Another awesome fishing trip today and a few beauties landed too, enjoyed the trip with you, Tight lines, thumbs up and greetings from Kiwiland,, Tony.
Nice haul of fish to get you back on track for your challenge. Glad the weather held out for you. Good luck on completing your challenge and catching a Walleye too. Have a great day.
Hello my friend, that was another exciting video. I find these different fish very interesting. You have shown your skills and above all your patience. I hope you have a nice week. Best wishes Alex :)
Great day my brother, the bass showed up and you are back on track for the record, you will smash it. Have a great week and good fishing my brother 🙏💯🎣
This fish was better, we never no when the fish want to bite more , we must try, and see if they are on the spots where we think they are. You are almost with the score you make! Will be easy my friend! Keep going! 🎣🐟👍💯
You never know until you try? There could always be another big fish around the corner. But that could also mess with your mind. Its a wild game to play.
its been my expierence that walleye are notoriously elusive, only caught a few my whole life but then again didn't grow up fishing up for them, sweet vid Doug !
They sure are. I have only caught a few in my life and each time was a total shock. I actually saw one hit my bait last weekend fishing the Delaware river. I had chatted with some locals about where to fish for them, but I didn't go all in by buying some worm harnesses, or whatever they use to catch them. Oh well, gave it the old College Try.
Dug, you're making great progress with the goal. It's super hard to learn a new spot. I commend you for trying when you already had some honey holes figured out. Definitely on pace! Nice. Looking forward to the next video in the challenge series.
The best way to grow is to push the limits. I already know I can catch them in the honey holes, but if I want to be the best I can be I have to see if I can fish a new spot, And the biggest lake I have ever fished.
Day 3 is one for the books!! Well done on finding some nice ones under the docks. I was really excited to see you possibly catch a walleye. You're at a good pace. I hope the weather collaborates with you to finish this off!! 💪🎣
9oz ‘er just made the cut 👍 You got a lot of nice healthy looking bass Dug! 31…on pace to Get’er done 😉. I’m playing a little catch-up on videos this morning!!!
Awesome outing D! You pulled up some good numbers. Fishing from the boat has been treating you well. As for the walleye...they can be tough some days. Especially fishing new lakes. Falling back to what's working is not a bad thing. Catching fish is priority number one. I'm feeling that 50 fish coming! Tight lines!
Thanks, boss. I would love to have found a walleye and gave it the good old college try, but time is running short. Had to go back to the docks and put some points up. There is no OT in this game.
Great day of multi species fishing brother. Bass and all of the pan fish catch looked great!! I can’t wait to maybe see some Walleye fishing too brother!!👊🏼👊🏼🎣🔥
Thanks. Its an NRS Shirt Men's Silkweight Hoodie. Check out their website. $74.95. I am actually wearing it this very moment before I head to the beach.
31 right on track. Really caught the heck out of them on this day. Have no doubt you’re going to hit your goal. Oh a difficult stretch coming? I feel like I might have to eat my words 🫤ha that rain drop fell in just the right spot to block the important view. Almost like the video was being censored 😂
Pretty good day. I was looking forward to seeing some Walleye action. I learned how to fish fishing for Walleyes. The best eating fish there is. It is a different game than Bass fishing. I bet that boat feels good.
The boat is a lot of fun, though I would rather a larger front deck and a recessed motor pedal. But who am I to be picky! Like catfish, I only seem to catch walleye by accident. Just this past weekend I had some on the Deleware river smacking my lure. When I finally have my own boat I will be fishing Lake Hopatcong a lot and they have a great walleye and striper population.
Bass bonanza in this one. It looked like you went through some weather as well. What kind of electronics do you have on your boat? Side imaging, etc.? I wonder if you can find any deep rock piles, etc.
There is a Hook 3 on the consol. It was super basic and really only told me depth. By the second day I stopped even looking at it and worked off the paper map and instinct. I had talked to some locals at the bait shop about walleye and found the deep channel on a lower section of the lake. Most of the lake was 5-10 feet deep on average, but this area was 25-40. Nothing bit at all there, and that's when it was raining. It basically just ate up about 3 hours of my day and I gave up and went back to fishing docks for bass.
😂 The irony is that I skip leg day at the gym, or half ass it, a lot! And I have a real hard time netting one handed because of a gym injury on my left arm.
You caught a lot of nice fish. Did you catch most of the bigger ones on a drop shot? Great edit on the intro. No smallmouth or trout in that lake, just curous because it is colder water up in NY. You fish for walleye with smaller jigs, correct? Great fishing again Dug.
And there are smallmouth in the lake. It is connected to the St Lawrence River, a smallie fishing top ten spot. I just, had not caught one, which is odd, because I was fishing areas that should be magnets to the smallies.
I am actually going to be doing that on the 2nd week long challenge in New Hampshire which drops in August after this series. Give away and everything.
There was a cheap Hook3 mounted on the consol that just really told me depth. I was working off a paper map and instinct. Without a big motor the lake would be impossible to fish. I never saw a single kayak angler the whole week.

