NH 90 fish in One Week pt 2: The Rain

- Every day can't be perfect conditions. Sometimes we have to get out and fish in the rain. I don't have the luxury of picking what days to fish on these challenges. In this one, it rains. A lot. The kind of rain that can really derail a week long challenge. I don't get make up days. I have to catch fish each day to come close to victory.

Once again, everyone has another chance at a guess for the 50th fish. Use #90fish1week and make a pick!
You always will find away to push thru Dug, even the rain can't beat you fishing😁...Best of Luck..
That was a good nap day, but I couldn't sit it out if I had any hopes of hitting the finish line.
Hello my friend, even when the weather is bad you are always out and about. But you were also well rewarded. Great song. Regards Alex :)
Ha I am glad you liked the German song.
So nice fishing in beautiful places. We did also have a lot of rain this summer 😢
It is not easy to fish or hike in heavy rain.
Риболовля вдалась друже 👍👍👍
👍 Thanks for watching!
Looked pretty soggy. Glad to see a couple topwater fish.
It is always a good idea to throw a popper on a rainy day.
Excellent job enduring the rain! Glad it paid off. Then it gets cold!? That's about the last thing needed after rain, haha, so it's a great lead in to the next one.
Yeah the cold front sure can put a halt on the bite. I may be screwed.
Man, way to stick it out there. I’ve done tournaments in the rain, hail and snow and I’m over it. I don’t mind the cold but im done when the rain comes. 😂😂😂. Tight lines man. Good job. 👏
That rain began to feel like hail. It wouldn't have been so bad had I had good rain gear and had not been soaked through.
Crazy weather conditions! Will Dug prevail? Stay tuned for next week 💥⭐️✅
Slowly slipping behind!
Awesome video as always Doug. Some challenging conditions for sure.
I needed a bottle of vodka out there.
Awesome video, Doug! You’re dedication is evident 👏🏾 I hope there was a fireplace and warm glass waiting for you 🥃
Ha nope. A sleeping bag after a few beers.
Lost a few and some rig but you caught plenty otherwise. Fishing in that rain was hard core! Well done on your catches and braving the elements. Hopefully you will have some better weather going forward. Have a great day.
Thanks Steve. Almost Uintas weather.
Not the best conditions but you still were slaying them. We could use the rain here in Pa actually the rivers and creeks are so low. Great video!
You didn't get anything from that tail end of Debbie?
Do you want to throw a guess out there for the bait contest?
Another sweet video ! Stay on um !!
Im too stubborn not to.
It’s amazing how many fish you catch man everytime I’m amazed !
Well, I know the lake pretty darn well.
Not even rain 🌧️ will stop dpuck. Your a fish catching machine. Great job !
Just stubborn.
@@DpuckFishingandOutdoors 😄
A good run of fish on a crappy day....success! Kudos for gutting it out. Some of the best bites come during that weather but if a cold front passes through it could get tough. Hopefully you can maintain the momentum.
I always have had solid success in rain, but I really need to invest in some legit overall bib raingear. I was drenched.
@@DpuckFishingandOutdoors I'm with you on the rain gear. I have to invest in some good stuff as well.
Awesome video you got this man !!
I appreciate that, dude!
🎣Supremely Wonderful❣はい、BIG LIKE😃🔔👍
I appreciate that, Red Dragonfly.
Fantastic fishing my brother and with that day it was only for the true fisherman and you sure are one. Have a great weekend and good fishing my brother 💯🎣🎣💯
Thank you. I was not ready to quit on the challenge yet!
Bass after bass, i always felt weather adds an element to fishing. Nice touch with the time lapse clouds 👌
Thanks 👍 The big changes in weather does keep things interesting.
D doing his thing out on the water! Thanks for sharing 💯 👍🏼 🎣🎣🎣
You bet!
Those rain days make for great fishing. Way to get out and still slay em’ 👏 🌧️
Haha sometimes. It sure was a bit wet. Thanks for watching!
