Couple of things here. First, regarding replacement of the piezo assembly, you can VERY easily remove two screws located on far right side of grill under the plastic trim and then remove the metal tray (pull off the gas control knobs). This gives very easy access to replace the piezo plunger.
Second, DON'T destroy the bolt head to get the burners to slide off. Instead, simply remove the two nuts holding the gas manifold to the right side of the grill. Swing the manifold out of the way and you can simply slide the burners out from under the bolt heads. Unfortunately I learned all this the hard way.
OP ought to update their video with some graphic tips up front so others don't damage their grill unnecessarily. This is the first YT video that's actually led me astray instead of making my day easier.

Thanks for the comments. Many times in videos I read down, especially more highly rated comments to get better/more complete info. I did the best I could, and based on the number of views and thumbs up, I'd say my video has helped a lot of folks. But I also thumbed-up your comment so hopefully people will read it and get some additional ideas/info. I'm not a great video-editor, so hopefully your comments will suffice.

Nice work El Marko. I have the same / similar grill and looked at this vid as I am going to replace burners for 2nd time. I have a Nat Gas grill and can't recall when I did it last. Similar issues with igntier and burners etc. I will note that my grill is 20+ years old. Noticed that your frame is a bit rusted and tired looking. Tip for who ever is interested... Cover the grill when not is use and because of that, it will look better in long run and be more serviceable. I use mine year round, although less in the winter (only 2x-3x per week). The cover really does help. I do appreciate your time to make this video. I live in Michigan, so weather is probably like yours in Illinois. Thanks again !

Put in new parts but didn’t clean up the grill.

Your not a great cleaner also! You should have cleaned the control panel when replacing the igniter switch and scraped out as much of the debris under the new burners before putting it back together. My grill is roughly 17 years old left outdoors all year round in the eliminates but I do cover it. I’ve gone through a good 4 or 5 covers but the outside of my grill looks like it’s only a couple years old. Yes I have changed the igniter switch & bought the heavy duty cast iron grates. My burners are still in good shape & my frame in in great condition. I take the grates & flavor bars off every year clean out the area as much as I can and put it all back together to start out a fresh year.
Maybe I should post a video how to clean & maintain your Weber grill. Happy grilling👍🏻

Probably didn't need to monkey with those screws at 1:14, the burner tubes just slide into them as a guide. But glad it all worked out for you. I have a 2001 Silver B that I just finished restoring.

Yeah, I mentioned the wing nuts later in the video as not really needing to be loosened/removed. My grill could have used some scrubbing and paint, too. I watched a couple restoration videos, but they were light on the how-to-replace information. Thanks!

I have your same grill. I have to say that mine looks in much better shape than this demonstrators!! I bought the new grates that are cast iron, new flavor bars and warming rack. I don't have much more into it than this guy invested. I thought the same, the grill was worth putting money into to restore it, rather than buying new one. I glad that I could buy Weber parts on Amazon to ensure a proper fit. I'm happy!!

@@sharonkaye2890 There was a drawing at Home Depot the other day for a "sheet metal" gas grill, I didn't even both putting my name because the Weber will still last longer than what they were giving away.

I appreciate your video however fortunately I read @dpratt2000 comments on FIRST removing the two Philips head screws on the far right of the grill (far right plastic trim has two slots on side in order to insert a Philips screwdriver) and pulling off the knobs. The metal face control panel then easily lifts out giving you full access to the igniter button (without removing the grey larger plastic button) and the burners. It is necessary to remove/loosen the two brackets holding the burners which are very easy to reach now that the metal control panel cover is removed. Makes the whole process of replacing the burners, crossover tube, and the igniter so much easier. Love our two burner Weber Genesis Silver grill. Still going strong since 2002 with a little TLC and replacement parts. Check this video out to see what 2 screws to remove FIRST. ruclips.net/video/5E_yI-ACqrI/видео.html
