Cesky Krumlov and Cesky Budjovice are tops on my list. I think the Czech Republic is one of those countries where the capital Prague overshadows the rest of the country, seems like most travelers just visit Prague and forget about everything else. Great vid!
Budějovice are not (it is plural) that amazing. I live here and I was born here. It is not an ugly town, but nothing special. I advise you to visit city Olomouc, it is a marvel of baroque architecture, and the only reason it is not listed in UNESCO, is because of internal strife from rival cities in it´s region. Now it seems only church sponsored tourists from spain discovered it´s beauty (it is a seat of arcibishop). Apart from architecture, it is also a fortress town, which played important role in war with Sweden and Prussia. P.S.: Rent hotel room in Budějovice, Krumlov is probably overpriced. There is a train connection which gets you there in 40 mins. Trains allow bicycles, and this particular railway has scenic views of countryside. Use the time you stay here to visit Hluboká nad Vltavou castle, Třeboň (town), Červená Lhota and other spots in southern bohemian region, which you can reach in one day. P.P.S.: Visiting a candy shop (Cukrárna) is a MUST. We share the tradition of elegant desserts with Austria and it is the best thing Austria-Hungarian empire left us.
@@RyanShirley If you are going to South Bohemia, you can take a line - Vyšší Brod (monastery), Rožmberk (castle), Český Krumlov (conservation area town and castle UNESCO), Hluboká nad Vltavou (castle), Třeboň (town, castle, spas and lakes/ponds - conservation area & Biospheric reservation of UNESCO), Jindřichův Hradec (conservation area - town and third largest castle in Czechia), Červená Lhota (chateau), Tábor (conservation area of Husits mediaeval town) and Bechyně (conservation area town and castle). And there is a special small reneissance gem on borders with Austria called Slavonice. There are best facades and archways in houses there (conservation area).

Czechia is one of the best places to visit in Europe. As you have shown, old villages, castles, forests and then there's Prague itself which was mostly spared bombing in WWII. Czechia is also known for its glassmaking and it's worth checking that out, much of it near Karlovy Vary, a spa town. Also the food is fantastic. I noticed you watch Cold Fusion; your comment got a lot of replies in agreement.

Hi, really nice video! I'm also Czech and here is my recommendation for those who love nature: At the south you can find town called Třeboň. It's surronded by more than 500 ponds. At the start of autumn, when morning fogs are floating above the surface and the sun is rising, it's magical moment. Nature around Třeboň is full of woods, meadows and ponds. Every fan of nature will love it. ;)
advice from Czech: dont go to prague, dont go to cesky krumlov. Go Olomouc instead of Prague, visit Moravsky kras, Bouzov, ... you will thank me later when you find you saved a lot of money and saw maybe even better things then described in this video.

very nice video, it's great that you visited other parts of my country besides Prague and Czech Krumlov, I'm from Liberec, it's nice here, but I have to admit that South Bohemia or South Moravia are the most beautiful of our country.
Great video. I am from Slovakia, but I have to admit, Czech republic is my favorite country. Especially Prague and Brno, also the castle Karlstejn is very beautiful.
If you're into more industrial vibe (not for everyone, I know), the region around Ostrava and Ostrava itself is home to many old factories and mining towers now made accessible to the public. It is very aesthetic in its own way. Also, Olomouc has all of Prague's history and charm with almost none of the crowds and tourist pandering, if you'd prefer to enjoy your tour of a beautiful historical city in peace and quiet. As great as this video is, all but one of the places listed are in Bohemia, which is just one of the three historical lands that make up the Czech Republic. Moravia and Silesia have much to offer as well.
This coming August il be visiting Prague 😁 !!! Wish to travel some other parts of Czech Republic. They got loads of beautiful places 💚!!! Thanks for your video !
There is no difference between Germany, Austria and Czech Republic. Only the language. We always ment to be one country. A strong one with the greatest history.
In my opinion Central Europe (Czech Republic, Austria, Germany, Poland and Slovenia etc.) have one of the most interesting history and beautiful architecture in all of Europe. That’s because these countries were the cultural crucible and ground for great historical events.❤️

