If your prot gear is Wrath lvl 70 blues and BS stuff I suggest you try the shattered halls instead, 4400 xp per mob with rested (at lvl 72), seems a lot easier than the botanica as well.
We gotta stop calling this a Prot Warrior spec just cause he's wearing a shield. He has more arms than prot talents. He's a GLADIATOR WARRIOR! :D

You can't, you need T6 level tank gear and to hardstack block rating to make this viable

This spec is currently all over the prepatch, stomping all the content. I main Fury, but this is my dual spec secondary. It's hard for dps players to even keep up with the tank's dps in most pulls, let alone pull aggro.
Why would you want to pull aggro from a tank? That's called a bad thing. They increased the threat generated by all tanks because it was simply too difficult to tank in BC and no one wanted to do it. Mages blizzard would pull off any tank anywhere. The less threat you generate while optimizing your DPS is the key. Don't pull aggro, or even try, to pull aggro from a tank. That's called being a bad DPS
@@haventthoughtofanameyet6364 I know pulling aggro is a bad thing, that goes without saying. I wasn't saying the GOAL of a dps is to pull aggro. I was simply saying tanks do so much damage now, that the idea of pulling aggro is mostly unheard of now.

How much avoidance do you need in order to do this successfully? Can you get enough prot gear without doing SWP or very much BT?
Isnt a axe spec better than sword spec, because of 5% more crit?

@@jurgenbuntinx1 It was nerfed in WOTLK though. Internal CD of 6 seconds.. Axe is better now unless you happen to have a really nice sword.
when you pop sweeping strikes, do you think its worth to have a stop attack macro for your revenge so that it doesnt consume sweeping stacks? great video btw
Yes. A stopattack macro is a pretty big dps boost to Sweeping Strikes
in his position id rather learn how to use keybinds instead of this mess..i know its hard because we have a lot of spells and i find myself struggling to find the best fitting binds (cuz 3 are reserved for stance swap)
@@Max-dv1kq my man, u never bind stances to the bar, I learned that since I am new to the game, u just need a macro to swap the stance when u use an ability in a different stance automatically, saves u 3 bar slots that u can bind important things onto
you'll only need retal and recklessness macro's thats it, i've got those; i've said 3 because some people use another macro for going back into prot stance but you could also macro this with a prot stance ability you're absolutley right
@@Max-dv1kq I just use numpad 1 2 3 for stance dance then you know shift 1 2 3 4, middle mouse, shift c, shift x, etc.
You want team up with ret paly or enh shamy for this. Instant heals. Good bufs, good dmg, no downtime.

Yea, go quest. I hit 80 in a week from 70 and that was with all players waiting for the xpac to drop. Must have been 300 or more alliance on the boat to Valiance keep lol got my druid his epic flying and went 70-73 in a day just questing
can you do this with s4 pvp gear?
Not really
no because pvp gear gives you no avoidance. The entire idea behind this is to minimize getting hit and when u do you minimize the damage you take. All you get from pvp gear is resilience which makes u crit immune to bosses and that doesn't matter here.

I recognize a lot of gear. But i don't know what rings those are. Or the helmet/chest. Not sure if they are tier, or offset t6 gear.
Believe the shoulders are the nonset from sunwell...
But a 70 upgrade link would be nice for us other prot warriors to see if our gear is somewhat similair.
It really isnt a huge need to have his same specific gear. Just want as much tank as possible for as much avoidance as possible and slowly mix in dps gear like trinkets rings and such until it becomes unsafe. Although i think it should be said the trinket that comes out of Heroic Shattered Halls can be really useful for keeping your HP topped off.
What is that Addon? U got that combat scrolling text there, where it tells u that a Revenge proced and so on and the damage you took?? Pls ive been looking for quite a while for it. Help pls
No addon. Just blizz floating combat text. Can be found under Interface > Combat. The Revenge proc popup is part of "Reactive Spells & Abilities"

did you just stack how ever much block you could or is there some special sense for your gearing?
I stacked as much Block Rating/Dodge/Parry as I could to trigger Revenge as much as possible. My gear had 1108 Block Value passively and that was enough. Here's the set I used eightyupgrades.com/set/5DvL9MBxKS54NwFyRrdG9e There's still a lot of optimizations you can do such as swapping to a slow axe instead of sword

Not really. Your damage would be better, but you really need that dodge, parry, and block rating.
What passive do you have as a warrior that is healing you (sorry new to war , boosted 1 for an alt)
Second wind in arms, also the trinket gives 120 heal on block for 20 seconds
something must have changed. i was trying to do this this morning, and the damage is way buffed. i have full t6 with some SWP gear, and still dying to the dragon+2 guy mobs.

full t6 doesnt matter for the most part. its choosing lvl 70 items with the highest block. i was trying to do this with full brutal gear and was failing, changed it around to higher block gear and it works like a charm

You want avoidance to proc revenge more often. You will be able to, just slower cleartime

Would have to pull smaller and eat more but yeah. My avoidance scales down when I level and I was still doing 14-15minute runs with 70-80% avoidance instead of 93%. Gear makes this significantly easier tho and I think 1k sbv is required

This can get you banned now, it's considered boosting. One of our guild mates was doing this, got killed by a GM disconnected and banned for 30 days, appealing it did nothing, they're banned.

You can technically do this till 77 make a shit ton of gold as well Ur basically spamming revenge/cleave and into battle stacke to pop sweeping strike as often as u can along with the glyph for improved cleave!! nice video thats sick!
Why just until 77?...I am playing currently that build for bgs and it is broken. I wonder if this will be viable at 80 on ph1. If it is, would it worth it to take the bladestorm path or get more protection talents?...it seems it just better to go deep arms, right?
@@wgdo0111 I mean mean technically ya u could go till 80 but there prolly a better xp option i plan to do Kara/Shat halls till 73 then go here so itll be super easy im sure the gold is very good to noone has been saying the GPH cus everyone was doin in beta and not worrying about looting im curiou to see tho i no off kara solo im able to make 500+g per hr vendoring and stuuf
