I just finished the video and man - I love your archtiecture lessons! My history-geek ass loves every bit of it! And this story of the stroch khalif is beautiful as well. I'm excited to see this project proceed! 🤩
20:20 The story for Velocicoaster is actually that you're riding a roller coaster that was built inside the Raptor pen at Jurassic World, so the theming actually matches quite well since the only thing not real is the raptors.
So nice to be hearing you again!! I never thought about pairing this type of coaster with this theme, and also make it dueling - definitely excited to see how the final product will turn out, I think it looks great so far! Also, I love the fact that you even found a whole backstory for it, haha
I looked up the story of the caliph stork for anyone interested: Once, the city of Baghdad was ruled by a young caliph who was beloved by all his people. His best friend was the grand vizier. However, the caliph's wicked uncle, Kashnoor the wizard, did not like him because he wanted to be caliph himself. So he lures the caliph and his faithful grand vizier into a trap. He mixes a powder which turns anyone who snorts it and says the magic word 'Mutabor' (I am transformed) into an animal. Repeating that same word and bowing to the east three times would return them to their human form, but those who laughed while transformed would forget the magic word and remain an animal forever. As the caliph and his vizier try the powder, they see two storks fighting over a frog and turn into storks. Because they are so amused with the storks' quarrel, they laugh and immediately forget the magic word. Kashnoor assumes power and the storks fly away. While resting in some ruins, they meet an owl who turns out to be a bewitched princess. She knows that all magicians will be meeting there later that night. They eavesdrop on the magicians and learn the magic word. After they are transformed back into their former selves, they force Kashnoor to snort his own powder and, transformed into a stork, he is locked away in a cage, preventing him from ever bowing to the east.
Interesting, int he version I read, the wizrd was the uncle of the usurper. The usurper ends up turned into a stork while his wizard uncle get hanged. Also the vizier and Caliph laught over two stroks practiving a mating dance. And finaly once restord to human, the Caliph marry the owwl princess (who is from india). Small differences, same tale tho.
Bruh. You’re gone for 2 years, you come back. And you still manage to build something so unique and beautiful that it knocks everyone else’s builds outta the park. Also, wtf is this coaster type? I didn’t even know we had this in PlanCo 😂
Been trying to make a new-generation Free Fly myself for a while now, but couldn't master it. Can't wait to see what you do with it, and dueling is such an awesome concept for them!
Welcome back, Silv - we missed you ❤️ It’s refreshing to hear the voice and ideas of such a thoughtful creator, especially after a long absence. The way you speak about your projects and enroll the viewer in your creative process is so informative, approachable, and entertaining in a way that nobody else in this space could successfully emulate. Thank you for spending the time to make these for us, we’re so happy to have you back!
I'm new to the Planet Coaster game. You are one of the most inspiring creators I've found so far. :) Do you maintain any lists on Steam that summarize which workshop items you use in your builds? I'd like to get a feel for how custom vs. vanilla your builds are. Edit: And of course posted this comment before watching 27:21. 🙄 Thank you for explaining!
Finally! The return of the coaster king! The build is also great. Really like the theme and idea of a duelling Tranan Also im pretty sure velocicoaster is actually more like BTM than you think as the story is that its a coaster built in Jurassic World as an attraction to take you through the enclosures.
I just came back from a holiday in Orlando and had a chance to ride Velocicoaster. Tbh, I didn't really get immersed. They did a good job on the theming overal. The coaster covers quite a bit of space in the park. The biggest effort is the queue, which had quite a bit of diversity. At the end of the queue they basically told you the story about you going through the enclosures to race raptors. But riding it, t didn't feel like I was going through enclosures per se. I didn't even see the raptors next to the track while riding it 😂 It was mainly trees, bushes, gray walls and steel. But maybe the ride goes too fast to appreciate what's going on. I really like rides like BTM and Jurrasic Park River Adventure. Both those rides go a lot slower, so you can look at all the details. However I'm very sure that Velociraptor has got way less theming compared to the other mentioned rides. What also doesn't help to set the ride apart is that it is located in a park in Orlando. You see tropical trees and bushes all day, every day. Maybe the effect/immersion would be a lot more impactful if the ride would be in another park. About the ride itself, I was a bit disappointed. I love me some agressive Intamin and RMC rides! But I expected/hoped it to be more intense. No doubt this coaster is a major it with the GP! But for me, after doing so many rides over all these years, I guess it's a bit of a "been there, done that" 🙂 The G-forces weren't really hitting that hard, and the layout wasn't really inspired. The majority of the ride is quite dull. The first half is mainly a lot of twists and turns at a lower pace. The second part you just go in a big circle ... twice. Yay. There are cool/fun elements in the ride, but they're sadly not good enough to compensate for the rest of the layout. I almost want to mention that the trains made a loud rattling noise when I was there. It's like some plastic parts of the train were a bit loose. It was quite annoying. The ride itself was smooth, though!
Love this coaster concept! I really love how you always weave a story through your builds. I definitely understand taking a break but I have to admit, I have really missed your planet coaster videos