Hi, I am Czech from Slavkov u Brna, city known for the battle of three emperors. If you ever stop by make sure to come in early December when it is an anniversary of the battle. There is always a reconstruction of the battle at the very place it happened with hundreds to thousands of soldiers wearing historical costumes, guns and even dozens of cannons and horses. In the end of the battle they all move to Slavkov castle for a parade and arrival of Napoleon. There are many street stalls to buy traditional food and sweets and of course mulled wine which will keep you warm (as the street fires all over the main square) cause it is beginning of winter. It all ends with monumental fireworks, light/laser show and music. Also there is usually some stage with many artist playing and performing. Btw, very beautiful video about my country.
Such an amazing video. Pure beauty. Thanks. I read the comments section, people seem to be quite impressed, and it's so nice. Greetings from the Czech Republic.

Thanks so much Dina! So cool you have a friend living there. Can’t wait for you to revisit!
I love Prague. One of my favourite cities. I was there many years ago. Thanks for another fantastic video;)
So sweet you’ve been! Such a magical place!
👍👍
Czechia and Slovakia heart of the Europe ! shame we broke up
Both are incredible countries!
Karlstejn - Kings Castle , Hluboka Castle - castle like from fairy tales .. and from nature wonders ... Bohemian Switzerland etc.. The Czechia can offer more than people know
I gotta visit all those castles and bohemian Switzerland :)
Great video, as always 👍
I have some another good tips in CZ for you Ryan 😉
- Krkonoše
- Czech Switzerland
- Podyjí (National park Podyjí, Vranov dam and several castles above it, Znojmo City)
- Moravian Karst (Macocha abyss, Punkva cave)
- Beskydy
- Karlovy Vary
- Adršpach rocks
- Czech Karst (Karlštejn castle, Great America quarry)
- ...+ in Mikulov/Lednice area, whole "Pálava" region is worthvisiting for easy hikes, cycling routes and awesome wine
PS: I hope that your next video will be about Slovakia 🖖
Thanks so much brother! I gotta go back and visit them all
Just a correction, it is Bohemian Switzerland, and Bohemian Kras (names have nothing to do with Czech nationality, they derive from land Bohemia)
1:15 why are you mentioning the Prague Castle when showing the Church of Our Lady before Týn? Otherwise, great shots!
Mistake on my end 🤦🏼♂️😅
Czechia is one of the best places to visit in Europe. As you have shown, old villages, castles, forests and then there's Prague itself which was mostly spared bombing in WWII. Czechia is also known for its glassmaking and it's worth checking that out, much of it near Karlovy Vary, a spa town. Also the food is fantastic. I noticed you watch Cold Fusion; your comment got a lot of replies in agreement.
You couldn’t have said it better! Crazy how much WW2 affected Czechia but so thankful Prague and Cesky Krumlov avoided damage. That’s funny you noticed my comment, i really enjoy his videos!
@@RyanShirley It was right up near the top and had a lot of replies, and you know how RUclips works. It's a great channel and Dagogo has a great narrating voice.
It´s no Czechia but Czech bro... You can also say Bohemia... Petr from Czech... LOL
@@petrhaisman8645 Czech = Český (adjective), nothing else. Bohemia + Moravia = Czechia (Česko), Czech Republic

That’s awesome! I need to visit your city :)
Hi, really nice video! I'm also Czech and here is my recommendation for those who love nature:
At the south you can find town called Třeboň. It's surronded by more than 500 ponds. At the start of autumn, when morning fogs are floating above the surface and the sun is rising, it's magical moment. Nature around Třeboň is full of woods, meadows and ponds. Every fan of nature will love it. ;)
I really like St.barbara's cathedral in Kutna Hora. It's just 1 hour from prague.
advice from Czech: dont go to prague, dont go to cesky krumlov. Go Olomouc instead of Prague, visit Moravsky kras, Bouzov, ... you will thank me later when you find you saved a lot of money and saw maybe even better things then described in this video.
Hi, I am czech and I like this vid, good job! I have one more recommendation: Churh in Kutná Hora, it is a big church with a lot of detail and it is on UNESCO
I'd love to check it out next time! Thanks for the recommendation :)
Hi guy. The places are really like a fairy tale. Wonderful morning fog. I need to get there. Keep doing what you do. 👣 Greetings from Helsinki 🇫🇮
Nothing like some good morning fog over a castle! I need to visit your city soon
@@RyanShirley Hi guy. I look forward to more adventures 👣

