That quote came from Delta Force Legend, Sgt Major Pat Savidge. One of the team leaders in the 1989 hostage rescue of Kurt Muse in Panama. The 1st successful unilateral hostage rescue mission of the Units history
The right guy is the best guy.
Unit guy... he also said Delta wants the best of what you do. Best cook, best grunt, best sapper, anything but the best the army or any other service has to offer.
I love the podcast guys. Finals for my last semester of college has been stressful but taking time to listen to new and all old episodes allows me to relax. You guys are the best!

This is in fact the case.
I read a random library book about that group once but I've never heard anyone talk about being part of it. Even he didn't mention anything specifically. A friend of mine was attached to JSOC in a support role, and when I asked him he didn't know what I was talking about...spooky!
Not even those that were in that particular unit will barely peep about a specificity regarding it. Even to this day and age with the internet.
This man came from where I come from, & lived in the same city where I grew up in. It’s so interesting to see where people who’ve had such an impact come from.
