    Paepercuts will this work for me?. I don’t have 7753 pieces of cork yet lol. Im just starting out learning diorama and bases. I have been using velejjo thick European mud, it’s great but expensive so this is super helpful thanks man. I really want to master Forrest and outdoor areas so anymore tutorials would be fantastic.
    As always love the video. and just to reiterate it’s great to see you putting videos out again after your break, always entertaining and helpful.

    I look for ward to trying this when I make the watering hole for my diorama for the Beasts of the Mesozoic. It's going to be great being able to put thick mud around the water's edge. I may even make molds of the footprints of my dinosaurs to increase the realism; make muddy trackways leading to and from the water...

    Thanks! I'll be mixing up a batch later. Have you made it in larger batches and saved for future use? If so, how long does it last?

    • @Paepercuts
      @Paepercuts  4 года назад +3

      Yes i often have leftover paste mixtures. You can wrap your container in some shrink wrap and place it in the fridge, it will keep for weeks. I only would add the cork at the last minute though, it absorbs moisture so your mixture will dry out quicker. When it's too tough you can always add a few drops of water. Cheers.

    Just a suggestion: you should make a waterfall and at the top should be a dinosaur roaring , it would be a great diorama

    Question. I'm used to making snow texture using elmer's school glue, snow flock and white paint. Will something similar work using the elmer's glue and like potting soil?

    2:25 Is 2,753 an accurate count, or just an estimate? It looks like several hundred, not thousands.

    what brand of fork do you recommend?

    • @Paepercuts
      @Paepercuts  4 года назад +3

      Well i'd say brand doesn't really matter, the importance is that it has 4 fingers on it. There may exist 3- fingered versions but that 1 extra is the way to professionalism!

    When you were adding the mud with the airbrush together with the regular paintbrush (8:17)... Were you using the paintbrush as a kind of mask to limit the area the airbrush was hitting? Or were you blowing just air out of the airbrush to blow paint off the brush and onto the surface?

    • @Paepercuts
      @Paepercuts  3 года назад +1

      Hi, I used the airbrush just for the airflow without the nozzle in it to splatter to paint on. The mask idea you mentioned could work, although the paint would need to be very thin or your nozzle may clog very quickly. I like the idea! Cheers.

    If you are making a large diorama with trees like this would you recommend building the trees first or adding them later? I was unsure of if I should just build it all before starting to paint.

    • @Paepercuts
      @Paepercuts  Год назад

      I usually make and paint the trees separate, and add them when the bulk of the groundwork is done. Easier to paint and add foliage to them that way. Have fun hobby-ing!

    Hi a question. Did u also use the verharder?

  • @Stringbean421
    @Stringbean421 3 года назад

    Is the potting soil just normal soil you get in bags from garden centres or places like Amazon? What do you mean by Sterilized Soil? Does potting soil already come sterilized or you have to do it yourself? Thanks.

    • @Paepercuts
      @Paepercuts  3 года назад

      Yes it is just the soil you put in your flower pots, even dirt from the garden will work. I sterilize it myself to get rid of bacteria and fungus. You could place it in the oven in a tray for a few minutes, being careful not to burn it. I have done it in an old pan aswell, if you want live footage i show it in my 'Forest Groundcover' video on my channel. Good luck!

  • @yveshermans1869

    Hoe gebruik je epoxy? 😋 stap 1 is duidelijk maar doe je dan erop nog verharder of hoe werkt dat?
