Does the caulk along the drywall keep the sink basin from rocking back and forth and keep the basin from flipping up if downward weight is applied to the front of the sink nearest the person washing their hands?
Yes in addition to the wall mount bracket 👍
Looks like a lot of work and maybe best left to the pros if you got some extra money

If the sink was slightly twisted could l just take out the silicone from the back of the sink and straighten it with more silicone
You probably can, use a level to make sure it is leveled. Since silicone does not dry quick, you might want to check the level of the sink and re-adjust accordingly during the drying process.
Scary music. Why not take the fixture off after you take out the sink?

I followed your tips to a tee. Unfortunately, the builder must have glued the back of this thing to the wall and also the base of the floor. Any tips on getting this out in one piece as it.doesnt seem to move even.
I got this out a few weeks back. Had to use multiple putty knifes and a heat gun. Had to stay persistent and it gave way
The sink was caulked down for many years which made that silicone hard like a rock and they overdid it.
it's unfortunate that you had to work really hard to get it pulled but glad to know that you finally did!
@@Rea_HomeFor4 yeah got it done a year ago. Those guys must use a full tube of silicone. 🙄
I've just recently replaced the toilet in that bath with a more efficient one as well
The contactor told me a whole lot of story about removing this? Now I know 😂

I f you are removing the sink anyway, why not undo the plumbing part (except drain and water supply of course AFTER you have removed the connection of the sink to the wall
