  • This is a video of the removal of the stock exhaust and the installation of the Good-Win Racing RoadsterSport SuperStreet single tip exhaust. It sounds absolutely incredible and I highly recommend it! This was installed on my 2020 Mazda Miata.

    This is the best video for comparing the SS with/without the baffle vs stock. And you went through two different cameras for sound quality. Mad props.

      Thanks! I didn't want one specific mic source to possibly sway how someone felt when the only reason someone may (or may not) like the sound is only because one tech manufacturer's microphone does weird things for EQ and whatnot.

    Like the video, a couple things I noticed. Eye protection, its cheap and is something small/simple that could help from ruining your day. It is probably the magic of editing so you may have done it this way, but I would unbox the new part before removing the oem muffler. So many times I have started doing something only to get to the install and something is messed up or wrong with the boxed part. In this case it likely doesn't matter because if it is scratched it is under the car anyway.
    What is the creeper you used and do you like it?
    Thank you for making the video, it helps to see how it is done. I also enjoy the annotations versus talking in the video at each part, well done.

    • @maxamillionmoneybags

      Good call on the eye pro, I definitely need to use PPE more in general.
      The creeper is the Pittsburg brand from harbor freight,so fairly cheap at around $30, it gets the job done pretty well! I have no complaints.
      Thanks for taking the time to comment!

    Nice video. This exhaust is a great one. I run mine with no baffle. It was a little boomy for me at first…especially at highway low rpm’s speeds. Now….I embrace it. The sound is awesome in all driving modes. I’ve had a KHS Legamax dual tip (way too quiet but looks awesome) and a Cobalt (sounds great too)…GWR superstreet sounds the best overall to me.

      I'm with you! I run no baffle and heck sometimes I wish it was even a smidge louder! But I really love the sound. I have zero regrets with it. If I want more sound I'll just add headers and a mid pipe.

    Nice comparison vid!
    How does it sound higher in the revs, under load etc? Any pops or crackles? Also does it drone when cruising at all?

    • @maxamillionmoneybags
      @maxamillionmoneybags  Год назад

      If you're going fast enough (about 4k or higher) you may notice some slight droning. I don't tend to notice it too much though. It sounds really nice under load though with the higher RPMs. I sometimes wish it were a little louder even because it sounds so good 🤣 I don't tend to get many pops or crackles though unfortunately. You could always have it tuned to give you some though at the sake of a little fuel economy.

    Is there much drone with this muffler?
    I installed an ISR muffler delete and it was way too loud and boomy for me, tons of drone.
    Made my ears ring after a spirited Drive.
    Looking for something with less drone and boomy.

    • @maxamillionmoneybags
      @maxamillionmoneybags  9 месяцев назад +1

      I’ve taken 4+ hour drives and it doesn’t have any annoying ringing after, and that’s without the baffle in. If you put the baffle in, it’s much like the stock exhaust but just with a much better tone!

    • @maxamillionmoneybags
      @maxamillionmoneybags  Год назад +1

      Solid baffle, but honestly I run it without a baffle at all. The noise level really isn't too loud, especially under "normal" driving conditions (lower RPM, shifting at 3k or so)

    What is a baffle ? Serious question

    • @maxamillionmoneybags
      @maxamillionmoneybags  Год назад +1

      A baffle is a device placed in the exhaust tip (in the case of this exhaust it's bolted in) and it reduces the noise output of the exhaust by blocking some of the airflow. It's kinda funny looking honestly, it looks like part of a fence post almost 😂

    Hello there! I'm thinking about buying this exhaust. It would be wonderful if you can help me with some questions. How loud is the volume below 4000 rpm with baffle in, compared to the stock? Also how easy is it to put in the baffle and remove it? Do you think this would be a doable job for someone with very little experience working on cars, except for basic basic stuff like tire rotation and oil change? Thanks!

    • @maxamillionmoneybags
      @maxamillionmoneybags  Год назад +1

      The noise with baffle in under 4000 rpm is actually quite similar to stock, just sounds better frankly. And putting the baffle in is SUPER easy. It's one bolt right under the exhaust tip. This job was super simple and took maybe an hour or two? Not many tools needed either. I'd say it's very doable for anyone!

    • @maxamillionmoneybags
      @maxamillionmoneybags  Год назад +1

      Nope, this won't void warranty. If you're still nervous about it, you can always put the stock one back on if you have to have any warranty work done, but really it's not going to be a problem.

    I've just had this installed; I'm finding it a bit boomy when cruising on the motorway, with the baffle in!
    How have you found it?

    • @maxamillionmoneybags
      @maxamillionmoneybags  Год назад +3

      Oh very interesting, I found that with the baffle in it's tame at nearly all cruising RPM. I do wonder if maybe you need to re-seat the exhaust to the mid-pipe to make sure you're not getting a sound leak from there.
      Side note, I almost never use the baffle because I personally feel like the volume level with no baffle is the sweet spot of hearing it myself and still not annoying other people. That one can kind of drone when cruising though, but it doesn't really bother me.

    • @expert_procrastinator

      @maxamillionmoneybags6350 hmm that's food for thought. I paid a garage to install it and I did notice the connection doesn't look perfect. I'll start it up tomorrow, get my head under and see if I can see a leak.