Wow, that rain was really coming down. Good catches there 👌
Like standing in a water fountain. Thanks for watching!
That's beach weather where I'm from! Nice work grinding out the storm. That boat was taking on water quick!
Haha. Just a drizzle.
Rough day, but you stuck to it. You will get your 90+. Really enjoying these big challenges.
Thank you, RiverRat!
I know it was a slow day, but what a privilege to be able to do what you are doing! You'll get em on day 3.
That is right. I am up in New Hampshire, I am not going to waste the opportunity by staying inside.
still running behind here. Checking this out now at work doing paperwork as I see you are premiering your next day. Enjoying the tunes! Half way through, will catch the rest later then on to the new video!!!
Hope you enjoy!
Digging that song, it’s going to be in my head now. Awesome rainy day session, i always dig that rainy day bite energy! I have to check out those Berkeley Flatnose Minnows you were working. You got this one bro! Pretty crappie too!!!!!! Thanks for the video as always, always a fun way to start the day and inspire some fishing after a cup of joe
Its a German folk band. If you like the song, you have to check out their live performances. Incredible.
As for the MaxScent, I thought it was just hype. Overpriced Gulp, basically. I had tried some baits, like the General and the Lil General with no success, and think that Berkeley is pretty generic and mass produced low quality, but the Flatnose worked At Black Lake and has kept working. Maybe it was just the dropshot and not the bait. I know a ton of Pro Anglers swear by it up when they go north.
27 that was a awesome day! I swear when you fish when it first starts and you stay fishing you always get a lot the fish come alive when the rain comes!
Yeah fishing can sure be productive, but by the end that rain was a bit much.
Lots of bass. That is insane how you one minute and that other boat a few minutes later were emptying out the rain... probably a couple inches fell in that short amount of time. You sure are committed. You tore the crappie up as well on the Berkley minnow. Way to represent up there.
It was coming down in buckets. The drops were the size of hail.
The Berkeley Flat Nose minnow may be the only Berkeley bait I use.
Had to get the net !
I hate netting my fish.
Nice b roll 🤣
Thanks!
The rain arrives but you keep going to catch fish and never give up! Amazing video my friend and the music too! Congrats cheers! 🎣💯🐟👍
I can't catch them from inside the house. I was very surprised that I caught as many as I did. Thanks for watching, as always. Have a great weekend!
friend you have a beautiful fishing place
Thank you, Edgar.
Rain keeps most away. Some of the better days to fish at times. Still putting em down!
Agreed, maybe not this much rain but a cloudy day with light rain or drizzle... Best fishing weather and most confidence!
Yeah, I love a little overcast and can deal with the drizzle, but that was buckets. It made it real hard to film and edit. Basically, I say nothing for hours.
@DpuckFishingandOutdoors yeah, it is tough for filming but good for fishing. The audio sucks when the mic gets wet, water drops on the lens... but that's life. It's all good!
@@differentfins I did get a new camera from DJI that handles the rain much better.
Your music selection is just excellent! That Viking tune is ❤🔥❤🔥❤🔥 ⚔!! Nice video Dug, and great session despite the weather. I will choose the Zman Pop ShadZ (Mud Minnow) in this one. #90fish1week
That is music from a very cool band. Their live performances are amazing. I do love the popshadz.
Love fishing in the rain, but hate filming in the rain!! Tight vid, bro!!
I totally agree. I can catch them, but being able to film it and edit it is always a pain.
That hand fishing put down one but that’s how it goes. The rain too
I should have brought soap and beard shampoo.
Rain is fun to fish in for like 1 hour, then it gets old quick IMO. Still caught a bunch, tho! Nice one man
That is so damn true. Thanks, dude.
I'd rather fish in the rain then 25-30 mph winds on a sunny day. Looks like the Berkley Flatnose Minnow (Black Shiner) seems to be putting in work on this challenge, so that will be my guess for catch 50 in the #90fish1week Good stuff Dug!
