Considering you lose around 26 seconds per stop and you weren't running out of gas, you should've done longer stints - Here's how to calculate it:
· Considering your fuel consumption (63% in 22 laps), a 200-lap race can be done in 9 stops (20 laps), 8 stops (22), 7 stops (25), 6 stops (29) or 5 stops (33)
· To calculate your ideal stops, you'd need to avoid losing 26" on track per every stop you save after 9 or 8
· CONCLUSION = Considering the tyre fade, you could've easily done 7, maybe even 6 if you just avoided the bigger drifts entirely
Nice driving skills man I’ve never played daytona usa 2 battle on the edge or this but played just about every other daytona usa game
My only experience of this game was on an emulator, but I have played the original and Daytona USA 2001 on the Dreamcast.
It's a shame you can never find the real thing at the arcade. It's much better than the first one in my opinion.
The atmosphere, the sound design, everything about it just screams classic NASCAR and I love it.
If I ever got to choose 3 arcade cabinets to keep for the rest of my life, it would be this game, NASCAR Racing (2000), and Battle Gear 3.
@@GageHeibeck i agree my man
@@GageHeibeckplaying this on a real arcade machine is awesome. I plated once but I ran out of time because the gear shift was broken 😂
I've done a couple 100 lap races.
Boy they sure are... Yeah something else that's for certain...
Is yellow flag also appear in other racetracks?
The beginner track is the only one that has the full-course caution.
@@GageHeibeck thanks for the information. I always imagine what happened to the retired drivers on those tracks. Will they taking the ride at advance course or something 😆. I love the interviews in beginner course so much

2.5 mile oval
The race would've been MUCH long if it was 2.5 miles. As much as I like watching the 500 and driving it in NR2003. It's too much for me in this game because of the rubber banding AI.
Not at all! If you think about time and speed (300kph average or so for 18 seconds), you get a distance of around 1500m or less than a mile - The craziest number is the G forces you must be pulling to lap a mile track at 180mph average
