Good to hear the rapid blu seems ok. Got some recommended from a guy in the plumbers merchants and used it on the rad valves for 18 cast iron rads. Not filled it yet so hope it all holds up. I had an old stand type bender years ago where you changed the former for 15/22/28 and used it a lot back in the days of 28 primaries. As pipe sizing got smaller and lots of Poly 1st fixing I never used it very much, ended up taking it to the dump one Sunday I think.
You can also bend electrical conduit, but with an internal electrical spring. There's a good RUclips video of how to do it. Means that the fittings will all be compatible
I personally think the rapid blue is rubbish had a few issues on larger fittings. I strongly recommend the flowplast thread seal from screwfix.... beware though as its very strong stuff. Ive used for years and can highly recommend.
I found rapid blue 100% reliable so far. Over the last week I've actually been assembling screw joints that I couldn't get dry so I was expecting some problems but so far so good
From my experience It’s depends on the make, 10 years ago I used to do a lot of site work and used to pull bends on overflow pipe (plumb Center own brand pipe, no problem) - the company I work for now only tends to use City plumbing over on the IOW and they only sell Osma, it just kinks or spilts ☹️ or at least that’s been my experience.

Been using it for ages, I called the manufacturer and they said you can use it on plumbing and all gas types including air lines
Good tips👍

I tried pulling a 90 on overflow and it just creased. What’s the secret?