Silvaret I am always so delighted by your broad sample knowledge base and research, obviously I'm not taking you as an expert necessarily but the way you talk about architecture made a completely opaque field for me suddenly have discreet bits of anatomy and history and taxonomy where before it was such an overwhelming blur. I love your videos and I love the tangents you go into, it's great to see you posting again!
this is incredibly inspiring! the interaction between the coaster track and supports with the buildings is top notch. also makes me wanna give that theme a go in the future. great to see you back!
Good to see that you are back with Planet Coaster! In terms of unique dueling coasters, Intamin's Dueling dragons in Guangzhou Sunac Land is also unparalleled. The dueling combination of a sit down and an invert opens up the opportunity for many new and totally unique elements.
That's the coaster that inspired me to do the back-to-back track section on this coaster! I wouldn't dare think it'd be possible otherwise, but Intamin showed that it can be done. So cool!
7-month belated SILV IS BACK YES! Every time you build something, you blow my mind and inspire so many of us. I really hope things are going well for you. Also, that you've got something going on IRL that can inspire as many people as your content does. Your videos always make me wish you were on the creative team for at least one theme park. Never understood why no park has asked you to design a ride/land for them. I wanna have an excuse to visit some out-there coaster park to ride YOUR creation(s)!
So great to see you back at it. It's tough to come up with something that hasn't been done to death, let alone finding a way to execute it well. Your discussion about finding ways to improve the Free Fly experience was fun to listen to, and even better to start to see it implemented in your layout(s). I'd love to see what the clearance envelopes for these tracks look like though 💀 Looking forward to part 2!
Finally was able to check this one out! It's so incredible to see you bring your touch to Planet Coaster again. The ride you used for this one was always such an interesting one to me, especially after learning that there really isn't any real-life practical coaster of them (as far as I know?). And of course your touch on it was incredible as well, cheers my friend!
I thought you disappeared into oblivion😂. Glad to see you are back again ! I really like how you are trying less popular themes in this game, and really love listening to the architectural details you talk about when discussing a building style etc...
This is brilliant man! It's great to see you back in the game and building incredibly, this definitely looks like one of the most unique projects ever made in this game! 🙌🙌
A new Silv coaster!! Woo!!! Love the story behind the build and the blend of concept, ride design and scenery. Super excited to see the shapes this building will have in the future In that duelling-almost-zero-G-roll-like-thing, going over the pathway, when you laid it down I had the idea of integrating the support with some kind of archway decoration over the path, but I'm not sure if it would be feasible given the angles. Hype!
amazing upload! One thing to nitpick is when you said Velocicoaster doesn't feel like riding a dinsosaur and that you can tell you're on a coaster instead....thats actually exactly how it is meant to feel. The theme is that you're on a coaster in a raptor paddock.
I sincerely hope this is some weird break in the space-time-continuum where the recreation happens before the Efteling actually announces this to be its new ride for 2054.
The comment around Velocicoaster is comical to me because, while I agree with your point that it is very obvious that you are riding an Intamin, that is actually the plot of the ride. That you ARE riding a rollercoaster that was built in a raptor paddock. Big Thunder and Expedition Everest are by far some of the best coasters to seamlessly incorporate the ride, it’s track, and it’s cars into the story of the ride and I love them so much for the scope that they do this on.
Good to see your back and can't wait to see how this project goes! It already looks stunning and the concept is really clever, look forward to part 2! :)
OMG The timing of this! Literally visited Skara Sommarland and tried Tranan for the first (and likely only) time in my life the day after this was posted and I had no idea until now! What're the odds of that!?
He's back. And the videos are still amazing. I was legit going through my subscriptions yesterday clearing out ones I don't watch anymore, and when I came to yours I thought "If this guy uploads again I wanna see it" and I only had to wait a day. Glad to have you back!!
Not sure if you have everything already planned out, but having it fly through/over an Arabian market street seems fantastic :) Glad to see you making videos again.
Man you´re the type of person I could imagine having endless conversations with. I really like the way you think, your perfectionism and the way you always try to get to the bottom of things and thinking about why things are designed the way they are. Hope to run into you at a theme park one day :D Looking forward to the rest of the series! Cheers :)
I’ve always imagined this ride doing well at a Universal park as a Quidditch ride in the Wizarding World. The openness of the gondolas would lend well to that experience.
It's awesome to see you making vids again! I had just gone back and rewatched your Jaegerhorn series last month. The build looks great so far, very excited to see it completed!
It’s so nice that you are back! I was worried I wasn’t getting notifications and checking every so often to see if I missed something! Your creation is as usual stunning. It’s great you haven’t given up on the game!
I forgot how these videos were soothing, I really like them Also this ride looks so amazing Edit : I agree sooo much, Big Thunder Mountain is very very immersive I clearly preferred it to space mountain
I can't believe it! SILV IS BACK!! Love it!

