Lol You just liked subscribed to an advertisement. They don't care. You probably don't know how huge Parts Express is. Now go to their website and buy a DSP.
Still dont understand what it is? I think the video more explains what it does, rather than what it is? I have Steinbergs UR44, does it use DSP? I guess so...
So DSP (Digital Signal Processing) is a verb, but it is often used a noun. "I'm going to buy a DSP." If something is being called a "DSP" it usually has the ability to change the input audio in many various and complex ways...however the easy way to understand it is that even simple things like 'turning up the bass' is a basic form of changing that digital signal to something different. Does that make sense? You started with a flat frequency and processed it into a 'low frequency heavy' signal.
@@PartsExpressOfficial I looked it up and that word might be used by the company who made my audio card and Id guess from that that theres at least a difference between "latency-free DSP" and when using plugins that introduces latency which is another form of DSP really...
@@TheRobGuard Latency isn't really related to DSP. All electronic devices have latency (even if it is in micro seconds) but it can be called "latency free" when the company feels it is indistinguishable from instantaneous. Regardless, The UR44 is an interface not a "DSP" (noun form). However, it looks like it comes with or could be used in conjunction with software which would interpret the input and allow you to use presents (or DSP-powered effects) to change the input to something new.
Follow up, the device itself might even have a microchip in it that has the dsp software on it. Meaning the "dsp" element of it could be very subtly built into that product without use of EXTERNAL software. Either way: Input > DSP software > Output
@@evan.norwalkcalifornia562 There's no easy way to answer that question because the question in it of itself reveals that you don't have the basic understanding of the properties of sound.
I don't understand. What is the difference between DSP software and a DSP amplifier? I just bought a DSP amplifier for €900 but now I see i can buy a 10 inch android screen for my car also with DSP software inside. I'm confused.
A DSP amplifier has DSP technology built in. "To what degree" is what you pay for. Manipulating the sound to achieve something different is essentially "DSP", how much control over that ability (or being able to at all) is generally going to determine the cost of a product.
@@PartsExpressOfficial Thank you so much for the response! In 2 weeks the will build in my Gladen boxmore DSP set including my 15 inch 500 watt RMS subwoofer. Can't wait! That android screen will come on a later day. Thanks again for your info sir!

@@PartsExpressOfficial Thanks, explains it to me!
The sound effects. When he said bass playing through the tweeter 👀😂lmao
Does a dsp replace a preamp and crossover?
DSP will replace a traditional crossover. It becomes a virtual crossover that you can change and adapt to room variations.
Can I eliminate ground loop with this device?
No, you will need to have everything grounded to the same point. There is no isolation.

Do you need a DSP if you got coaxial speakers with built in crossover?
You only need DSP if you feel you want to to change the sound you have. It's related to personal preference more than necessity.

Typically DSP is used on the output, but I'm sure there could be advantages to use it on the input side to boost certain things while you record them.
