isn't the entire point of Stone Ocean that Jotaro acting this way ruined Jolyne's life lol

Jotaro didn't directly do anything to cause jolyne's issues that landed her in jail, he was on a mission around globe defeating stand users by himself.
Dio's minions are dangerous and honestly you could say that killing Dio is the sole reason jolyne had to suffer.
But that's unfair, killing dio saved future lives and his mom.
Dio's minions and Dio himself are the reason jolyne went through what she did, dio is the reason jotaro couldn't spend time with her.
He loved her, he always did, that's ehy he did what he did.

@Grimnoire i'm not saying Jotaro didn't have his reasons, but he was never there for his daughter and never expressed any real affection for her before the events of Stone Ocean. he was cold, restrained, and distant, to the point where Jolyne genuinely believed that her dad didn't love her. that's directly related to her issues! i like Jotaro and Jolyne as characters, but treating Jotaro as this perfect role model instead of a deeply flawed character is missing the point imo

@@junker-f3m In the end his coldness was a front to protect jolyne, it was only when he was there for her, finally, that she was in real danger. All because Pucci wanted those memories.
It's a tragedy that never would have happened if it wasn't for Pucci anyhow.
It's also important to notice that he (Jotaro) isn't a bad person, and risked everything for his daughter. His stand, his life, even the universe.
If it weren't for Pucci constantly hunting him down, I think he'd be a good dad, look at his relationship with Josuke and Koichi. He's obviously capable.

"A man who controls his emotions, and never shies away from reponsibility"...
    Younger Jolyne wouldn't agree

I love Jotaro but peak masculinity would be either his Great Great grandfather Jonathan OR great grandfather George II (his novel version that is...).

You can watch anime and still unlock true masculinity just don’t rely on it too much and actually focus on yourself
