm already looking forward to seeing more of this:)
Thank you, appreciate the kind words!
Would love to see you try theme park tycoon 2 at some point! They’ve added so many features as of lately it’s honestly starting to get a better building system than planet coaster with resizing and much more! Check out this park called benny’s movie park i feel like he’d be a great introduction to what the game truly is!
This is amazing! Great job Silvarret!
Hey Silv! I got into planet coaster about a week ago and I am ADDICTED! watched most of your vids for inspiration and it's working!
Groetjes!
This coaster would fit in the efteling the details is just so nice. Well done
You have such an amazing eye for architecture. Love your videos always!
This looks amazing! Can't wait to see more of it :)
it is a good day because the building uploaded
Your level of talent is amazing. I am in awe.
Amazing as always can't wait for the darkride part of the ride😍
I'm absolutely loving this series and your dedication to the architecture! Will we see any of those iconic Tunisian white and blue buildings pop up? Keep up the amazing work!
I've been thinking of the iconic blue/white kasbahs for sure, but not sure if I can fit them in anywhere. There will be a Moroccan area for sure, but moreso using the beige/brown colors of e.g. Marrakech. Will see!
I am from maroc myself and I think you did an awesome job!
That moment when you're so early that the thumbnail still says part 4 ;)
Oops, good catch! I'm not home anytime soon so it'll be a while before I can fix that.
It all look verry beautiful! I love this series!
Only Silv can get me excited for learning more about different styles of arches!
Wonderful work again Silv!
This build is awesome!!!
i am absolutely loving this series! i love hearing about your research and building process. but its driving me crazy how you dont have any toilets yet! every time you build a facade im like, oh no another meter or two you have to walk to get to the bathroom LOL
You're totally right, and I'm well aware :') we'll get to it!
This series is really exciting! :D
Oh, the joy when you upload a new video!!!
Gosh this is stunning
Love ur content ur the best !
You have no idea how happy I am to wake up to this
I think Dune Delights in the game has the kind of cuisine you're looking for in your restaurant. Also, are we not going to talk about that massive weenie on the hill in the background?!?
Incredible detail Silv, love the theme. Maybe you could do an internal courtyard behind the last building you created? Also, could you give us a high level overview of everything you have created so far. It’s hard to understand where everything is. Cheers!
There won't be an internal courtyard behind that facade, but there will be an indoor dining hall according to the plan (haven't figured out exactly what it'll look like, though...). I'm also planning an internal courtyard somewhere else, definitely don't want to miss out on those. I'll add a higher level overview at a later episode when these buildings are finished top-down as well (probably after a 'backstage' type episode)
Again?! I was at my local themepark yesterday for the first time in like 3-4 years (obviously not Skara Sommarland but still) and when I wake up you have posted a new video!
Babe, wake up. Silvarret just uploaded.
A few days ago I was wondering if you were still uploading videos as I unsubscribed (RCT isn't my thing) a few years ago, and to my surprise you started uploading Planet Coaster again so I subscribed straight away. And man, you've gotten so much better at the game! Glad you are back, binged all of the PC videos in one day. Just FYI, your thumbnail says this is the 4th episode and not the 5th :) Can't wait for the next video!
Lovely idea im glad youre enjoying as we do :)
Incredible
Had to watch this video twice just because we probably won’t get another episode for a month ..
Haha it’s all love tho sil love your content
Regarding the computer, I've found that at some point the game buckles regardless of hardware. I'm on a 10700k, RTX 3080, 32 GB of RAM and my major projects with multiple hundreds of thousands of pieces still perform well under 60 FPS. My biggest project ran at about 20-25 FPS on my previous PC (7700k, GTX 1080, 16 GB RAM), and when I upgraded I tested it out and it was running at like 35 on my new PC. More traditional games performed at well over double the framerate on my new PC compared to the old one, but Planet Coaster is quirky and doesn't scale with hardware like most games once you have a sufficiently built out park.
I think it would be cool if you made a family/thrill launch coaster like Taron winding through a temple in the Egyptian area.
Looking forward to some interiors
I'm not 😂 (but I'll get my act together, I swear)
Silv: Because its not so populair anymore.
Me: Who said that?!
Love it :)
looks great, hope you return to planet zoo sometime soon
The art work you’ve made while building the buildings is amazing! I’ve noticed you have a couple rooftop accessible areas, like the front of the main show building and under the first drop, I feel a rooftop area on the street for a smaller house would also go well in the build. Where the access for the second level (looks like) it comes from the street and not inside. With stone stairs leading from the street to a small balcony with a door to the floor. However, you would need a rope or something to keep the guest from going up there (imagining they actually could).
The restaurant should sell HSP (Halal Snack Pack) thick cut hot chips (fries) covered in Kebab meat, cheese, and garlic, barbecue and chilli sauces.
As a Dutchie, I see your HSP, but I would suggest a Kapsalon instead 😏
@@Silvarret Ooh, I don't know what that is, but as a Dutchie-by-descent, I feel like I need to find out. Also, love this series.
Will the map be available to download and explore when it is finished? Awesome work as always!