i like how its a powder they have to snort
He's BACK!? This is such a beautiful concept Silv. It's wonderful to hear your voice and watch your work again.
Bruh. You’re gone for 2 years, you come back. And you still manage to build something so unique and beautiful that it knocks everyone else’s builds outta the park.
Also, wtf is this coaster type? I didn’t even know we had this in PlanCo 😂
Type: bird.
Silv!!! So glad to see you back
Nice to see one of the best creators when it comes to both scenery, ride layout, etc going back to Planet Coaster! Looks absolutely beautiful!
The Free Fly is one of those random inclusions in Planet Coaster that I hardly see anyone use. Great work with it here.
Been trying to make a new-generation Free Fly myself for a while now, but couldn't master it. Can't wait to see what you do with it, and dueling is such an awesome concept for them!

There is something extremely satisfying about watching someone build these rides to near perfection.
Finally! The return of the coaster king!
The build is also great. Really like the theme and idea of a duelling Tranan
Also im pretty sure velocicoaster is actually more like BTM than you think as the story is that its a coaster built in Jurassic World as an attraction to take you through the enclosures.
Another commenter pointed that out too, I was mistaken :) I love it though, happy to be wrong on that one!
@@Silvarret yeah it looks like an amazing ride, would love to ride it someday.

He’s back!! Ahhhhh nice to see you again Silv :)
Welcome back to RUclips!! Seeing "Part 1" in the title is really encouraging ^_^
I can really imagine this coaster in and around Fata Morgana in the Efteling. It fits that theming perfectly!
So great to see you back with Planet Coaster Silv! Love the use of those S&S coasters here! Can't wait for the finished product!
Great to have you back Silv!

Oh my god a new Silvarret project and it's not even Christmas. I'm crying.
Great to see you back Silv! Great commentary and coaster as always!
I sincerely hope this is some weird break in the space-time-continuum where the recreation happens before the Efteling actually announces this to be its new ride for 2054.
He Lives! Once again my passion for coasters has been reignited single handedly by this one man.
I love this coaster type. I wish there was more of them and I LOVE this coaster and the theming and welcome back SILV!!

I didn’t want this video to end .. welcome back !!!
Yeti at Disney had a very immersive ride and theming for me as well
Man you´re the type of person I could imagine having endless conversations with. I really like the way you think, your perfectionism and the way you always try to get to the bottom of things and thinking about why things are designed the way they are. Hope to run into you at a theme park one day :D

I have wanted to see more done with this ride!

"People would die, it wouldn't be very comfortable".
Atleast he didn't call it a significant emotional event.
Good to see you back on this game, it's been a while !
The idea is great the two flying birds as dueling coaster love it
I’ve always imagined this ride doing well at a Universal park as a Quidditch ride in the Wizarding World. The openness of the gondolas would lend well to that experience.
what a treat to see you come back
I feel like every time I go back and watch your old videos you post a new one! good to have you back

Me: You can do nothing wrong.
It's wonderful seeing new content from you!
Finally a Planet Coaster video again!!! Love this!!
This build is insane
