To think that technology has come such a way to allow us to be able to stand within the palm of our favorite cartoon, I'm thankful to live in such an era.
in unity? not at all... actually with a little of programming all he needs to do is paint a ragdoll as the iron giant, set the 1st person can in his hand, then we the iron giant movements and done... and most of that is already pre-done if you take the time to look after it...
The thing about animating with tiltbrush is: 1. It would be very similar to 3d animation. 2. It would be completely different from 3d animation. If it wasn't obvious, I feel hella excited yet confused about this subject. I do believe that animating in tiltbrush would be a bit more 'superior' to 3d model animation as it would combine the 'frame by frame' aspect of traditional animation and the 'consistent 3d model' aspect of 3d animation. This allows us to get the accuracy of reality with less animation effort yet be able to keep the abstractness used in drawn animation (scratchy lines, squash and stretch).
i think the modeling part would be like a traditional painting/sculpting experience, but the animation itself is hard to go in a frame by frame direction...i think it's more likely to be similar to animating in 3d, with rigging and controllers, and auto inbetween...because of the complexity of the model. Even with a simple design, being 3d itself already puts the frame by frame perspective in a whole new level. And I think it would be already awesome in that way. Cant wait to be in the same universe as some digital arts.
I HAVE GREAT NEWWWWWWS. if you have vr use quill- its like tilt brush but you can animate with it. if you get an oculus quest (standalone) you cannot use animation (yet) but tilt brush is possible for 400$ (for quest) +20 (for app)
I love the fact that Jazza wanted is to experience what he felt looking at his creation. He even found a way for people that don't own virtual reality gear, to be able to explore the drawing.
imagine how much simpler 3D animation could be when you're controlling the model frame by frame much like a puppet with stop motion movies but way easier, or hell how much easier sculpting 3D models could be like zbrush but now controlled with your hands
You're the most impressive artist I yet discovered and I seriously hope this program can advance to the level u can make even more amazing art because god, that was fucking amazing.
this right now is the closest we are to the dream that everybody had as a child, to be in your favorite cartoon, to experience how it looks, i don't know why but it makes me really emotional and your expresion as you finished it makes me think you feel something about that too jazza, thanks for sharing this
Oh my gosh,When he mentioned that he wanted to animate it and listed examples,I'm pretty sure I died that would be sooo cool, THIS LITERALLY SO COOL. I CAN'T PUT IN WORDS HOW EXCITED I AM TO SEE MORE VR
imagine if you can animate this.. imagine if you can install an ai in this... imagine if you create thousands of such characters...all of them right from your childhood.. imagine if you spend thousands of hours and create another world..
This video starting at around 8:07 it reminds me of how I felt when I first started drawing no matter the time or effort you just feel amazing and idk this is such a feel good type of video to me, keep up the good work Jazza!
@Draw with Jazza for reference pictures, there's an option on one side of the tool bar that let's you find an image on the internet and transfer it to be a movable box in-game ( I know this because iHascupquake did this before drawing nyan cat) :)
I think it would be really awesome for little jazza. Imagine being a kid that is obsessed with something and that your dad can draw them and you can "meet" this virtual or animated character and interact with it. And in a few years you could animate and stuff within the be or it being the film and you can interact with it.
I completely love your work jazza. the vr is something im not comfortable in using because of how isolated and anti sensory it makes me feel to reality as I suffer with anxiety, the vr in something that would most likely make me feel really unsafe in that situation, but its really great to see you use the vr in order for me to feel much better about its experience.
Just imagine the advancements in animation for artists! We could have games where there's stuff like this! Holy moly, as an artist, seeing the perspective of sitting in his hand, wow I was kind of emotional
Also this could be the beginning of an inception reality. If we could advance this technology into a sleeping reality. (Like laying down and activating the headset and you're in the game, but actually 'in' the game) we could create cities and planets, solar systems, new intelligent life with self awareness. We would have an alternate world, free of the limits of ours. There would be law and order, but no war. The ones who started war were forced out of the game and not able to return. It would come with risks though, we could get lost in it, forgetting about the real world, letting it die. People could leave the reality and have the world to themselves because no ones awake. I dunno, tell me what you think guys.
the vive alone is $899 plus you need at least a $1500 to $1600 pc to run most apps effectively and at least a 4mx4mx3m room... so it dousen't cost that much is just false, so the headset is expensive and there are huge hidden costs
Very early stages for an incredible new medium of art. I've seen some people already animating their art in VR. Really excited to see what the future will bring for VR art.
I mother fuckin popped outta the womb watching the Iron Giant. I literally watch it at least twice a month no joke. If I had the right stuff, I would download the file and sit in this VR space for hours on end.
Man, one thing that is so clear is that you definitely have the head for VR. Awesome paint (sculpt?) How the heck do you top that bro :D you set the bar pretty high for yourself (no pressure!) :DDD Love all your effort for such awesome content : ) As a 2D animator, do you feel like I have any place in the VR industry? I'm not sure where I fit in but am like DYING to get into it
Nitaant Vyas I care about you not caring about something by taking your time to comment on it which means you cared enough about it to want to leave the comment in the first place. :3
+derpsmcpineapple thanks for caring to notice that I care enough to care to comment about you caring to comment what I cared to comment which proves that you cared to comment..
Aincrad itself is a floating castle with 100 levels to get through and each level has it's own citys and theme...you can access a higher level by finding and defeating the level boss of your current level :)
This is SOOOOOOOOO AWESOME! Might be a next-gen way to make art. You put your vive on, do sculptures and other people put on their vives and go online and can look at your art as if they were in the museum. From all possible and impossible sides. Someone could even copy real museums in the VR or actually make VR museums for digital artists. But meh. Let's make rollercoasters and shooting range games! ))) Not that I complain, cuz vive costs like 3 times money I earn monthly anyway :)
There is a VR game called "Anyland" in which you can build anything out of geometrical shapes and you can actually go around and visit other people's places and what not and you can even build yourself an interactive avatar with blinking eyes/moving mouth and so on and you can see other people's avatars as you go around and explore people's creations. It's such a limitless game with so much potential.
This video made me tear up at the end. It's just so amazing that the world has come to this and how amazing everything is. Man I love technology and art :)
I had the pleasure of experiencing it for myself at the SCAD film festival. I am speechless. I felt like a little kid again. WHile i dont think i could afford a Vive, i would love for the PSVR to make their own variation of it so that anyone can enjoy it. And yes, there should be an animation version of it too. But, i didnt know you can change sizes, thats radical!!
When you looked up and his eyes were glowing... I was about to cry. My childhood was restored.
Brandon Barhydt it really did
Brandon Barhydt but just imagine how much better it be actually seeing it in vr
i did...
Same, I got chills
Brandon Barhydt mine too
I think you could honestly give Jazza a spork, 3 rocks and a bar of soap and he would STILL probably be able to make something amazing.
+SBroproductions tempted to use those materials now...
Draw with Jazza do it
Draw with Jazza You really should. I love seeing RUclipsrs make great art with crappy materials
Draw with Jazza DO IT
Yeeeeah this needs to happen.
I dunno why.... but this felt magical...
i agree
Because of the music and his love for the Iron Giant, that's why, silly head.
Yes it did
I knoooow
Chrono Hammer it did
He looked so excited and proud when he was looking at his creation. "imagine if I could animate this! " . I'm all emotional now
I can see his little guy watching this in the future and animating it for his now grandpa jazza to watch
I can see jazza himself animating this
Katy w. Same. I love the way he talked about it. It's truly amazing the things you can do today and just imagine what we could do tomorrow.
OOF SAME KDDKZL
He was so happy
I loved the Iron Giant, and this had me so happy I almost cried. You are amazing at this!
Percival Nightshade dude
I did cry

