Power is important. When an M40i model is nearly at RS performance, something is definitely wrong. Needs more power the M3 Touring has over 500 bhp that would be my choice and its priced way to high.
Great video by Rory shame its the Rs4
Why are they killing it off?? What a legacy, the v8s of old were sensational 👏 👌🏽 🙌🏽
I think they are just renaming it. If I remember correctly Audi said that from next generation all electric cars will have even numbers, for example A2, A4, A6... and all cars with internal combustion engines will be odd numbers, so A4 sedan and RS4 Avant will be A5 sedan and RS5 Avant, same thing will happen with A6/RS6.
So next gen RS6 will be fully electric while RS7 will come with a V8 (hopefully, and not some hybrid V6) and will be avaliable as a Sportback (same as current RS7 sportback), Avant and probably new RS7 Sedan.
On thing I noticed is that they finally got rid of the plastic paddle shifters!
Why not 530 bhp lbs up by 50 would have been something wonderful with all those extra mods. Oh well will just have to mod it to 570 bhp 😂
This video is a nice way of saying it's worse than an M3
So disappointing that Audi refused to bring this unicorn to the US.
Agreed! Happy we get the RS6 Avant, but this and the RSQ3 variants should most definitely be here too!
Nothing to fear from AMG. Nobody is buying the new C63 estate.
I like your honesty!
Great review. He does a nice job.
How does a V6 push out 440 hp ? Even the A45 is a 4 cylinder but it pushes really close at 421 hp; Atleast a 500 hp RS4
the fart at each gear shift lol
A minute of silence for the RS4… you were beloved 🙏🙏🙏
Not everything needs to be fitted with a 500hp engine.
It's good the way it is!
I would appreciate if you (specifically you Rory) would review the Toyota LC250 first edition next please
Darn, they’re discontinuing it before I can afford a new one 😢
I'm pretty sure this isn't the last RS4, and a new one is fairly imminent, no? It's the last of this generation of RS4, but not the last RS4 ever.
How I had to wait for you to review this 😊
…but Audi is fighting back ˢᵒᵐᵉʷʰᵃᵗ
They should have at least unlocked the engine a bit to 480 or even 500HP
500 at a minimum, its 2023 after all.
@@buggerlugz6753 Yah Exactly! and don't forget that its weight holds it back as well
i had a 2019 rs5 and these things have not changed. Tweaks dont matter. My one was a tad slow vs the other brands offerings and this competition is now also. pitiful
Give it rs6 powertrain and call it a day
Turns out it wasn’t the last 😂
Check out the 25 year special edition
Outstanding review.
don't forget the Mercedes C63 and E63 AMGs, and the Volvo Polestars, and Skodas V-specs, and Cupra Leon, and VW Golf R, and both Porsches Taycan and Panamera, and finally but not least the Ford Focus ST.
:27 i just KNOW they’re not referring to the g80 m3 by great looks 😂
Yet again, Audi UK selling its customers short by not allowing its customers to have options given to their EU customer base. They're total muppets and it is costing them sales. I have an M3 Touring on order, owned several Audi RS cars, now switching to BMW. Audi have got too expensive and quality has dropped as well. Their customer service is woeful too.
My UK, European and Asian car brothers and sisters please petition to help us Americans get this car in the states; I love the rs3 and rs5 sportback but this car is the perfect vehicle I’ve been hoping for
So the question is what is better the RS6 performance or the M3 Touring?
M3 by a country mile
The m3 and m340i pretty much ended the rs4. Sadly.
@@idek_man007 a country mile, there just isnt that large a gap between them
I have a 2004 Audi S4 avant 6spd quattro black on black a b6. With a b7 rs4 exhaust. 🎉❤
Discontinuing is the right thing to do vw should do the same with the golf cause what's the point if it's only gonna be electric.
The new M3, great looks?! Are BMW paying motoring journalists to say these things?
I love this man...Audi all the way
All car manufacturers have started doing out with downsizing their engines, This call feels a lot more civilized than the outgoing beast
You SUV drivers are really killing off the car industry, all just to sit a bit higher up, which also means you're more likely to tip over in an accident
What car do you drive? 🤣
@@eal_pplnot an SUV that’s for sure
Exactly blame people for trying to show off
@@yes8032 so what exactly? VW Golf? :D Never been a much of a SUV fun, but when it comes to own a car - suv is the best choice for sure. Especially, if you have a family. Fast cars you can drive on track. Stunning cars you can rent to go for the beach. But when you need 4 wheel something for everyday - there goes a SUV for a choice.
@@eal_ppl honestly I’d rather own a golf over most SUVS station wagons are better family cars imo they’re just as practical as SUVs drive better way more fuel efficient better looking I do respect your preference too!
How does it handle the ever growing 20mph zones?
From the parent company that bought the world the diesel-gate affair, we have a car that barely rates a change in it's last hurrah but warrants a rave review that suggests questionable value and very little advancement. In fairness to Labradors, is this the best way to treat man's best friend?
Somewhat…. But, not enough; should have been how you finished your sentence. Audi is fighting back, but not enough. The M3 Estate will go down as one of the greatest last ICE wagons the world will ever see. Even though I prefer the RS-4‘s more understated design. Still waiting too see an M3 Estate in the wild here in SW Germany
nice car
At 3m 27s did you mean to say RS4 Competition, or did you mean 'performance'?
Did the back box have dents in it already!?
Very underwhelming with the beast that is the M3 Touring. BMW really has Audi by the balls right now.
I miss reviews like these Rory! Not sure why auto trader only seems to have EVs now a days......😢
They name will change in approximately 17mins lol
Why are they discontinuing the RS4? Does that include the RS6?
The car is not getting discontinued. It’s only getting a different name. RS5 instead of 4.
looks much better than beaver Beemer (m3) :)
I'm keeping my Audi as long as I can - I can't run an electric car in front of my house, and post brexit electricity prices means running an electric car is now more expensive to run, without even talking about things like those electric cars going through tyres much quicker.
How MANY people on here commenting have actually owned an RS4 ?
Personally I think it's a great car 😊
Yep…I own (from new) a June ‘20 RS4 Avant Vorsprung in Daytona. It’s a proper Q car (just an A4 wagon to the uninitiated) and that’s how I like it.
Very impressive 👍🏼
What time piece Rory's got on?
Compared to other cars this one is just (one word) Boring.
I mean even the interior looks like my Audi A3 E-tron I had 6 years a go. Nah.
The interior just doesn’t make sense. It’s so dry. I mean look at the vents. Its so 1990’s. And they just slapped a screen in middle. If only they followed up the design from outside to inside ie. the front grille and the vents
Always prefer the Audi, don't think its worth it.what could it bean. Lasting generations should be the best and a legend
its infuriating that you cant get one in NA
Anyone know what watch he is wearing?
That tablet integration on the dash is apalling, it literally looks like something they bought on Amazon 🤦
Love the car
Hate the iPad on the dash
Can you review the new Honda Cr-v hybrid sport ?
What's the watch you're wearing??
TURISMO WATCH CO.
TERTRE ROUGE CHRONOGRAPH - around 400 british pounds
It's better than the new C63 E Performance Estate. You can have that one Audi ;)
Could've shove the V8 from the RS6 in. Since it'll be a limited number and being last you might as well go mental.