Planet Coaster is a CPU intensive game so past a certain point it doesn't matter how good your PC gets. The bottleneck at this point is that the game engine itself does not scale with CPU core count (same is true with 99.9% of the game industry). CPUs have mostly capped at how fast an individual core will get and instead scale using number of cores.
I could be wrong, but even if they make a Planet Coaster 2 it will not run any better unless they finally develop a game engine for modern CPUs.
All of this is to say: as much as I would love an entire Silvarret park in this series, it isn't going to happen unless he drastically reduces the piece count on every single build.
I hate that you're most probably right, but I'm still gonna try my best!!!
@@Silvarret I’m rooting for you! Hopefully at least a small park can be made before the frame rate gets too low.
I've been following you for a long time, but I never dared to write a comment.
I really admire your work. You are constructions and your techniques are really inspirations and models for me. I think you can't find better on Planet Coaster !👏
I just had a question: What general graphics settings do you use with Reshade because I have a little display problem with the interface. That is to say that it is also transformed by the shaders and it therefore becomes difficult to read... 🤔 Congratulations again to you and good luck for the rest of the operations !
Hey there, thank you! I'm using a Reshade preset made by Mistize - you can find it in the Discord Planco Mod Hub: discord.com/invite/baBGTR6Xen
And excuse me for sending a link, I swear it's safe, but you can look up the Mod Hub elsewhere on the internet too ;)
@@Silvarret thanks a lot for your answer !
I think we’re approaching the late stage in Planet Coaster in which 90% of the pieces used are not on the base game.
Reminds me of the late stage in RCT3, tbh!
Let’s go
I have no clue how you build this stuff ,the area reminds me a lot of phantasialand I guess it’s the theming
Great video again. Can you post up your PC specs? Wondering what kind of machine you have :p
Also. The thumbnail says nr. 4
26:37 Are you planning to build a castle there?
Hey silv ! Not sure if this was on purpose but your part 4 and part 5 both say 4 on the thumbnail. Please correct me if this was intentional though, Great build btw !
It was definitely not intentional, thanks for letting me know!
The castle in the background?👀
Build your next themepark with rvery continent style in it
Lol NCSO vs CSO being a debate in planet coaster and ORCT2 is very funny
Hah, that's a good call. Totally forgot about that whole nonsense!
@@Silvarret yeah it was (and sometimes still is) really funny
and.... he is gone again
I think Bumbly Bazar was an RCT2 map
It was, good catch!
Hey silv, what specs does ur new pc have?
People who argue that ONLY vanilla must be used, despite the devs allowing custom content and ENDORSING it is like the people who INSIST a steak should have no sides or seasoning to go with it, because it would be CHEATING to add flavour.
All you get is a very creatively bland steak, if you ask me!
Its not a themed coaster.
Its a theme WITH a coaster.
Silv, please upload this save once it's done to the Steam Workshop. I want to see this park in game.
Hey can u do a wing coaster tutorial in this game
This has probably been asked before, but how is it that you've accreted such an authority on architecture? Is it something you've studied academically in length or a passing interest? Even if I had no interest in Planet Coaster, your videos would be valuable for learning architectural terminology alone.
hey silv do you use Reshade? Or do you just use great items?
Both! >:)
@@Silvarret clever
@@Silvarret for some reason Reshade won't work for me so I'll have to watch it with normal graphics, but knowing you it will still be amazing!
Oei, wanneer komt deel 6?
Silv, I know you said in this episode you are not an expert in that architecture but do you have some kind of architecture specialism or degree? It's always very legitimate no matter the theme or culture.
No degree (though I have a somewhat adjacent degree in urban geography) - just a nerdy interest in all things architecture :)
And I would say I'm not quite legitimate, especially when it comes to non-Western architecture, take what I say with a grain of salt because my research isn't quite that deep.
Hi guys, Silvarret again.
You sound like Roger Federer 🙂
I do? That's a first, I'll see for myself!
Hey, silv! Once again, you're fantastic!
I have one small bit of criticism though...
The thumbnail says '4' instead of '5'!
I imagine only an absolute fool would complain about your japanese and alpine themed buildings being repetitive, so i wouldn't give them much attention.
Saying "Moroccan architecture" is wrong, it's north African, which includes Algeria and Tunisia.
Algeria has way more and better preserved Roman, Islamic and Amazigh sites anyways.
You're totally right. I honestly went with what's most marketable, I think.
Ummm… Hear me out! So how about a playlist / series on building scenery like this?
As a beginner, I suck at making anything in this game and do not understand the basics of creating ornate things.
Like everything that you do in this series go into detail about on how to make. (But very simplified)
The custom railings, walls and wall pieces, structures, supports, windows, and the spinning and flipping of objects and shortcuts, copy and pasting, just everything you think we should know go into a little bit of detail about. How to group your objects so everything aligns so easily. Just everything essential for a beginner to understand because I need HELP it takes like 2 mins to flip one piece and align it, and even that is an understatement.
As a beginner, I would REALLY appreciate a playlist about building and scenery creation from such an advanced player. 🥲❤
I've been thinking of (hold on to your horses) making a Shorts channel about these kinds of things. Most of the things that help in playing the game like this are short tricks that are hard to work into a long form tutorial (unless it's a 20-something-tips-on-whatever type video).