I thought I was dreaming when I saw her comment in Jazza's post :O
I'm glad to see The iron giant being drawn. That movie needs more love. It is my favorite movie of all time.
Syncage THATS EXACTLY WHAT IM SAYING!!!! it should have a sequel, it ended on an open note for it!!!
this is the best piece of art i have seen in tilt brush yet, good job man!
And it was a first time drawing c:
TroshKitty i know it is pretty amazing
Declan Lambert His art never ceases to amaze us.
And I just watched Jack drawing tweets in this exact program.... MAN, Jazza is much better at drawing
LoveCats his real name is Sean not jack
Funkyfruitbuns Yes, but he goes by jack
Funkyfruitbuns I know, I am not stupid. But almost all people call him Jack and not Sean.
LoveCats I mean he is a professional artist.
***** True
Wow I love how it even starts to snow too. Its like the Iron Giant is really looking down at you. This is simply mind-blowing.
To think that technology has come such a way to allow us to be able to stand within the palm of our favorite cartoon, I'm thankful to live in such an era.
Please use this to draw yourself or your avatar so you'll have a VR Jazza standing in front of you.
Jumpie Produktions ohhhh yaaa
Jumpie Produktions cool
That was THE most incredible art on Tilt Brush I ever seen , awesome idea Jazza
you should post it in sketchfab.com btw
this site even have a VR portability to see the models