I was out in an 18 foot boat in 35 mile an hour winds this summer. It was scary. It was literally a tornado warning in the northern tip of NY. I would choose rain too.
It looked like it got pretty rough raining out there for a bit. Good job on sticking it out man!! Even for a subpar you still got to catch some fish!! Great video Brother!!
Thanks, I guess the fish had better raingear than I did.
Good job in the rain.💪I caught very, very much!s😉
Thanks 👍
I'm catching up now. It's tough in that rain! Makes me want to give up when you're soaked. Still good progress through 2 videos!
If I was at home in NJ I would have stayed home, but I couldn't skip a day and hit 90, plus I came all the way there, so sitting inside a cabin reading seemed like a waste.
Plenty of action for a rainy windy day. Not as many counters as you would have liked but still on target. Great edit and soundtrack.
Thank you, Stacy!
Come hell or high water that's still some good numbers you've got!!😎
I had both.
Rain tried to ruin the Parade
Ha well, It did hold me back a bit.
Hey great mixed species action in the rain Dug ! You climbed up getting closer to that 90 fish pretty quick. I really liked the crappie. Great colors. For the 50th fish I'm gonna say you use a war eagle spinnerbait golden shiner color #90fish1week
Throwing a spinnerbait in the rain has always been something I have had success on. The crappie sure are fun. Thanks for watching.
Great video, you caught the dreariness well. Berkley flat nose minnow black shiner. #90fish1week
Its been a very productive bait this season!
great video my friend
Thanks.
#90fish1week some darn good catches. Nice shot with the rain and blades of grass. So do I get to pick a new one? I don’t even remember what I picked last time 😂. I’m going with the Berkeley flatnose minnow (black shiner) this time. I really don’t see how you fish in the rain like that. I would be so miserable. I hate doing anything out in the rain. Um yeah. When the boat starts filling with water, it’s time to head to shore lol. Well might be a slow go, but I still think you’ll hit your goal. The rain drop censoring the scene cracks me up. You need an umbrella for your camera.
I am too stubborn. As you said earlier, I have not been beaten yet. If I stayed in I would have such a hill to climb. That was some insanely heavy rain though.
Rain is miserable, but at least you can still fish. Its all the camera equipment that I worry about.
Exactly right. Its the ability to film that is the problem. I have some water proof cases but the sound quality is drastically reduced. Then there is fogging and, as was shown at the end, drips. I have picked up a new DJI camera that has proved to be much better in the rain. Hopefully that solves it. Next rain investment will have to be some professional grade raingear and bib.
@@DpuckFishingandOutdoors I'd like to know how you like the DJI. I've been trying to decide between the Osmo and the insta ace pro. I'm done with gopro!
@@GoMidwestFishing I am very happy. The image stabilization has been fantastic. I don’t need a gimbal at all. The battery lasts much longer than my other cameras as well and it has worked great in the rain. I would/will buy another.
@@DpuckFishingandOutdoors I appreciate the feedback. My other youtuber friend, Randy at Rippin lips adventures, also got a couple Osmo action cams, and he's liking them so far too.
@@GoMidwestFishing I will add it has overheated a couple times. Hot days and standing in direct sunlight for a while.
its a good vibe
Thanks!
Things got pretty rough our there. You really weren't going to quit no matter how bad it got. Was the boat you were towing part of your crew or somebody random? I'm surprised there was anyone else out. Pretty good fishing day despite the conditions.
Ah that was Uncle Kevin, who only had an electric motor and wasn't getting across the lake anytime soon, so he just stuck it out until I was ready to quit.
Not a bad day in spite of the weather. Always tomorrow.
We will see how the cold front changes things.
nice Video🤩
Thank you!
c'est le meilleur temps pour pecher 👌
Thank you!
Eagle shiner #90fish1week
Great guess!
rain sucks
It sucks to film in, that is for sure!