Thanks so much brother! Hope all is well
Yes Bro! Czech Republic - CZ (Bohemia Kingdoms)
Czechia is fucking bullshit! ..hold me beer and give me new "Tuplák" best beer for me new brother!
I don't know if I can trust you that it's your favorite country if you can't even spell it, not even close bro! I'm glad you didn't use flag of the Philippines, lol
Its a great country offering many experiences.
Are you planning to explore my home country, Slovakia too? This small cheap country is also worth a visit and it hides much more than just its capital city and its most popular Tatra mountains.
You should try visit Třebíč too, it is not so far from Telč 🙂 How lovely is my country, thanks for video and Greetings from Czechia 👋❤🇨🇿
I'd love to check it out! You're from a lovely place!
I'm not sure how Karlovy Vary did not make this list! The Spas, the natural hot springs, the gorgeous architecture, amazing food...it's such a magical town! If Prague is my no 1, KV is def my #2!
Also Loket Castle!
I should have included Karlovy Vary!
Thank you very much for this nice video. I'm from Doksy by Mácha lake, near by Bezděz. I'm so proud of this area ;-)
Thanks Milan! So cool you live near Bezděz!
When u realize that most ppl that clicked on this are Czechs...

So glad I found your channel 🤗 this is on my bucket list also Portugal 🇵🇹 you’re so you and have experienced so much! Wish I would have traveled a little more
I am from Czech republic as well. Most of the turists think, that Czechia = Prague. But there are very nice places outside of it. I am from Highland region. Telč is very nice and also the Green montain you showed in outro. I would also recommend Hluboká castle, which is very nice.
very nice video, it's great that you visited other parts of my country besides Prague and Czech Krumlov, I'm from Liberec, it's nice here, but I have to admit that South Bohemia or South Moravia are the most beautiful of our country.
Great video. I am from Slovakia, but I have to admit, Czech republic is my favorite country. Especially Prague and Brno, also the castle Karlstejn is very beautiful.
Wow! So amazing! Wonderful landscapes of Czech Republic. Absolutely enjoy your video.
Thanks so much friend! All the best :)
Czech Republic 🇨🇿 one of the beautiful country in Europe
It really is !
Myslíš že by někdo kliknul na video kde bude vidět nechutná Ostrava nebo Olomouc ? 😂
@@YoloSwagginscz Olomouc že je nechutná? No ty budeš hodně velkej znalec tvl 🤣

There is no difference between Germany, Austria and Czech Republic. Only the language. We always ment to be one country. A strong one with the greatest history.
Oh boy...sadly you have made some typical tourist mistakes...
Excellent video as always! I'd love to visit The Czech Republic some day, gorgeous country! Thank you.

I am here in prague, visited cesky krumlov, kunta hora what a beautiful country. Highly recommend
That’s awesome you’re there!
Nice. Greetings from Ljubljana Slovenia 🇸🇮✌️
Thanks friend! Love your country too
In my opinion Central Europe (Czech Republic, Austria, Germany, Poland and Slovenia etc.) have one of the most interesting history and beautiful architecture in all of Europe. That’s because these countries were the cultural crucible and ground for great historical
events.❤️
I hope you mean Slovakia, not Slovenia 🙂
@@stanoo1899 Slovenia is also in central europe
@@oliversodomka3651 Oh, you are right.. I thought that He just forgot one of the really Central European state.
I first thought that Slovenia is northest South European, but.. Thank you for you correction
@@stanoo1899 you're welcome! And yes, it's pretty sad he forgot Slovakia
@@oliversodomka3651 He can add Hungary and Slovakia to central europe, but im pretty sure Slovakia is more eastern than Slovenia which is essentialy Austria II. Even Slovaks say they are more "vychodnari" - by culture and mentality easterners than Czechs and Slovenes are maybe even more westernised than Czechs.
I am impressed you did such a great job being american - don't want to offend you, but I think you got the sense of all places. Congrats! Love your video. I'm Czech.

Thanks so much Tomas! What part of the Czech Republic are you from?