This was a great video.
Imagine... imagine that he could animate in VR
He can, altough i dont know if he knows 3d animation, if so, he can using unity
Gon Garcia or blender
That would take one million years
in unity? not at all... actually with a little of programming all he needs to do is paint a ragdoll as the iron giant, set the 1st person can in his hand, then we the iron giant movements and done... and most of that is already pre-done if you take the time to look after it...
Gon Garcia yep
THIS IS THE COOLEST THING EVER SEEN.
I can't wait to see how this will develop in the future
This... I'm in absolute awe....

WHy is this so frikin inspirational???
Especially near the end when he kept on saying "imagine"...
*I AM INSPIRED*
THAT IS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING
YOU ARE ABSOLUTELY AMAZING
OMG
I WISH I HAD VR SO MUCH
calm down please #relateable
Jacksepticeye should see this

F'real
Emil Grettir Ólafsson YOU'RE NOT THE ONLY ONE
he would love this omg!!
He's gonna flip out, haha.
THATS WHAT I WAS THINKING :D
He looked so happy afterwards xD Jazza... You're amazing.
I love the fact that Jazza wanted is to experience what he felt looking at his creation. He even found a way for people that don't own virtual reality gear, to be able to explore the drawing.
This application right here is what sold me on a quest 2.
the future is here! soo cool when you imagine where this is going to go in a few years..
imagine how much simpler 3D animation could be when you're controlling the model frame by frame much like a puppet with stop motion movies but way easier, or hell how much easier sculpting 3D models could be like zbrush but now controlled with your hands
It's funny how some people think VR is just a fad that's going to peeter out and die.
Is he self taught, like in general? Cause he's so good at everything 😫
Im pretty sure he is
allot of practice does wonders, he truly loves to make art
+cet 96 also dont forget talent...talent is the main of the upper-ers
art is a skill, not a talent
Katie George it differs from person to person but I'd say talent can equal anywhere from 0% to 50% of someone's abilities
this is a whole new door opened for art
"Imagine.... imagine if I can animate this..."
THAT is true love for what you do.
God the shear emotion throughout this video was amazing. The hope and wonder. Plus, if 'possibility' is an emotion, I felt it.
it's so cute to see you excited with the htc vr >
I am now subscribing to you. You talented man
+Nathan Powell Thank you Nathan! And welcome!!
it took vr to sway you? all his art is amazing :D
THE BLUE FLAME lol
O MY GOSH I CANT EVEN DRAW THIS AT PAPER IM SUPRISE WOW😰😰😰😰😰😰😰😰😰😰😰😰😰😰😰😰😰😰😷
+Anime Fan well youre better then mikazuki
Jazza? Art? VR? IRON GIANT??!!
perfection
The amount of excitement and passion you have for your drawings and the possibilities that you imagine is really truly amazing!
This video made me happy, why? Cause when Jazza was drawing the iron giant he felt happy, like a child again, and that touches my heart.
Holy moly jazza! That's so awesome!! And great idea to do him and make yourself a piece of the art. I'm super impressed
You're the most impressive artist I yet discovered and I seriously hope this program can advance to the level u can make even more amazing art because god, that was fucking amazing.
A new level of art has been shown!
this right now is the closest we are to the dream that everybody had as a child, to be in your favorite cartoon, to experience how it looks, i don't know why but it makes me really emotional
and your expresion as you finished it makes me think you feel something about that too jazza, thanks for sharing this

