Spent 1 year there with the Army Infantry, Nov. 2005-Nov. 2006. The summer of 2006 was a wild time. I will never forget it.

As someone who was in Ramadi for multiple tours I’ll let you know it was Iranian State sponsored operatives and those highly trained by them. It was Iranian arms and Iranian bomb (IED) making materials and know how. He’s acting like it’s some super secret but I assure you it’s not. It’s very common knowledge. There are other aspects that are not widely shared but for the most part that’s NOT what he’s referring to. There were a metric shiitt ton of amazing stories to come out of Ramadi and he didn’t even scratch the surface.

Was in Ramadi in September of 06 thru may of 07. 1/6 Marines infantry. Ramadi was hell on earth

I couldn't imagine having to be the guys clearing out Ramadi house by house. From what I've read and the videos I've seen about it make it seem like a nightmare. The men and women that cleared that city of those state-sponsored shit bags are nothing short of amazing.

Anyone who does interviews surrounding things they can’t talk about should take notes. How many times did you hear “I can’t talk about that” or “that’s classified”? I’m pretty sure that’s a fat zero. I enjoy the “let’s keep it simple”, for 1 example. Erick is masterful at that and I certainly appreciate it.

Was it not Jocko as task unit commander in Ramadi in “06?
They ripped out with another seal team in September or October. Was there from September 06 thru May 07. Marcus Latrell team took over. Worked with them for a week in November.

@@Jacob-vm7dq Really? I was on that compound starting in April 07 and there was a SEAL task force down the road from us. I thought they were Team 10, but I could be absolutely mistaken. We didn't interact with them much.
Different task force. Jocko did not work for JSOC. He's likely talking about an Iraq-wide task force commander.
