I watched this episode many many years ago and visiting Alinea was on my bucked list. I was fortunate to celebrate our anniversary with my husband there last December. We were completely stunned with food, service and atmosphere. Incredible place! Cannot wait to visit other places around the world! Hope they are still open though 😁
I saw the full episode, and you're completely right, he did do that! The next scene was a purposed burger-date with your mother, and while Andrew was pre-gaming with a couple dozen burgers, your mother sent him a selfie, which then made him puke right into the toilet while realizing what a huge mistake he made. Kudos for your father for having such a strong stomach and being able to fornicate with your mom c:
1:20 "...doing with food what Doctor Frankenstein did with dead matter." So, he's bringing it back to life after joining disparate pieces together? Pretty sure that is an eating experience I would not enjoy. I prefer that what I'm eating be dead and cooked generally speaking, not alive and running from villagers chasing it with torches and pitchforks. Bad analogy Andrew, bad analogy.

I found out that the final course WAS the inspiration for "The Menu"!!! Now I want a Cheeseburger and Crinkle Fries!
Alinea was a once in a lifetime experience. Absolutely incredible, delicious, outrageous!
Amazing❤❤
Why does that final course on the table remind me of "The Menu"?
Forget that restaurant in Chicago
Love it but how much?
That restaurant is very expensive something like $500 a person but it’s rated a top restaurant in the world
Interesting 🤔 🧊
Can I have the leftover heat from those Thai chili's?
he probably went for a burger after throwing up in the toilet.

Most pretentious thing ive seen. I love the science and passion, but come on!
Turn this crap off and watch Jacques Pepin.