I never noticed how buff you are.
Luke Pittman He goes to the gym every 5 hours
ThaVrisco Poor choice of words. You make it seem like exactly every 5 hours, no exceptions, he goes to the gym.
he doesn't actually go to the the gym "roughly" every 5 hours ether, thavrisco is just being funny :) and succeeding
Luke Pittman Yea but his buff-ness ain't saving his marriage from Chris Hemsworth
XD
((I'm playing))
U1timate1nferno It's called a joke for fuck's sake
the iron giant is one of my most favorite animated movies when i was younger. :D
3:35- and that's when Jazza stopped being an artist for a little bit, but instead, was a child.
This was honestly amazing please do more! Paint yourself in the Recess gang or something! The mix of nostalgia and modern tech was awesome!
i feel like Jazza could be a commercial for VR maybe even for Tilt Brush, his reaction to it, his excitement for it was incredible.
This is incrediable... Im blown away wow
imagine if you can animate this.. imagine if you can install an ai in this... imagine if you create thousands of such characters...all of them right from your childhood.. imagine if you spend thousands of hours and create another world..
Nitaant Vyas the 100 vibes from this
Nitaant Vyas thats what i want to see a full vr drawn world that will be amazing
Nitaant Vyas it's called games
no, what I mean is your own world d.. every thing right from you imagination
what you described is something like shelter (its an animation)
Please do more Tilt Brush videos like this!!! that would be fantastic!
I got so GIDDY when you looked up from in his hand omfg :DDD
This video starting at around 8:07 it reminds me of how I felt when I first started drawing no matter the time or effort you just feel amazing and idk this is such a feel good type of video to me, keep up the good work Jazza!

Yes.
This is cool. And an arm workout! Wish I had one.

hey jazza! you should do another 3D art, but you're inside an airplane looking down at a city!
And in this video we see jazza fangirling
That was a stupidly amazing sculpture. absolutely insane
Jazza DEFINITELY needs to do a lot of these.
So fun to watch and experience at the same time.
Just imagine the advancements in animation for artists! We could have games where there's stuff like this! Holy moly, as an artist, seeing the perspective of sitting in his hand, wow I was kind of emotional

