My local garden centers are pretty useless, so I'm excited to see how you grow your own materials! The director's cut also makes me feel better about my own misadventures getting natural material to stick right, haha.
AWESOME !!! What more can I say. However, it's easier when you have material from the likes of Diorama Presepe to add the ultra realistic effect. Unfortunately, I can't afford them and certainly not in a position to get them sent to me free of charge. Maybe, one day I will be able to afford them and my layout will look superb as well. In the meantime I will keep dreaming of winning the lottery. All that being said . . . . Your work is AWESOME and keeping my dream alive !!!! Keep up the tutorials and I love your work. Cheers, Rick the Bulldog.
Now I want to replicate that stone wall! Also, it was nice to see that others are struggling with these things too! :D You're so cool, for showing that too!
It's actually made from a gourd in the cucumber family - we normally grow this here in the Philippines. Much larger in size than the regular cucumber that most people know of
I would love to see you do more tips for working with natural materials, especially ones you've grown or found. I've picked up many branches that look promising with their scale but find the thin dry twigs to be brittle and easy to break. I wonder if there is a way to preserve them and make them tougher? I've considered dipping some in liquid 3D printing resin and leaving out in the sun to cure, but haven't tried that yet.
Thank you. It's worth a try for sure, let me know if you had good results. I think the best way to keep them flexible is to preserve them on the inside. I've tried it with glycerin but it needs to be done with branches who are freshly chopped from the tree, so they still suck up some moisture. I'll keep cooking with them until we discover the best methods! Cheers.
What about stabilizing resin or so called cactus juice? Normally stabilizing is done in a vacuum chamber I think, but since the sticks are so extremely thin maybe just soaking them in the resin would be enough. Just an idea!
Sandpaper Dutch. I'm definitely keeping that one! Also, can wait to learn to grow my own sea foam. That seems like a super fun project and like many Dutchies I already do have some experience with growing plants indoors.
Nice one! Then it should be easy for you. It's really relaxing and rewarding i found. I'm thinking of trying some different plant seeds this season i have some ideas that may turn into nice usable hobby materials. Thanks for joining Patreon i appreciate it! Cheers.
Another brilliant video... that really makes a difference to my hobby... just wish i had a garden centre like your one... cant find most of stuff u use 😭😭..but i have a garden so i get by. 👍😁 cant wait for next vid.
I really love your videos. U can learn a lot from them and tbh those products from diorama presepe are really really good. I would love to see that tutorial about growing seafoam trees. Anyway thnx for sharing this video with us, take care and be safe.
Thanks! Ja goed idee ik heb er al eens 1tje gebruikt in mijn Desert Terrain video, de baby Triceratops van Rebor. Heb nog de Carnotaurus en de Deinonychus trio liggen zal eens kijken die ook ergens in te gebruiken. Cheers.
Thank you great to hear that! The one I use is from a company named Warpainter Scenics. I got it from Ebay at the time I think. Good luck and thanks for watching.
Thanks! Ik kocht ze bij een klein handeltje dat geen website heeft volgens mij, weet er de naam ook niet precies meer van. Ik heb ze ook gezien bij online bloemisten, soms noemen ze het ook luffa of spons komkommer. Succes!
I think i bought them at Intratuin, but you are right Praxis sometimes sells decorative branches aswell. Best time to get them is around the winter months then they stock up on them in their stores. Cheers.
My local garden center knows me as the weird guy that missuses all their products now thanks to paepercuts
Hahaha i am proud to hear that! Our hunger for hobby more supplies will consume all and cannot be stopped ( /insert evil laugh )
best example of trees/hedges i've found on youtube so far
It's so cool that you're growing your own seafoam. Now you can just grow however much you want.
Thanks and yes that is true. If only i had a large garden....i'd probably make one huge hobby plantation so perhaps it's for the best :p Cheers.
Love the Directors Cut at the end of the vid. Makes You human ;D and shows perfectly the struggles of hobby life :)
Yes haha, lot of times my practice work ends up in the bin ;)
Looking forward to next time.
The root system for the hedges is absolutely amazing. It kills me that they are not explained! I need to know how to do that!!
In an upcoming video I thought he said.
@@T0mat0S0up Yes, but that was two years ago and I looked all around and couldn't find it.

You’ve always shown how each scenic feature was done but this felt more focused only on the major elements of the board. Great video.
Now I want to replicate that stone wall! Also, it was nice to see that others are struggling with these things too! :D You're so cool, for showing that too!
Thanks! The stone wall was really easy i'll see if i can put it in a video sometime. Cheers.

Have you talked about how to make those stone walls before?
I don't think i did, these were some experimental pieces i put together. I could put it in a video sometime, they were really easy to do. Cheers.
@@Paepercuts I'd be interested, they look excellent!
🤙🏼🍻🍺🤙🏻
Where did you find those nice branches? Praxis?

@@Paepercuts dankjewel
No dinosuar?
No this time, the dino park is closed in winter. More dino videos coming up though i've been gathering more models. Cheers.
@@Paepercuts T-Rex gets all the love but Carnotaurus is badass terrible lizard.
