We protect our culture and history. We are neither racist nor xenophobic, we like foreign tourists or refugees if we respect our culture. We are tolerant, but we definitely do not agree with refugee quotas and you probably guess why I react like this

+Tomáš Krutílek Není důvod, České země vždy víc komunikovaly se západními sousedy, kdyžto slovenské území spadalo pod Uhry. Převážne samozřejmě. Mentalita je dost rozdílná, srozumitelný jazyk není důvod spojit dva územní celky dohromady. Navíc si myslím, že zkrátka Slováci mají právo si konečně o sobě rozhodovat sami.

A co konkrétně bylo lepší v té "spolupráci" tenkrát než je dnes? To jen mozek generuje nostalgické vzpomínky a vymazává to ošklivé. To je tak nějak jeho přirozená vlastnost.

I'm just back from a holiday there. I must say the people in general are kind and helpfull and indeed a very nice landscape and buildings. The roads in general are good, in the countryside they are a bit worse, but still not bad. And the prices of food and drink are still pretty cheap. The landscape in the north is much different than in the south ( more greener and many small lakes ).
Glad you had a positive experience from my homeland. Just that "lakes" are fish ponds all made by human in the history. We have just a few tiny lakes in the mountains.