OMG! I really want VR just so I could do that but I can't afford it ;-;
Good painting tho! Love that movie! It gave me feels
MadDa Dog It doesn't cost THAT much money...
ThaVrisco yea but I still can't buy it
How w much is it?
$800
the vive alone is $899 plus you need at least a $1500 to $1600 pc to run most apps effectively and at least a 4mx4mx3m room... so it dousen't cost that much is just false, so the headset is expensive and there are huge hidden costs
I saw jacsepticeye play this and I wondered what it would look like if an artist played it. Here's my answer
👌
This was amazing. I would love to see you draw some more epic sized things in this. Maybe try drawing the Big Ben or some other massive structures?
How does this not have more views? I would love to see more of these VR paintings.
Best creation I've seen thus far online. Tilt brush users are saying they want the shapes tool also , so future updates will show that probably.
one word... Amazing!
This is an amazing video. I can't wait till this stuff is mainstream ;_;
You are living the dream of everyone who is a fan of giant robots.
Very early stages for an incredible new medium of art. I've seen some people already animating their art in VR. Really excited to see what the future will bring for VR art.
The Iron Giant is one of my most favorite childhood movies!! This is absolutely epic!! 😍
Thats freaking incredible dude
this is awesome
dude congratulations on the finished artwork. And another congrats on the extra subscriber!
Awwww nostalgia overload!! The iron giant is in my top five favorite animations 💕
I mother fuckin popped outta the womb watching the Iron Giant. I literally watch it at least twice a month no joke. If I had the right stuff, I would download the file and sit in this VR space for hours on end.
You should make Batman, with his hand grasping your throat.
YES
It would be cool but you should be elevated like he's lifting you
Batowner Studios did you just reply to your own comment
David
"Do you bleed"
No
wow thats crazy i want more videos like this !!!!
Man, one thing that is so clear is that you definitely have the head for VR. Awesome paint (sculpt?) How the heck do you top that bro :D you set the bar pretty high for yourself (no pressure!) :DDD
Love all your effort for such awesome content : )
As a 2D animator, do you feel like I have any place in the VR industry? I'm not sure where I fit in but am like DYING to get into it
i got so emotional when you were standing in his hand and admiring what you made and how real it felt
My boyfriend got me TiltBrush for Christmas then downloaded this sketch for me to explore - the sense of scale was wild. Thanks man :)
the nostalgia hit me so hard: im paying child support now.
"Hello and welcome to child services. You make 'em, we take 'em!"
I know you said "Child support," but I just had to. 😁 XD
Subbed
+Un Anonymously Known welcome!
i subbed too
lol nobody cares about you
Nitaant Vyas I care about you not caring about something by taking your time to comment on it which means you cared enough about it to want to leave the comment in the first place. :3
+derpsmcpineapple thanks for caring to notice that I care enough to care to comment about you caring to comment what I cared to comment which proves that you cared to comment..
I would make a tiny Aincrad and spin around it. It would look freaking awesome.
But I don't have the arting skills to do so...
Ava Reed incase anyone doesn't know who reads this, Aincrad is from Sword Art Online, and that would be a really cool idea
Ava Reed Id create the whole city
Chara Theorys Aincrad is multiple cities...?
Aincrad itself is a floating castle with 100 levels to get through and each level has it's own citys and theme...you can access a higher level by finding and defeating the level boss of your current level :)
ugh
absolutely STUNNING! this was my younger brothers favorite movie when he was a kid I think he'll really enjoy this.
this is relay one of the best Tilt Brush art I have seen, slow clap for you Jazza
This is SOOOOOOOOO AWESOME!

You could do the Totoro bus stop scene
Woah that's amazing!
CHILDHOOD WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN ALL THESE YEARS??!!!?? *cries tears of joy*
This video made me tear up at the end. It's just so amazing that the world has come to this and how amazing everything is. Man I love technology and art :)
You're very ANIMATED about this subject, don't you think?
....

Jazza: draws the Iron Giant in 3-D
"I wonder if i could animate this?"
me: "how many sides does a pentagon have?"
Place reference image in Documents > Tilt Brush > Reference Image folder. Then go into tilt brush and open it.
The best moment in this video is definitely Jazza's own amazement at his work :) Standing in the Iron Giant's hand must have been incredible!
THE IRON GIANT! Yessss it's perfect! I love that movie so much.
This....is the future of imagination widening.
Wow, this was absolutely amazing!
Jazza, Thanks for posting this on my 21st Birthday
CoachCarter68 happy birthday!
Happy b'day! xD
happy birthday
CoachCarter68 HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!! 🎉🎉🎉🎉
Happy birthday! Now go get drunk!
