This whole time... I just had to find the Gordon hiding in my kitchen to prep everything. Cooking is so easy!
The main reason that people get takeaways is convenience. Despite cooking something in under 20 mins that tastes good Gordon hasn't addressed that issue. The prep, choosing of ingredients and washing up was still taken care of.
If Moyles did everything from start to finish before the takeaway arrives then...I'd be astonished.

Unless there is another person cleaning and cutting up the chicken ready, washing the vegetables, peel the ginger and garlic, cutting all the vegetables, clean the pan afterwards ...then it will be 20 minutes.
Prepping is the important component in cooking and it took longer than 20 minutes to get a good homecook food.
All this cooking in less than 20 minutes or that one show with Jamie oliver cooking under 30 minutes is pure nonsense. As the prep was already done beforehand and it probably took at least 30 minutes to prep and clean.
But it is possible, if we prep it earlier at the beginning of the week, and planned our menu for the whole week.
Nah. If you can chop and cook at the same time it's possible to get 2 to 3 dishes done in 30 mins.
Tandoori chicken tastes alot better than pan cooked for sure
After worth. Good one.
I mean the only things that would need prepping here was the chicken and coriander, the rest was just mix and put in pan, and both chicken and coriander can be bought pre cut
Yeah, you see them with it all laid out in their little bowls...
It takes at least five minutes to get a lot of that all measured out and ready for a relatively easy recipe. The more complex stuff takes much longer. And you can't keep much of that like that, especially the chopped stuff.
Not that homecooking isn't a great thing to do. It's just that unless you've done quite a bit of prep, you aren't going to be making anything great.

Anyone that knows cooking understands its preparation that takes time not the cooking.
Boris Erdogan In the restaurant/food service industry it is primarily the preparation that is mostly time consuming. Maybe if you cook a slice of bread it might depend like you said.