Oh man, walleye are so cool. I should have made it that walleye, pike and bowfin count as extra points.

I think I've never seen you fail at any of the challenges you took, I'm very sure you'll nail this one too ❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you! I hope you are doing well!

Crusing right along. Great job! You got this buddy. Those walleye can be tough to find in lakes. They just move around so much.
Yeah, and I just wasn't equipped to catch em. Still, it was worth a shot.
Great action! And great summary at the end of all the baits that worked. Very nice job!
Thanks, Todd. I think its a great way to be as transparent as possible.

Almost there. Keep up the great work. Had some nice ones on day 3. Waiting on day 4. Tight lines always.
Thanks, dude!
keep slayin the bass with sick music, great video
I appreciate that, bro! Its the MTV generation in me.
Definitely did much better on this day. You are over halfway there good job!
Ah well we will see what the lake has to say about that.
Nice haul! Almost to your goal!
Anything can happen.
Hey, Dug, thanks for sharing! Fishing new water is always a challenge, to say the least! Nice, upbeat video, as usual!!
Thanks bud. It is the only way to get better.
Awesome day!!
Yes it was!
friend, a guaranteed like on this fabulous fishing
Thanks for the visit, Edgar!
I love your boat Dug! Freaking awesome! You got this buddy!
Its nice to use a real fishing boat and not a dinghy.
Wow, nice ones, one after another. What a day!
Thanks, Mike!
What a great day fishing 😊😊😊 Have a wonderful weekend 😊

Thanks, Chris. Ill be doing a lot of catch up this week.
Well done Dug. Really surprised you haven't gotten any pike or pickerel yet. You always seem to get a bunch of those.
I don't think there are pickerel in that lake. I saw some pike, but I suck at hooking them.

I can't wait either!
You’re on track to catch 50 fish now!!
Well... wait and see.
Wow. You're reeling them in! Those were some nice fish
Thanks, Doc. I never get to fish docks, so it was a nice change.
Haha i said to myself “oh-he didnt take a picture”-.01 seconds before you said it 😂around the 13minute mark
I was on a roll at that point. 😜 If anything, the photos are a way to help me keep track of exactly how many I caught.
Great day 👍you're almost there
Thank you!
Had a good day, I like that boat
Its been a great boat!
That’s cool editing you have. The off color is cool. Love that fishing shirt where did you get that again?
Nice catches!!

Great job out there you’re a fish catching machine. Not sure if you ever join tournaments, but I feel like if you do, you would do exceptionally well.
Maybe one day!
Still had a busy day with the LMB. Perch changed it up tho. Nice vid, D!
Thanks dude. I don't catch that many perch, but I drop every one in the boat. 😛
looks like a fun day
Thanks.

Nature was censoring an epic... Rock bass. 😛 They don't count. Wait and see the next video and then see if you are still as confident.

smoking em..

Well past the halfway point. Keep casting.
I have nothing else to do. 😜 Soon though, there will be a LOT of casting.

The second fish was on a drop shot. Then I switched around when fishing the docks between a wacky worm and the drop shot.
And there are smallmouth in the lake. It is connected to the St Lawrence River, a smallie fishing top ten spot. I just, had not caught one, which is odd, because I was fishing areas that should be magnets to the smallies.

You don’t have to do a give away, but you should do the guess the lure game again 👍😎

That’s a big lake, I personally hate big lakes. Mostly cause I don’t use sonar. Are you using sonar in that boat?
