Nice - interesting seeing use of a blanket. I always used to stick a 3/4 length thermarest in mine. Be interesting to see how the 2 compare.

Or double up for a super cosy night. Let me know how you get on. Thanks mate.

Or you could get a piece of wall/roof insulation (the silver bubbled type readily available at most DIY stores - can't remember what the stuff is called), bang it in your sleeping bag to be laid on when you crawl in, and hang your whole hammock set-up closer to the ground. Works for me in winter.

Good suggestions, no doubt about that but, I like a science based approach and when I looked at the military model of the 4 causes of heat loss, I feel this is the better option. Thanks for the tips, I will try them in my next video.

Good video mate, really enjoyed it. I have been a hammock camper for years, I too have broken bits, and I find the DD XL front line gives you loads of room and you don't get the compression, or squeeze if that's what you call it. They also allow a diagonal lay, which is flatter and even more comfy. Good work bud keep the videos coming, big thumbs up. New sub 👍

Sorry bud, I watch and comment only, I'm no good with a camera. I have a lot of experience with all kinds of camping, ex military. Very ex by the way I left along time ago. But I still practice my survival skills and love nothing better that going to the woods or the hills.
      Regards Moose

Brilliant video. Did you find you had to sleep on your back all night or could you sleep on your sides too? I've never tried a hammock but it looked really cool.

Slept on my back but as a mouth breathing asthmatic, who normally struggles with sleeping that way…it was surprisingly nice! Give it a go.

Hi. I’ve never seen not heard of it but I did just google it and he’s a handsome lad. I’ll take it as a compliment even if I can’t see it much myself. Welcome to the channel.
